Bellator held back-to-back events on Friday and Saturday, with ‘Bellator 208: Fedor vs. Sonnen’ capping off a busy 48 hours. The event took place at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York with Fedor Emelianenko vs. Chael Sonnen looking to earn their spot in the Bellator MMA Heavyweight World Grand Prix against Ryan Bader.
Bader punched his ticket to the final with a win over Matt Mitrione in their semifinal bout on Friday night.
In the co-main event, former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson squared off with Saad Awad, while a heavyweight scrap between UFC veterans Cheick Kongo and Timothy Johnson also took place on the main card.
