Former Ohio Teacher Accused Of Having Sexual Relationship With Student

Brooke Rosendale, a 26-year-old former Ohio teacher, has been charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old male student on multiple occasions.

On Tuesday, June 27, a Hancock County grand jury indicted Rosendale, 26, on three third-degree felony counts of sexual battery.

According to court records, Rosendale had inappropriate relations with the teenage boy between January 4 and February 3 of 2017. At the time of the relationship, Rosendal was a fifth-grade intervention specialist and junior high girls’ volleyball and basketball coach.

She resigned from her position as an educator for Riverdale Local Schools on March 27

Rosendale, 26, of Bloomdale, is charged with three counts of sexual battery, all third-degree felonies for offenses that occurred with a 13-year-old student between Jan. 4 and Feb. 3, according to court records.

She was indicted Tuesday by a Hancock County grand jury. It was not immediately known when Ms. Rosendale, who is no longer listed as a Riverdale employee, left her position.

Ms. Rosendale was approved for a one-year contract for the 2016-2017 school year in March 2016, according to Riverdale Local School District Board of Education meeting minutes.

According to the Toledo Blade, Rosendal is the third teacher in the northwest Ohio area to be accused of having inappropriate relations with students.
