Millennium Middle School in Tamarac, Florida is on lockdown as authorities search for a possible armed suspect in or nearby the school.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Millennium Middle School is currently on lockdown. Furthermore, Sunrise Police tweeted that schools in the area of Commercial Boulevard and Northwest 94th Avenue are also on lockdown as a result of the potentially armed person.
Authorities also warned that the suspect spotted in or near the school may be armed. While they are currently investigating, they have not said whether the threat is credible or not.
The lockdowns were initiated after police received a call about a “suspicious person.” The Broward Sheriff’s Office is currently on the scene investigating.
