Hannibal Buress is not a comedian I enjoy, but definitely a comedian I respect.
What that means is, while I don’t necessarily laugh out loud from his material, I “get” what he’s going for and can appreciate the commitment to his style. His sarcastic attitude and borderline disregard for the audience’s opinion make Buress both a tough comedian to enjoy but one to respect none the less.
And like most comedian’s stand up personas, Buress’ is very much a product of his true personality, which he puts on full display as he calls arresting officers “goofy as f*ck”, lining right up with who he is on stage.
On Saturday night in Miami, Burress was arrested on a disorderly intoxication charge after getting into an argument with Miami police. Burress, 34, was arrested around 10:30 PM on Saturday and was booked into Miami-Dade jail at 1:57AM on Sunday, December 10. He posted bail of $500 shortly before 6AM and was released.
But that’s not why we’re here — we’re here because we want to hear all the hilarious shit he drunkenly said to the cops, such as “You know y’all goofy as f**k. You don’t have probable cause for anything and you’re hella stupid right now.”
