Cypress College in Southern California has been closed today due to a threat made against the school. According to reports, school officials told students and faculty to stay off of campus until told otherwise.
Marc Posner, the school’s communications director, said the threat was sent through email and text. Furthermore, the nature of the threats and the identity of the suspect were not immediately released.
At this time, the school is working directly with the Cypress Police Department as they conduct their investigation. School officials said they will notify students and staff when it is safe to return to campus.
