Quantasia Sharpton, one of three alleged victims of Usher, is the first person to come forward publicly and obtain a lawyer to go after Usher. Sharpton claims that Usher, born Usher Raymond, never told her that he had herpes before the pair had in sexual intercourse in 2015.
Sharpton’s attorney, Lisa Bloom, first announced that he will be filing a lawsuit on behalf of three people. Furthermore, Bloom said that the other two clients would remain nameless in the interest of privacy.
Sharpton, a 21-year-old who is also a mother of three, claims that her and Usher had sex following a concert of his. Sharpton claims she was selected from the crowd to go backstage before the show and meet Usher due to the birthday crown she was wearing. She says that later that night a security guard asked for her number because Usher was “interested” in her.

After the show, she says she got a call from a blocked number and it was Usher, asking her what hotel she was staying in and the room number. About an hour later, Sharpton says Usher arrived at her hotel and they had ‘sexual contact’. But after he left, she ‘never heard from him again’.
Sharpton said she was shocked last month to learn that Usher possibly has herpes. When Sharpton read about that case, she contacted high-profile attorney Lisa Bloom to see what her legal options were, even though she tested negative for the virus when she had a child last year.
While Sharpton doesn’t have the disease, at least one of the three clients that Bloom is representing say they caught the disease, and blame Usher for it. One of her clients is a man who said he had oral sex with the star with no warning about his STD. Sharpton says if she had known that Usher had herpes, she ‘would have never consented’ to sex with him.
However, according to TMZ, Usher has been telling his close circle that he did not sleep with Sharpton because she is not his type, via TMZ:

Our sources say Usher told them he may have pulled her up onstage … he doesn’t remember, but he absolutely didn’t hook up with her. As for why he may have picked Sharpton out of the crowd and brought her onstage, the sources say Usher “looks to bring a diverse group of people up onstage, not just supermodels.”
One source says he believes it’s “an esteem booster” to choose various people Usher sees in the audience and single them out.
The lawsuit, which was filed by Bloom in California on Monday, August 7, says that even if Usher doesn’t have herpes, his conduct has still caused “severe emotional distress since he has allowed them to worry that he has exposed them to the virus.”
Furthermore, on Tuesday, August 8, New York Marine and General Insurance Company filed documents claiming they will not pay for the $20 million herpes lawsuit against Usher filed by a Jane Doe in Georgia.
However, one week prior to Sharpton’s public announcement, she uploaded a Facebook status reading “I need some money.” Sharpton’s attorney was forced to defend Sharpton’s Facebook post, claiming it had nothing to do with the lawsuit.
