Monday Night Raw finds it’s way to the Lone Star State for tonight’s edition of the flagship show. The Money In The Bank Ladder matches are set for June 17 but there are scores to settle in the meantime. Former universal champions will be facing off tonight and we will find out if Ronda Rousey’s friend will be able to take care of Nia Jax before they meet at MITB. Also, who will be the number one contenders for the Raw Tag Teams Championships at MITB? All of this will be decided at Raw tonight!
Monday Night Raw will be in the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas tonight.
On the May 28th rendition of Raw saw Bobby Roode take on Kevin Owens. When Braun Stroman decided to come out and lay waste to KO, Bobby Roode was right there to gleefully cheer Stroman on. The jubilation wouldn’t last long though, with The Monster Among Men turning on Roode a laying him out. Now The Glorious One will have the chance to get payback this week. The two MITB competitors will be looking to get a leg up before the June 17 PPV.
Last week Kevin Owens took it upon himself to interfere in Finn Balor’s match with Braun Stroman, causing a DQ. Now Balor will get a shot at revenge on tonight’s Raw. It will be a match-up of the first ever Universal Champion and the man who won his vacated belt after his injury. Which former champ will come out on top? And will this grudge match carry over to the MITB Ladder match in which both men will be competing?
It seems that Nia Jax has completely forgotten about her anti-bully attitude that she was so vocal about at Backlash, making short work of a jobber last week while taunting Ronda Rousey. Jax has quickly shed her want to support the women around her, opting to crush a girl for fun just to help emphasize her taunting of Rousey. But before she defends her title against Rousey at MITB she will have to go through Rousey’s friend and WWE veteran Natalya. Natalya is one of the most gifted technical wrestlers on the Women’s roster and has more experience than almost anyone. She could be a tall order for The Irresistible Force, will Jax be ready for the challenge?
Last week the B-Team, made up of former Miztourage members Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, tried to throw a Memorial Day BBQ for the other Tag Teams in the division on Raw. The celebration broke into a food fight fueled brawl. Afterwards, the B-Team demanded a Title match against current holders The Deleter of Worlds from Raw GM Kurt Angle. They will get their chance tonight in the Tag Team Battle Royal to decide the number one contenders to the Tag Team Titles. The B-Team has been performing above and beyond everyone’s expectations, but will they be able to secure their spot at MITB?
