Gwyneth Paltrow is continuing her role as Pepper Potts, the love interest of Iron Man in the upcoming mega film Avengers: Infinity War, which is released on April 27th. She has played the role of Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2008. During her appearance on the red carpet for the film she was spotted with a massive engagement ring on her finger. The lucky guy is Brad Falchuk, who is a writer, director, and producer. Falchuk is best known for his work as a co-creator of Glee and American Horror Story.
Paltrow has accomplished much over her acting career. She broke into the acting scene with her roles in Seven, Emma, and A Perfect Murder. Paltrow’s big break occurred when she gained worldwide fame for her role as Viola de Lesseps in Shakespeare In Love (1998). For her part in the movie, she was awarded the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. She garnered a Golden Globe nomination for her work on the movie Proof (2005). Other well-known movies Paltrow has appeared in include, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Shallow Hal, and The Royal Tenenbaums.
The big screen is not the only place Paltrow has been successful. She also won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her five-episode role on the hit tv show Glee. Paltrow has been the face of the cosmetic company Estée Lauder since 2005 as well as being the spokesperson for fashion brand Coach.
On top of her acting career, she opened her own “lifestyle company” named Goop. The company launched in 2008 as a newsletter. The goal of Goop is to provide its readers with new age advice on a variety of issues affecting daily lives. The slogan for Paltrow’s company is “Nourish the Inner Aspects”. Since its inception, the company has expanded to an e-commerce site working with fashion brands and launching a magazine.
