Dropping by surprise this morning, the first official trailer for the upcoming Black Panther movie dropped and fans everywhere are freaking out! Releasing in February 2018, Black Panther sets to take moviegoers on a journey for the first time to the home country of the Black Panther, Wakanda.
The movie’s official synopsis reads:
“Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) springs into action when an old enemy threatens the fate of his nation and the world.”

Following the events of Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther will follow the newly crowned king of Wakanda as a former foe returns to threaten his home of Wakanda and the world at large. For the first time ever, audiences will get to see the hidden world of Wakanda. Previously mentioned in other Marvel films, the reclusive African country is home to some of the world’s greatest technological creations and one of the world’s most powerful heroes, the Black Panther.
Like previous Marvel films, this film is using cutting edge visual effects to help bring this technologically advanced world to life. Blending traditional African styles and a cyberpunk visual aesthetic, Black Panther already looks to be Marvel’s most visually stunning movie yet!

The Black Panther movie is directed by Ryan Coogler and is written by Coogler and Joe Robert Cole. It will be the eighteenth movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the release of Thor: Ragnarok.
The movie will be released by Marvel Studios while Disney handles distributing. Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forrest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
Black Panther releases in theaters February 9th, 2018.
