Abigail HIll is the reigning Miss Washington USA 2018 and set to compete in the upcoming Miss USA pageant in May. The 20-year-old Enumclaw native succeeded 2017 winner Alex Carlson-Helo, who was previously Miss Washington Teen USA 2012. Hill will be searching for Miss Washington USA’s first Top 15 finish since Tara McCormick in 2004. The only Miss Washington USA to win the Miss USA crown was Dorothy Anstett in 1968.
Hill has long dreamed of competing in the Miss USA pageant, saying it was a goal since the age of 9.
From her official Miss USA bio:
During her growth in pageantry, she has created her own platform called #W82TXT, reaching untold numbers of viewers and gathering over 1,000 signed pledges to stop texting while driving. Alongside of this platform, Hill donates her time and efforts to various disaster-relief organizations, specifically those targeting families with children, as she firmly believes that today’s youth are the future.

Miss USA takes place Monday, May 21 at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. The pageant will air live on FOX. The Miss Universe pageant will take place at a yet-to-be-determined date.
