Corinne Foxx, the daughter of multi-talented superstar Jamie Foxx, is a model and actress. Corinne got her start in the entertainment industry thanks to her father giving a cameo in The Jamie Foxx Show at age six before she made regular appearances as her father’s date on the red carpet at major events. She was Miss Golden Globe in 2016 and is set to become the DJ for the second season of the game show Beat Shazam.
Foxx is excited to see his daughter step out of his shadow on the upcoming season of the show — which premieres on May 29.
“When she was 10 years old, she was with me during the Oscars, and she leaned over in my ear and said, ‘Dad, even if you don’t win, you’re still a great actor,'” Foxx said during an appearance onThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert. “So when I see her now moving to Beat Shazam, and she takes over — I was flubbing all my lines in the beginning, because I was just watching her; watching this girl who has been in the shadow of her father and now steps out in such a fantastic way.”
Corinne didn’t adopt the stage name of Foxx until the mid-2010s, after being born Corinne Marie Bishop. She was previously on the cover of American Cheerleader after joining the cheer team at Sierra Canyon High School, and was also a cheerleader at the University of Southern California. She also attended Howard Fine Acting Studio and the American Academy for Dramatic Arts.
Outside of acting, Foxx has had a successful modeling career working with brands such as Ralph Lauren, Dolce & Gabbana, and Kenneth Cole. She also walked in New York Fashion Week as part of Kanye West’s Yeezy line.
