Everyone remain calm.
On March 1st, Marvel Studios announced on Twitter that they had decided to move up the release date of Avengers: Infinity War from May 4th to April 27th, 2018. It is, without a doubt, going to be one of the highest earning movies of the year and possibly all time, given the fact that this movie is part one of the entire culmination of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.
Avengers: Infinity War is one of the final two movies of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, which is what the studio has been building towards since the first Iron Man film was released all the way back in 2008. It will be followed up by another Avengers film that, as of now, is untitled. Marvel has said that the title of the next movie is a spoiler for Infinity War and has decided to wait on announcing its name.

Sure, it was absolutely a pre-planned move to bump up the release date, but this was certainly a fun, eye-catching way to make the official announcement that we’d get the chance to see our favorite superheroes take on the evil Thanos a week earlier.
Avengers: Infinity War packs one of the most extensive casts of A-listers ever assembled, starring the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Mark Ruffalo, and many, many more. Oh, and Chadwick Boseman, who has a little movie called Black Panther out right now that’s currently destroying box-office records left and right, will also be returning for this movie.
