College Football Playoff Rankings 2017: Week 13 Must-See Team Ranks

Aside from head-scratching switch of Miami (now ranked second) and Clemson (now ranked third), the Playoff rankings are not particularly surprising. With the absence of notable upsets this weekend, the top 12 remains relatively intact, allowing pundits and fans to debate some of the lower rankings this week. Washington and Washington State each moved up a spot in the rankings to set up what should be a tremendously competitive Apple Cup contest while the underrated UCF Knights remain the 15th ranked program in the country despite a blemishless record

College Football Playoff Rankings 2017: Week 13

Amongst the newest additions to the Playoff rankings this week is the young but highly talented Virginia Tech as Hokies as well as the South Carolina Gamecocks, who have won five out of their last six games. The only major change in the rankings was the precipitous drop of the Oklahoma State Cowboys from 13th to 19th after losing to a resilient albeit inferior opponent in Kansas State.

After receiving a slight albeit controversial bump by the committee from third to second in the country, the Hurricanes are riding the wave of their opportunistic defense to an eventual showdown with Clemson in the ACC Championship. Arguably the most exciting conference championship game, the ACC grudge between the two of the best programs in the country will certainly make the Playoff Committees final decision particularly difficult.
