Week 6, College Football Picks 2017: Spread & Predictions

$

As another week of college football goes into the book, fans are rewarded with a moment of clarity as several of the top-ranked teams won convincingly in week 5. However, as fans and pundits know all to well, a relatively quiet weekend usually results in a successive weekend that completely obliterates everything you thought you knew about the college football elite. Yes, Clemson, Alabama, Penn St. and Georgia looked every bit like the worthy candidates to make the College Football Playoff. Yet, amidst these perceived top-tier programs is a sleeping giant that is waiting to emerge and knock off one of these highly praised kings of college football. Could the Cinderella schools take center stage this weekend? Let’s find out.

1. Louisville Cardinals (17) vs. NC State Wolfpack (24)

Instagram Photo

Initially, this game could be viewed as a paltry ACC matchup that will adequately appease college football fans until the weekend slate of games starts. However, this contest offers a unique blend of offense and defense, with the two opposing quarterbacks being proficient in very different ways. For junior quarterback Ryan Finley, it’s all about working within the pocket and making high percentage throws to open receivers. Signal caller Lamar Jackson could not be any more different as his success is predicated on working outside of the pocket to complete a big throw and/or utilizing his athleticism to run downfield. While both defenses are solid, it’s hard to imagine either one making a huge impact in this affair. Ultimately, Jackson’s ability to garner massive yardage chunks with fewer plays will be the deciding factor in this overlooked matchup.

Final Score: Cardinals 38 Wolfpack 34 Spread: Louisville -3.5

2. Georgia Bulldogs (5) vs. Vanderbilt Commodores

Instagram Photo

Although many fans consider an entertaining game as one that is especially close from start to finish, there are a few exceptions that are worth watching just to get a look at a superior program on the rise. This is that game. While Vanderbilt held its own against the Florida Gators on the road through three-quarters, the once anointed “best defense in the country” (yes, shamefully by me at one point) looked lost as they gave up 38 points on the road. In particular, it was the Commodores inability to stop the run that prevented them from ever having a chance. Against the Bulldogs, the defense of the Commodores will be worn out much quicker and considering how inconsistent their offense has looked it won’t be long until Georgia goes on a tear for another blowout victory.

Final Score: Bulldogs 45 Commodores 17 Spread: UGA -17

3. Wake Forest Demon Deacons vs. Clemson Tigers (2)

Instagram Photo

One of these days, the Clemson Tigers will be seriously challenged for the ACC crown. While the Demon Deacons are well poised and tough-minded on defense, they will not be the team to humble the Tigers. While Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant has looked fairly shaky against great defenses if anything was evident in the Tigers impressive win against Virigian Tech it was that he doesn’t have to play perfectly for his team to win. The Tigers have arguably the best defense in the country and their offense is potent enough to score big early while leaving offensively impotent teams in the dust. The Demon Deacons will come out angry and hungry at the start, but the firepower that Tigers have on both sides of the ball will help them win commandingly in the end.

Final Score: Demon Deacons 23 Tigers 39 Spread: Clemson -21.5

4. LSU Tigers vs. Florida Gators (21)

Instagram Photo

Normally an exciting affair with both teams relying on their defenses and running attacks to violently earn a victory, this years meeting could be decidedly underwhelming by comparison. After an embarrassing loss at home to Troy, the Tigers are most likely spending the majority of this week trying figure out their identity while attempting to prepare for a Florida team that has found the answer to their offensive woes in a dynamic and physical running game. With that being said, LSU still has a respectable defense and Florida is still shaky at the quarterback position with Luke Del Rio out for the season with a broken collarbone. The youth and fury of the Tiger defense will keep them in this game throughout the first three-quarters, but Florida has the advantage at home and will eventually wear down an undisciplined Tigers team.

Final Score: Tigers 20 Gators 30 Spread: Florida -3.5

5. West Virginia Mountaineers (23) vs. TCU Horned Frogs (8)

Instagram Photo

If there are two teams that do not get nearly enough praise in the Big 12 it’s the Mountaineers and Horned Frogs. After a close loss to Virginia Tech in week 1, the Mountaineers have worked out some of the kinks on offense and junior quarterback Will Grier has flourished under Dana Holgorsen’s tutelage and has shined with confidence when asked to throw downfield (9.54 yards per pass attempt, 65.3 CMP%). The Horned Frogs have looked like one of the best teams in college football since the start of the season and proved their greatness when they dispatched the Oklahoma State Cowboys on the road. Senior quarterback Kenny Hill has looked like a veteran by minimizing the careless turnovers that he was prone to giving up last year. However, it will be the legs of sophomore running back Darius Anderson that will eventually secure the Horned Frogs another impressive victory against a competitive Big 12 opponent.

Final Score: Mountaineers 29 Horned Frogs 36 Spread: TCU -14

6. Maryland Terrapins vs. Ohio State Buckeyes (10)

Instagram Photo

Before the season began, Maryland was the favorite team to hate in the Big 10 and rightfully so. The Terrapins have not won more than seven games since 2010, which was also the last time they won a bowl game. However, this Terrapin team appears to have higher aspirations as they won a shootout against the Longhorns in week 1 and took care of business against conference opponent Minnesota in week 5. However, the Terrapins may be overmatched against a Buckeyes team that is superb on both offense and defense. While it’s nice to see the Terrapins be competitive for a change and their running game is legitimate, they will see their hot start come to an end this week.

Final Score: Terrapins 23 Buckeyes 37 Spread: Ohio State -31.5

7. Alabama Crimson Tide (1) vs. Texas A&M Aggies

Instagram Photo

Here we are again. Another contest where the Crimson Tide is all but certain to win as they skip merrily with glee to the next contest. This is in no way a shot at an Aggies team that has looked great since giving up a monster lead to the Bruins in week 1. It’s just that the Crimson Tide are so effective on both sides of the ball that the opponents they have faced thus far just lack the firepower to even come close to giving them a decent scare. While I believe Aggies running back Trayveon Williams is a great rusher and could eventually become one of the premier backs in college football next year, it’s not even remotely enough to stop the roll of the Tide.

Final Score: Crimson Tide 46 Aggies 26 Spread: Alabama -26.5

8. Michigan State Spartans vs. Michigan Wolverines (7)

Instagram Photo

One of the biggest and most beloved rivalries by college football fans, the Spartans and the Wolverines hatred for each other is almost always matched by their gritty play on the field. Even more exciting is the fact that these teams are both built to win with their defenses while relying on their solid running games to score for them on offense. Although the Wolverines will be without starting quarterback Wilton Speight for multiple weeks due to an undisclosed injury, I don’t believe this will drastically affect the outcome. The Wolverines will still need to lean on running back Ty Isaac and their physical front seven to win this pivotal matchup. However, given that the Spartans defense is nearly on par with their arch-rivals while having a much more dynamic offense led by sophomore dual-threat quarterback Brian Lewerke, I believe the Spartans will win another classic on the road.

Final Score: Spartans 27 Wolverines 26 Spread: Michigan -13.5

9. Washington State Cougars (11) vs. Oregon Ducks

Instagram Photo

After securing a hard-fought victory over USC, the confident Cougars are ready to take their offensive show on the road to take on the best scoring offense in college football (49.6 PPG for Oregon). Senior running back Royce Freeman has been a godsend for the Ducks as he can run swiftly for massive yardage (5.7 yards per rush attempt) while being a reliable receiver out of the backfield (14.2 yards per reception). However, the Ducks have not faced a high-flying passing attack like that of the Cougars. On top of that, the Cougars are a very good defensive team that bends but does not always break and can dash Oregon’s hopes of an upset by stifling the production of Freeman. Even if they fail to do the latter consistently, Quarterback Luke Falk is more than capable of leading his team to another wildly entertaining shootout victory.

Final Score: Cougars 40 Ducks 33 Spread: Oregon -1.5

10. Stanford Cardinal vs. Utah Utes (20)

Instagram Photo

The Pac-12 nightcap of the week features two relatively unimaginative teams that are actually fiercely competitive. The Cardinal possess one of the most explosive rushers in Bryce Love (11.1 yards per rush, eight touchdowns, and 1088 rushing yards) but lack a competent passing game and defense to be consistently competitive every week. The Utes have one of the most underrated defenses in college football and sophomore quarterback Tyler Huntley has looked sharp as the signal caller for the Utes. While I admire what the Cardinal have in their fearless running back, the Utes are much more well-balanced and will do enough on the offensive side of the football to win this matchup.

Final Score: Cardinal 29 Utes 34 Spread: Stanford -6.0

Marilyn Manson Net Worth 2017: How Much Is Marilyn Manson Worth Now?

(Instagram/@MarilynManson)

Marilyn Manson has been the dark prince of the metal scene for some time now, having led a storied career in music for close to three decades now. Manson started his musical career in 1989 as a college student pursuing a degree in journalism, working for a local publication that enabled him to meet some major players in the alternative scene. That same year, Manson connected with guitarist Scott Putesky and formed the band Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids.

Since those humble beginnings, Manson has risen to the center of the Metal/Gothic Rock scene and become a bastion of alternative subculture both in America and abroad. The multi-platinum artist is slated to release his 10th studio album, Heaven Upside Down, later this month and has been touring to promote the album since July.

Marilyn Manson’s Net Worth as of 2017: $25 million

Let’s break down the journey Manson took to get to this fortune.

1989-1992

Instagram Photo

Before he came to be known as Marilyn Manson he was Brian Hugh Warner, an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in journalism at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Warner started his musical career writing for the lifestyle magazine 25th Parallel, a job that gave him the opportunity to connect with artists like My Life With the Thrill Kill Cult and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails- both acts that Marilyn Manson would later be compared to on a global scale.

In December of 1989, Warner met guitarist Scott Putesky and the two formed the band Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids along with bassist Brian Tutunick. Warner, Putesky, and Tutunick took on the stage names Marilyn Manson, Daisy Berkowitz and Olvia Newton Bundy respectively and recorded their first demo in 1990. The band enjoyed some local success thanks to support from a local radio DJ, and after some changes to the band’s roster, their name was officially shortened to Marilyn Manson in 1992.

1993-1995

Instagram Photo

In the summer of 1993, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails established his own record label Nothing Records. Reznor extended both a contract deal and touring spot alongside Nine Inch Nails to Marilyn Manson, and the band accepted both offers. During this time, the band put together their debut studio album Portrait of An American Family as well as an hour-long EP titled Smells Like Children, from which came their first iconic hit, a cover of the Eurhthmyic’s “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)”.

1996-2002

Instagram Photo

Over the course of the next six years, Marilyn Manson put out a concept album trilogy that they referred to as a triptych, where the contents of each album told a dedicated and specific story through the songs. These albums were Antichrist Superstar in 1996, Mechanical Animals in 1998, and Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death) in 2000. As the band’s music was gaining notoriety, the group found themselves brought before congressional hearings to determine if the violent nature of their lyrics were having an adverse effect on the youth of America. It was also during this period that the band came under fire for their associations to the Columbine High School Massacre, as the perpetrators of that atrocity cited Marilyn Manson as a favorite band of theirs.

2003-2009

Instagram Photo

Throughout the early to late 2000s, the group put out their 5th, 6th, and 7th studio albums. The first of these three albums, The Golden Age of Grotesque (2003), was the last major album released under the label Nothing Records, as the studio dissolved after legal disputes between Reznor and his former business partner John Malm. The remaining albums Eat Me, Drink Me (2007) and The High End of Low (2009) were released through Nothing Records’ parent company Interscope Records. It was also during this period that Manson himself began to branch out in his artistic endeavors, from directing a surrealist short film called Doppelherz to taking on small roles in films as well as releasing art installations to coincide with album release parties. The High End of Low was the last album to be released with Interscope, as Manson had a very public falling out with the label’s then-CEO Jimmy Iovine.

2010-Present

Instagram Photo

After splitting from Interscope, Manson proclaimed that he had regained a lot of the creative freedom he had felt restrained whilst working under Interscope. In late 2010, the band signed a joint-venture deal with the label Cooking Vinyl to release their 8th studio album, Born Villain. In addition to the album, Manson commissioned actor Shia Lebeouf to create a surrealist short film with the same name.

Following the success of Born Villain, Marilyn Manson came back again in a very big way with 2015’s The Pale Emperor. Again released on the label Cooking Vinyl, the album debuted in January 2015 and was dedicated to Manson’s mother who had passed away in 2014 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The record had a few high-charting singles, and the album itself debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 list, with sales of 51,000 copies in its first week, the highest number of first-week sales since 2007’s Eat Me, Drink Me.

Following the release of that album, Marilyn Manson went on a lengthy tour, called The Hell Not Hallelujah Tour, while also collaborating on projects with David Bowie and The Smashing Pumpkins. Since the culmination of that tour, the group has been working on their next major studio release, called Heaven Upside Down, currently slated for an October 6, 2017 release. In anticipation of this release, the band has been touring to promote it, though an incident on September 30, 2017 wherein a stage prop collapsed on Manson has forced the band to reschedule some of their planned tour dates.

It’s certainly been a long and winding road for Marilyn Manson, but one that has obviously been well worth it. You don’t become the crown prince of Metal/Goth Rock without some sacrifices along the way, and Manson is no stranger to that idea. Here’s to a speedy recovery and an amazing next album.

Tom Petty, American musician, singer and songwriter, has died at the age of 66. The cause of death was cardiac arrest. Petty was taken to the hospital late Sunday night after he was found unconscious and not breathing.

He was born in Gainesville, Florida to Earl and Katherine Petty. At 17, Petty dropped out of high school and joined the band Mudcrutch. He became interested in Rock and Roll at the age of 10 after meeting Elvis Presley.

Petty had two wives and two daughters in his lifetime.

Their marriage lasted 22 years, and they have two daughters together, Adria and Kimberly Violette Petty.

Benyo began suffering from mental health issues, leading to an abusive relationship between the two. They divorced in 1996.

Petty married his second wife, Dana York, in 2001.

Petty became addicted to heroin. He tried to hide it from his new love, Dana York. However, York’s father was also an addict, so she knew about the struggle. “He beat me so bad that I was covered in raised welts, from my head to my toes,” Petty recalled. “I mean, you can’t imagine someone hitting a child like that. Five years old. I remember it so well. My mother and my grandmother laid me in my bed, stripped me, and they took cotton and alcohol, cleaning these big welts all over my body.”

Jimmy Kimmel, Las Vegas Native, Gives Tearful Opening Monologue About Gun Laws

Following the deadliest shooting in American history that left 58 dead and over 500 injured, late-night hosts across the country did their best to give their respectful opinion on the matter, and of course, Jimmy Kimmel knocked it out of the park.

Ever since Jimmy Kimmel’s health scare iwith his newborn son, using his ‘everyman’ personality, he has become something of a voice of reason in the late night sphere.

Calling out the hypocritical Senators who have shared their “thoughts and prayers” with the victims, Kimmel delved into which supposed “leaders” have had a chance to rectify our gun laws in the past, but have chosen not to, presumably in favor of the gun lobby.

It’s hard to disagree with Kimmel at this point: its clearly a matter of common sense as to what our gun laws should be, yet those in charge refuse to take the necessary steps to do so.

USC Professor Tells Students There’s An Active Shooter, Causes Campus-Wide Chaos

LAPD responded to reports of an active shooter yesterday despite there not being one. Now, it is being reported that a teacher “having an episode” caused the panic by telling her students there was an active shooter. Los Angeles Police Department Deputy Chief Phillip Tingirides said the unidentified professor suffered “some sort of an episode”.

Tingirides said the professor, who has not been identified, told her students to lock the doors and get on the floor. Then, she began yelling, “active shooter”, causing campus-wide panic.

Worried students began to alert friends and authorities, telling them there was an active shooter on campus. Los Angeles police responded to the campus around 12:17 PM in the 3500 block of University Avenue. A shelter in place order was issued, and after a “systematic search” and investigation, Los Angeles authorities concluded that there was no shooting on campus and that the community was safe.

via Washington Post:

The alert frightened many, coming the day after the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history. At least 59 people were killed and more than 500 injured at a concert Sunday night in Las Vegas.

Police responded in force to the false alarm at USC. An alert was sent out minutes after a 911 call, warning people to shelter in place. The Daily Trojan, the campus newspaper, reported a SWAT team searched Fertitta Hall at the USC Marshall School of Business while helicopters hovered overhead. The paper quoted a student, Remy Porsella, who said he heard screaming and saw hundreds of people running out the doors of Fertitta Hall. “It was full panic,” Porsella told the Daily Trojan.

Officer Irma Mota with the Los Angeles Police Department said there was a report of a shooting in a building at about 12:20 p.m. local time. But officials found no evidence of any threat. Within an hour or so, they were able to reassure the campus community.

Tingirides, who does not believe this was some kind of test or drill, said the professor was in the custody of the LAPD. The faculty member is also undergoing a mental health evaluation.

Every Time A Mass Shooting Happens, The Onion Publishes The Same Story

The Onion

Merely altering the details to reflect the specifics of what happened, satirical news site The Onion has published the same exact mass shooting story five times since 2014.

Titled “‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens”, the dark, yet poignant article is lightly edited to detail the specific locations and tragic death tolls, yet remains largely identical throughout.

Originally ran back in May 2014 after a shooting at the University of California at Santa Barbara, the article has been republished 4 times since (5 total) — following tragic events such as the shooting at UCSB, Charleston, Oregon, San Bernadino, and now Las Vegas.

The original article reads as:

“In the days following a violent rampage in southern California in which a lone attacker killed seven individuals, including himself, and seriously injured over a dozen others, citizens living in the only country where this kind of mass killing routinely occurs reportedly concluded Tuesday that there was no way to prevent the massacre from taking place. “This was a terrible tragedy, but sometimes these things just happen and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop them,” said North Carolina resident Samuel Wipper, echoing sentiments expressed by tens of millions of individuals who reside in a nation where over half of the world’s deadliest mass shootings have occurred in the past 50 years and whose citizens are 20 times more likely to die of gun violence than those of other developed nations. “It’s a shame, but what can we do? There really wasn’t anything that was going to keep this guy from snapping and killing a lot of people if that’s what he really wanted.” At press time, residents of the only economically advanced nation in the world where roughly two mass shootings have occurred every month for the past five years were referring to themselves and their situation as “helpless.”

The latest version ran after the senseless Las Vegas shooting that left 58 dead was more of the same:

“In the hours following a violent rampage in Las Vegas in which a lone attacker killed more than 50 individuals and seriously injured 400 others, citizens living in the only country where this kind of mass killing routinely occurs reportedly concluded Monday that there was no way to prevent the massacre from taking place. “This was a terrible tragedy, but sometimes these things just happen and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop them,” said Iowa resident Kyle Rimmels, echoing sentiments expressed by tens of millions of individuals who reside in a nation where over half of the world’s deadliest mass shootings have occurred in the past 50 years and whose citizens are 20 times more likely to die of gun violence than those of other developed nations. “It’s a shame, but what can we do? There really wasn’t anything that was going to keep these individuals from snapping and killing a lot of people if that’s what they really wanted.” At press time, residents of the only economically advanced nation in the world where roughly two mass shootings have occurred every month for the past eight years were referring to themselves and their situation as “helpless.”

While bleak, in typical Onion fashion, it is a remarkably succinct way of describing the hypocrisy that is our nation’s gun laws. The fact of the matter is that American’s gun laws and the death statistics they result in are unlike any other advanced country on Earth, and until the people we put in charge realize that and make tangible change, we’re going to be reading the same heartbreaking headlines, over, and over, and over again, and unfortunately, they won’t be satirical.

GoFundMe

Not even 48 hours after the tragic shooting in Las Vegas, humanity has rallied together and have raised over 3.5 million dollars for the victims of this senseless tragedy.

A GoFundMe page, created by Steve Sisolak, a Clark County Commission Chair from Las Vegas, has raised 3.6 of its 4 million dollar goal in just over a day.

With donations made by approximately 45,000 different donors — including a $50,000 donation from the Oakland (soon-to-be Las Vegas) Raiders — the response to the Las Vegas shooting has shown that when push comes to shove, Americans have an unrivaled ability to band together in the face of darkness.

The money raised by the GoFundMe will go straight to the victims and families of the attack.

via GoFundMe:

I’m Steve Sisolak, Clark County Commission Chair from Las Vegas. We are raising funds to assist the victims of the tragic Las Vegas shooting. I spent last night with Sheriff Lombardo at Clark County’s only level-one trauma center. Funds will be used to provide relief and financial support to the victims and families of the horrific Las Vegas mass shooting.

Other large donations are from businessman Stephen Cloobeck, who donated $350,000, and the NFL Foundation, which pitched in another $50,000.

Based On This Image, It Appears We Have Been SERIOUSLY Sleeping On ‘Undisputed’

Skip Bayless is the sports journalist equivalent of what happens when purgatory meets a black hole.

Thousands of years ago and thousands of years from now, across all planes of time and space, Skip Bayless is somewhere arguing something preposterous like Tony Romo is more clutch than Tom Brady or RGII could have been better than Russell Wilson with better coaching or that Dwayne Wade is the better generational talent than LeBron James. You know, Skip Bayless shit.

And because of Skip Bayless and his usual aforementioned shit, I have never tuned into a second of FS1’s TWO AND A HALF HOUR LONG sports debate show Undisputed.  And I’m starting to think that may be a huge mistake.

It’s been no secret that Undisputed has struggled for viewers thus far, routinely getting beaten in the ratings by various syndicated re-runs and children’s cartoons. Now, while there’s no word on whether Fox Sports plans on pulling the plug (doubtful, considering how much they’re paying Bayless), based on the below clip, it appears that the producers are taking an “anything goes”/”please god go viral” approach. And if that’s the case, we are HERE for it, because the only thing better than an off-the-rails Skip Bayless, is an off-the-rails Shannon Sharpe.

And if Shannon and Skip going berserk isn’t enough to peak your interest, moderator Joy Taylor is also a 10/10, so that certainly helps.

Iraq Vet Steals Truck To Transport Dozens To Hospital During Vegas Shooting

Taylor Winston, an Iraq war veteran, tole a truck to rescue dozens of people during the tragic Las Vegas shooting.

Winston, 29, was close to the stage at the Route 91 Harvest festival, Sunday, when 64-year-old Stephen Paddock open-fired from his Mandalay Bay hotel room window. Winston, a marine who served in the Iraqi war, and his girlfriend Jenn Lewis immediately sprung into action.

As the gunshots began, the Iraq veteran helped people scale the perimeter fence, before ultimately tearing down the fence entirely to help people escape. Winton called the scene a “mini war-zone” except they “couldn’t fight back”.

“The shots got louder and louder, closer to us and saw people getting hit, it was like we could be hit at any second,” Winston said to CBS News. “Once we got to the fence, I helped throw a bunch of people over, and got myself over. “

After quickly assessing the damage and realizing there was a limited number of ambulances, the former Marine sergeant took it upon himself to transport victims to the hospital. Winston and Lewis found an unattended truck near the venue with keys still inside and used it to transport the wounded to a nearby hospital.

via The Daily Beast:

“Jenn and I luckily found a truck with keys in it and started transporting priority victims to the hospital and made a couple trips and tried to help out the best we could until more ambulances could arrive,” Winston said.

A designer for the Country Rebel social network, Winston has been to country music festivals before and said he figured one or two work trucks would still have the keys inside. “So I just crossed my fingers and it turned out to work out,” Winston said.

In two trips, Winston and Lewis said they transported about two dozen people to the hospital. Victims were piled into the back seat and truck bed. Winston told people to apply pressure to the wounds, as he sped to Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center, wanting to get people there “before they bled out.”

Winston, who joined the Marines at age 17, served two tours in Iraq before being honorably discharged as a sergeant in 2011. He returned the keys to the owner of the truck Monday night.

Travis Kelce Has Himself Quite The Girlfriend In Kayla Nicole

Travis Kelce is currently the best tight end in the league. Sorry to all the New England fans out there, but its just the truth: even with a healthy Gronk, right now, Travis Kelce is the best.

After having a career year last season where he caught 85 passes for over 1,000 yards, Kelce has helped lead the Chiefs to the only undefeated record in the league this season with 21 catches for 255 yards and a touchdown during the first four games.

But as much as Kelce is dominating on the field, he’s crushing it off the field, too, because not only is Kelce chilling on a five-year, $46 million deal, but he’s also bagged himself quite the gorgeous girlfriend.

After dumping Catching Kelce reality show winner Maya Benberry, Kelce has resurfaced with entertainment journalist and model Kayla Nicole, who is both objectively hotter and subjectively less trashy.

According to The Kansas City Star,  Nicole’s old YouTube account shows Kayla hosting events, working the red carpet, interviewing celebs and even attending New York Fashion Week for her own vertical, Kayla Nicole TV, and for fashion website Fashion Reverie.  And not only is she stunning, but TMZ also reports that Kayla has an undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University.

With both beauty and brains, it seems Kelce has actually caught a winner this time.

Starting in 2001, Gosling would begin to masterfully transition from child actor to critical darling, with his performance as a jewish neo-Nazi in the film The Believer. A few years later he appeared in the romantic drama the The Notebook, which cemented his status as a major heartthrob. In 2006 Gosling earned some of the best reviews of his career for his performance as a drug-addicted Middle School teacher in the film Half Nelson, culminating in his first Academy Award nomination, for best actor.

Following a well-received performance in 2007’s Lars and the Real Girl, Gosling took a hiatus from acting for a few years. Starting in 2010, he returned to Hollywood with a slew of performances in critically acclaimed films such as Blue ValentineDrive, and The Place Beyond The Pines. During this period he would also star in the hit romantic-comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love, in which his shirtless scene would further bolster his heartthrob credentials.

Gosling’s first effort as a movie director, 2014’s Lost River, was panned by critics, and ended up being a rare black spot on his otherwise strong filmography. Fortunately, Gosling managed to rebound quickly. In 2015 he had a role in the ensemble film The Big Short, which went on to be nominated for Best Picture. In 2016, Gosling starred in the critically acclaimed buddy comedy The Nice Guys, from Lethal Weapon writer Shane Black, and earned his second Academy Award nomination for his role in La La Land alongside his Crazy, Stupid, Love co-star Emma Stone. Next up, Gosling’s role in the long-awaited sequel to Blade Runner should further cement his status as one of Hollywood’s golden boys of the moment.
