Canada officially legalized marijuana on Wednesday, October 17, and with it came epic Twitter reactions to our friends from the north officially legalizing the devil’s lettuce.
But before we get to the jokes, let’s run over the facts. Here’s everything you need to know about weed legalization in Canada:
– The purchase/carry limit is 30 grams of marijuana.
– The marijuana must be purchased from a licensed vendor.
– You must be 19 or older to purchase marijuana.
– Marijuana can only be smoked in designated areas, which vary by province and locality.
Now that Canada has taken the next bold step into the narcotic future, hopefully, it’s only a matter of time before the United States follows suit. Because if we did, you KNOW social media would be an absolute party, similar to the one Canada is having right now.
