On Wednesday, May 23, 2018, EA DICE will reveal the next installment in the Battlefield video game franchise, a game that EA promises will reshape the way gamers view first-person shooters. The reveal will be hosted by game connoisseur and Daily Show host Trevor Noah and will feature panels of developers and game designers and will be live streamed on a number of accessible platforms.
EA has been developing the Battlefield games since 2002 and, as of 2018, has made over fifteen titles for the franchise, including DLC, for almost every major gaming device. Outside of s’s, however, EA has suffered a vast loss of popularity among gamers in recent years. Their hard-line adoption of the loot-box, pay-to-win policy has become such a loathsome subject that it’s become something of a rite of passage for game reviewers to take vicious pot shots at the company for its unethical business model.
Still, the last Battlefield game was the respectable Battlefield 1, which upended the usual FPS formula by putting players in a more realistic and grounded simulation of World War I. The game was as much a history and philosophy lesson as it was a form of entertainment, making it stand out in its genre.
Hopefully, EA will be able to give the same legitimacy to Battlefield V.

How To Live Stream The Battlefield V Reveal On YouTube
The easiest way to watch the Battlefield V reveal is through the YouTube vide embed below. The stream is already set up, so you just have to wait for the show to start and chat with your fellow gamers to pass the time. You don’t need an account to watch the stream, but you’ll have to make or sign into one if you want to use the chat function. Then again, this is YouTube so silence might just keep you out of a troll war in the comment section. The reveal can also be streamed through the YouTube app for iOS and Android, letting you watch the show on mobile as well.
How To Live Stream The Battlefield V Reveal On Twitch
If YouTube is too temperamental for you or you want to see other gamers reacting to the reveal, it’s also being streamed on the Battlefield Twitch account. Once again, watching doesn’t require an account but if you want to join the discussion, you’ll need to sign up. Luckily, Twitch accounts are free so long as you’re willing to put up with a few advertisements. If you want it ad-free, it’ll cost you $8.99 a month. Appart from the website itself, Twitch can be accessed by Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners through an app on their respective devices. There’s also has an app for iOS and Android, but both have a history of complaints.
How To Live Stream The Battlefield V Reveal On Mixer
EA is also streaming the reveal on Mixer, one of Twitch’s direct competitors. A product of Microsoft, Mixer is exclusive to Xbox One, PC and an app for iOS and Android. This might make it a cleaner stream for some users. It comes preprogrammed into Xbox One and Windows 10, but using it that way would mean you’d have to download Windows 10. It might be worth it though as Mixer has been known to do free giveaways during industry event live streams such as this one. There’s no official Mixer app for PlayStation users, but it can be accessed through the console’s browser.
The reveal is also being shown on Battlefield‘s official site, though it appears to just be the YouTube stream without the chat box.
