Fairfax County Police are evacuating an office building in the 8100 block of Gatehouse Road after reports of a shooting. It appears there’s no longer a threat.
Fairfax police now say that one person has died from the incident. No other injuries or fatalities have been confirmed at this time.
Reports are indicating that there is a pre-school in the building where the shooting took place.

Police say there are reports of a shooting in the 8100 block of Gatehouse Road, which is not far from the Mosaic District. Dispatch reports indicate it is at 8111 Gatehouse Road, which is the address of Falls Church Merrifield Preschool.
A family member of a first responder says via Twitter multiple people have been shot. First responders are arriving on scene to treat the injured. He says the shooter was inside the school building with his wife and kids, and the SWAT team was going in.
