Melissa Benoist is a 29-year-old actress, who stars in the CBS/CW superhero drama series Supergirl. She rose to fame on the FOX musical comedy-drama series Glee, playing the role of Marley Rose, from 2012-2014. Benoist has also appeared on programs, such as Homeland and The Good Wife.
Benoist was born on October 4, 1988, in Littleton, Colorado. She received with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in theater from the Marymount Manhattan College in 2011.
She’s appeared in her first play back in 2000, playing Brigitta von Trapp on the stage production of The Sound of Music. She’s appeared in a number of plays since, including A Month In The Country, Footloose, Evita, and A Chorus Line.
Benoist has also appeared in a number of films, including Juvenile, Whiplash, Tennessee, and much more.
