Does getting joy out of the plight of Fyre Festival-goers make me a monster? Maybe. Actually, probably.

But that’s not the real question. No, the real question is, do I give a SHIT that enjoying the plight of Fyre Festival-goers makes me evil? And the answer is … no. I’m going to hate-watch every second of every Fyre Festival video that comes out, and I’m going to maniacally laugh at every single one. Nothing like seeing a bunch of overprivileged millennials getting fleeced by a richer millennial. Welcome to the real world, folks: sometimes you’re gonna get screwed.

That said, I do feel somewhat bad for these kids, given the fact that they were essentially stranded in the Bahamas for 24 hours without any guidance.

Since the chaos of the festival has died down, Variety reports that Ja Rule and the organizers have been hit with a $100 million class-action lawsuit. In the suit, lawyer Mark Geragos accuses Fyre Festival of fraud, breach of contract, breach of covenant of good faith and negligent misrepresentation. Geragos also claims that the panic that the lack of planning caused endangered the well-being of those in attendance.

“Fyre Festival’s lack of adequate food, water, shelter, and medical care created a dangerous and panicked situation among attendees — suddenly finding themselves stranded on a remote island without basic provisions — that was closer to ‘The Hunger Games’ or ‘Lord of the Flies’ than Coachella,” Geragos said.
