Halsey (which is an anagram for Ashley — who knew!) is a 23-year-old singer and songwriter who was born in New Jersey.
Halsey achieved widespread success with the release of The Chainsmokers 2016 “Closer”. The song topped the charts all over the world, becoming arguably the most popular song of the year .
She released her second studio album, “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom”, in 2017, which consisted of more “radio-friendly” music than prior albums. “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom” became Halsey’s first album to top the US Billboard 200.
In 2017, Halsey began dating Oakland rapper G-Eazy, making her even more of a famous pop culture figure. Together, the two have released the single “Him & I”, which appeared on G-Eazy’s 2017 album “The Beautiful & Damned”.
