The Anaheim Ducks are in major trouble in their best-of-seven series, as they’ve fallen behind 0-2 to the Edmonton Oilers. Both of these losses took place on their home ice, putting Anaheim in a crater-sized hole.

Game 1 was a high-scoring affair and it seemed like we were destined for more fireworks in Game 2, as Andrej Sekera put the Oilers ahead 1-0 just a minute into the game. Edmonton would then extend their lead to 2-0 with a power play goal from Patrick Maroon with 13:19 left in the second period.

The Ducks answered back with a power play goal of their own from Jakob Silfverberg with 4:26 left in the second period. Despite having plenty of time to tie the game, 2-1 is where the score would stay. Edmonton clamped down on defense and Cam Talbot played out of his mind, recording 39 saves and posting a save percentage of 97.5%.

Kickoff Show: Enzo & Cass vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Enzo Amore starts off the match by attacking Karl Anderson. But the former Bullet Club member quickly reverse the tide with a knee. Gallows gets the tag and takes down Enzo with a yuge right hand. Enzo tries to rallies back, but Anderson knocks him down again.

Kickoff: Miz TV featuring Finn Balor

Miz invites his guest Finn Balor down to the ring. Balor makes his usual epic ring entrance. Miz complains that it took five minutes for him to complete his entrance.

The Miz build’s up Balor as a champion everywhere he goes, from Europe to Japan to the WWE. But then Miz calls him a failure for only holding onto the WWE Universal Championship for a day because of injury. He calls all Balor’s fan failures.

Balor doesn’t care. He says going to win back his WWE Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar. Miz finds that laughable. How can Balor beat “The Beast Incarnate”? Especially when The Miz claims that he himself can mop the floor with Finn.

The former Universal Champion takes offense to this insult. He says there’s two clubs: “The Balor Club” and “The Finn Balor just kicked my ass club.” The Miz is about to join the second group.

But Miz pulls his wife Maryse between himself and Finn. Balor says that every episode of Miz TV ends the same way, with The Miz getting his ass kicked. But really, he’s not worth it. Miz is insulted by this comment and yells at Finn, who turns around and nails Miz with a sling blade.

The Miz gets knocked on his ass, and his wife has to help roll him out of the ring. The Miz tumbles out of the ring onto the floor below. He looks up at Balor standing victorious in the ring.

Owens starts to dissect Jericho. Y2J head smacks into the ring-post. KO attacks the tired Jericho on the outside, as he sends him into the barricade and then unleashes a sick cannonball on his foe.

Jericho returns to form with some devastating chops on Owens. KO battles back with some kicks, but that’s not enough to take out Y2J. Jericho mashes Owens’ finger into the steel steps.

Y2J locks in the Walls of Jericho and Owens’ hurt fingers can’t reach the ropes.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Neville (c) vs. Austin Aries

Both men lock up to start this contest. Aries uses his speed to get the upper-hand and stun the King of the Cruiserweights. Austin launches his body onto Neville on the outside.

Aries tries the 450 splash, but Neville turns the tide. Neville whips Aries into the corner, and seriously starts whipping his ass. Austin looks dazed and Neville capitalizes. But Neville gets too cocky and starts posing for fans. Big mistake.

Aries battles back and starts mopping the floor with Neville. Austin has solidly regained control over this match. He locks in the Last Chancery on Neville. It looks like this is it for the King of the Cruiserweights…until he uses the champion’s advantage. Neville grabs the referee and throws him across the ring. Neville breaks free from the submission hold.

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship match: The Hardy Boyz (c) vs. Sheamus & Cesaro

The crowd chanted “Delete” and “Brother Nero” quite a bit in this match. They miss the broken brillance of yesterday. Matt and Jeff dominant Cesaro in the early going, exchanging hot tags. Jeff lands a Poetry in Motion off of his brother’s back. Matt sets his focus on Cesaro’s shoulder, but eats an uppercut. Sheamus gets the tag and nails a rolling Senton onto the prone Hardy.

Cesaro lays out Matt with a running uppercut. Sheamus also lays out Matt, this time with a clothesline. Jeff gets the tags and goes onto the attack against The Celtic Warrior, with an inverted atomic drop and leg drop. But soon enough, Jeff is being dissected by both opponents.

Matt Hardy comes in the ring like a great ball of fire. He smacks Cesaro’s head over and over again in the turnbuckle as the crowd chants “Delete! Delete! Delete!”

Cesaro & Sheamus look primed for victory. But Jeff throws a wrench in those plans. Sheamus is unaware Jeff got the tag, as he pins Matt, Jeff lands a Swanton Bomb.

The Hardy Boyz retain the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship

Post-match: Cesaro & Sheamus shake each Hardy’s hand as a sign of respect. But then, the losing team turn heel and go on the assault. Sheamus and Cesaro beat the crap out of The Hardys. Matt is left blooded.

Alexa Bliss was a complete she-beast in this match. Bayley tried rallying back. But Bliss was way too dominant, almost mopping the floor with the hometown girl. Alexa sends Bayley hurling into the steel post shoulder-first early on in the match. Bliss would capitalize on a hurt Bayley, dropping her with a DDT to end the match. “Little Miss Bliss in the Raw Women’s Champion,” says Corey Graves. Michael Cole notes that Alexa Bliss is the first woman in history to win both Raw and SmackDown’s Women’s Championships.

House of Horrors match Part I: Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt

It’s hard to describe this match. It’s a mixture of a B-rated horror film and The Hardy Boyz Final Deletion Video. The segment starts off with Orton in a limousine. He finds a creepy looking house, and ventures inside. The house is dark and messy. In one room, baby dolls are hanging from the ceiling like ornaments.

Wyatt and Orton go to war inside this house. Both men are laying into one another. Orton tries to smack Wyatt with a frying pan, but Bray kicks him in the balls instead. Bray knocks a refrigerator onto Orton.

Bray Wyatt leaves his home. The lights in his house turn on and it’s glowing blood red. Wyatt enters the limousine and drives off to the arena. The remainder of the match will take place in the arena. If Orton doesn’t make it to the arena, he forfeits the match.

Jordan Edwards, a 15-year-old from Balch Springs, Dallas, was shot and killed by a Texas police officer Saturday night. He was unarmed at the time and the unnamed officer has ben placed on administrative leave, WFAA reports.

What Happened?

Edwards was in a vehicle that the officer shot at, with one of the shots hitting Edwards, who was sitting in the front seat. The car was in a residential of Balch Springs, a suburb of Dallas.

Edwards was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officers were responding to a report of intoxicated teenagers.

A press release from police read: “There was an unknown altercation with the vehicle backing down the road towards the officers in an aggressive manner. An officer shot at the vehicle, striking a front seat passenger. The individual was transported to the hospital where we was pronounced deceased.”

Edwards had been leaving the party and his family’s attorney said the car he was in was not the car police had been responding to. The attorney, Lee Merritt, wrote on Twitter:

Edwards’ friend and teammare, Chris Cano, Jr., told CBS Local that the teen was the “best running back” and added “I still can’t believe it. I want to see his smile again.”

A family friend, Robbin McDonald, told FOX 4: “He was a straight A student, I can tell you he was always smiling.

“I can tell you he was a very, verybrilliant and humble and very sweet kid.”

Balch Springs Police Chief Jonathan Haber said: “On behalf of the entire Balch Springs Police Department, and the city of Balch Springs we express our deep, sincere condolences to the family.”

Edwards was a freshman at Mesquite High School and a student-athlete. He played running back for his school’s football team and was said to have received straight As, according to a family friend.

Peter Selis, a car mechanic, has been identified as the suspect involved in the shooting of seven people – all non-whites – at a San Diego-area apartment complex pool. Selis, 49, was shot to death by police.

What Happened?

Witnesses said he smirked as he calmly shot people after being invited to join the pool party. He was a service technician at a San Diego-area Ford car dealer whose life was crumbling under financial stress and a mountain of credit card debt.

Authorities say the victims included four African-American females, two African-American males, one Hispanic male and an African-American male who broke his arm fleeing. Police have yet to classify this as a racially motivated hate crime as they continue to investigate the motivation.

Several of the victims are in critical condition and one female has died. Her name has yet to be released.

Witnesses said Selis was “relaxed” and held a beer in one hand while firing at multiple people with the other. In between shots, he reportedly told others “You can either leave or you can stay here and die,” according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Selis “was reportedly drinking a beer during the gunfire according to a witness who spoke to CBS News 8,” that television station reported. NBC7 interviewed a witness who said, “there’s a view of the pool area where we could see the shooter sitting there with a beer in one hand and the gun in the other. He looked pretty relaxed.”

David Phillips told the San Diego Union-Tribune that the shooting erupted at his best friend’s birthday party and as he was returning from the bathroom. “He said he immediately got on the ground. His best friend was among those shot,” the newspaper reported, quoting Phillips as saying, “It was like the Twilight Zone. I really can’t explain what happened.”

Shahrayar Jeff told the newspaper that his “8-year-old granddaughter told him the man was sitting and drinking a beer and ‘relaxing and shooting,’” and Jeff labeled the mass shooting “very cold blooded” to the Union Tribune.

The suspect was “reloading his gun in the pool area,” a 911 dispatcher says in the initial audio from the scene. “People down.” The suspect was initially described in the dispatch audio as a white male, age 40. The shooting occurred at La Jolla Crossroads Apartments.

Selis targeted only non-white victims and also shot at police.

“The suspect pointed the gun at our officers and three of our officers fired on the suspect and the suspect went down and the suspect is deceased,” San Diego Police chief Shelley Zimmerman said in a news conference.

Selis’ court history shows that he was struggling with extreme financial problems, including significant credit card debt.

According to San Diego court records, there was a legal separation with minor children in the marriage between Peter Selis and his wife, Michelle Selis, that dates to 2008. There is a 2013 wedding registry at Macy’s for Peter Selis and a woman named Patricia Martinez. However, her Facebook page does not include any mention of him.

A 2015 Chapter 13 bankruptcy filing exists in the name of Peter Raymond Selis and lists as a joint debtor, his spouse, Patricia Martinez. The filing listed assets of $14,100 and liabilities of $108,028.

The bankruptcy filing said Peter Selis worked as a “car mechanic” for Mossy Ford, Inc. in San Diego and had been employed there for five years. The 2015 filing said he had, at that time, a 12-year-old daughter, 16-year-old son, and 19-year-old stepson. He earned $74,676 a year in 2014 from Mossy Ford.

Milton Elementary School in Layfayette Parish, Louisiana is currently on lockdown as deputies search for a person with a weapon in a wooded area near the school.

What Happened?

Joe Craig, Administration Officer for LPSS says the school went on lock down about 60 minutes ago. There is no direct threat to the school, but it has been put on lock down as a precaution.

Lafayette sheriff’s office says Vermilion Parish deputies are working the case. They are searching for a suspect believed to be in the area, KLFY reports.

Montreat College, a private North Carolina Christian school, is mandating that its faculty and staff sign a document that opposes same-sex marriage and abortion. One faculty member told NBC News that she and eight of her colleagues have refused to sign it and are leaving the school.

According to reports, Montreat College’s “Community Life Covenant” expects faculty and staff of the school to affirm “the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman” and the “worth of every human being from conception to death.”

Critics of the measure point to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which contributed $100,000 to the college’s scholarship fund last month. The fund is headed by Franklin Graham, a Montreat College alumnus and a vocal opponent of same-sex marriage and abortion. However, the association has denied any involvement in the covenant.

School spokesman Adam Caress told The Charlotte Observer in an email that only two faculty members — one of its 39 full-time faculty and one of its 142 adjunct faculty — have cited the school’s “core documents,” including the covenant, as the reason they will not return to the school after this semester.

He also said that Montreat College has spent the last two and a half years “reviewing and revising” those core documents in a “transparent and deliberative process” that included 13 “listening sessions,” where the school heard and responded to the concerns of faculty, staff and alumni.

Corrie Greene, an English teacher at Montreat and the director of its writing center, believes the document does not account for what faculty do and say in the classroom and on campus. Greene is among nine faculty members that will not be returning.

“It says we must affirm and uphold the college’s specific spiritual stances in our full 24 hour/seven-day-a-week personal life,” Greene said. “I can’t let somebody else write my personal testimony. In my faith, Christ is constantly showing me something new.”

A small group of students expressed their concerns about the covenant during a gathering on Wednesday outside the school library. Sophomore Bailey Mathews organized the event and hopes to persuade college President Paul Maurer to “consider this a family and reconsider some things that we can fix our broken family.”

Mathews said she does not plan on returning to Montreat College after the semester.

“I was going to stay and I planned on graduating from here,” she said,” but now, no.”

It is almost that time of year again, as spring marches forward we are getting closer to Cinco De Mayo. In the United States, Cinco De Mayo (which translates to ‘the fifth of May’) is celebrated widely by consuming copious amounts of alcohol, specifically tequila. But in a larger sense, Mexican culture is also at the heart of most American celebrations on the fifth as we typically eat their famous foods, listen to their music, and even celebrate with famous dance moves from their country.

However, in Mexico the day is celebrated by holding military parades and appreciating the services of military personnel. While both countries celebrate the holiday in different ways, the real story is incredibly inspiring.

The holiday was put in place to commemorate Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza, who led the countries army to an unlikely victory over the French war machine during the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Of course, was all brought on by the French occupation of Mexico during the aftermath of the Mexican/American War of 1846.

This event also occurred thanks to the Reform War, which was a civil war that had two opposing ideologies, liberals and conservatives. The main issue was the separation of church and state as Mexico’s main religion (Roman Catholic) was becoming more and more involved in government affairs. This war crippled the Treasury department and left Mexico penniless.

Fast forward to 1861, when a large French fleet invaded Veracruz which forced the Mexican president and his cabinet to retreat. The main takeaway is that these battles involved a French army that had over 6,000 men while the Mexican army only had around 2,000. Strategically the Mexican army knew the terrain and had more heart than the French but the victories around Puebla and Mexican forts Loreto and Guadalupe gave the country a significant morale boost.

This was, in essence, a David-and-Goliath-style affair that had the most well-equipped army (the French) losing ground to a spirited Mexican army that was fighting to preserve their way of life. This set off a firestorm of patriotism in Mexico.

So, how did the United States fit into all of this? Well, the U.S. applied pressure to the French and at the time, France was attempting to avoid a full-scale war with Prussia and fend off the scrappy Mexican army, a war with America would have spread them too thin. France also would have notably sided with the Confederates during the American Civil War which could have changed the United States forever.

In the end, Mexico fended off a French invasion that outnumbered their men 2-1, all while establishing a new level of Mexican patriotism. Since then, no country in North America has been invaded by a European force.

The Phillies’ first baseman proved to be one of the most talented in the game and Philadelphia wanted to keep their talented player under contract for the foreseeable future. The team and their star player could not see eye to eye in the courtroom, but in 2008, Howard would win his arbitration case against the Phillies. The ruling gave him $10,000,000.

During the 2009 season, Howard signed a three-year $54,000,000 extension with an annual salary of $15,000,000. He would also land a bonus check in 2009/2010 worth $50,000. The following year his new contract was worth $125,000,000 with an annual salary of $19,000,000.

2011 – Present

Howard’s days of low-grade paychecks are completely over. In the 2011 season, he would go on to make $20,000,000 flat, not counting his endorsement deals. He would continue to make that exact amount over the course of the next two seasons.

In 2014, Howard began to reel in some bigger endorsements, which landed him $700,000. His contract also saw a bit of a boost as he would make $5 million extra. His salary for the next three seasons was a whopping $25,000,000 per season. During the 2015 season, he would add $600,000 to his bank account in sponsorship deals.

Howard’s play may have deteriorated but he is making more money than ever. He should be with a new team fairly soon if he does not retire but he should be financially secure for the rest of his life. He should go down in history as one of the most valuable MLB players to ever play the game.

UFC 211 will host a variety of incredible fights, but it is easy to see why Stipe Miocic versus the fourth-ranked Junior Dos Santos will be a war for the ages. Both fighters are incredibly accurate and have great defensive styles, so it should be a marathon. Dos Santos has a slight reach advantage but Miocic has more knockout power. Dos Santos is also the more skilled submission artist so that could play a role as the fight wears on. The champion Miocic will come in two pounds heavier and should look to push the pace early.

The card also features what should be a brutal fight between Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and the number three ranked Jessica Andrade. Some people speculate that this fight may even better than the main event as both fighters are incredibly talented and hit extremely hard. The one thing Andrade does have over the champ is the ability to finish fights early. Jedrzejczyk is 13-0 and has dominated her opponents in just about every fight she has been in. She is incredibly quick and has drawn some comparisons to another famous boxer, Floyd “Money” Mayweather. Jessica Andrade is an incredibly powerful fighter who can easily dominate her opponent. She is also an accomplished submission artist, so if she can keep the fight in close quarters, Jedrzejczyk could be in trouble.

The rest of the card is just as incredible, as there are a ton of competitive, big-name contenders are looking to make an impact on the UFC world. The prelims are also filled with great matchups that should keep fans entertained until the main card.

Regarded as a tenacious shooter and defender, Paul Pierce is one of the most iconic players in NBA history. Although Pierce spent the majority of his 19-year career with the Boston Celtics, he was able to find moderate success playing with the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Clippers. How did Pierce get there? And how was Pierce able to maintain his impressive abilities to garner this much financial success? Let’s find out.

1998 – 2006

After being selected with the tenth overall pick by the Boston Celtics in 1998 NBA draft, Pierce quickly displayed his impressive abilities as a scorer, underrated defender and most importantly as a clutch asset in late game situations. In 2002, Pierce was the catalyst in leading the Celtics to the playoffs for the first time in seven years. While the Celtics would go on to lose to the New Jersey Nets in the Eastern Conference Finals, Pierce was instrumental in helping his team win the third game of the series. 19 of Pierce’s 28 points came in the fourth quarter, which allowed the Celtics to overcome a 21-point fourth quarter deficit.

Pierce had his best season to date during the 2005-2006 NBA season. He scored 30 points or more in eight straight games (a franchise record) and used his clutch shooting abilities to win two games during the regular season. Hitting buzzer beaters on two separate occasions, Pierce was able to defeat the Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers. From February 4 to March 12 of that season, Pierce scored 30 or more points in 13 out of 14 games, the best stretch in Celtics history.

The 2006-2007 NBA season saw Pierce succumb to a stress fracture in his foot. Although Pierce was still a crucial contributor when he played, the Celtics would take a huge step back as they only won 24 games.

2007 – 2013

Coming into the 2007 season, Pierce expressed his excitement when the Celtics acquired Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. With these newfound pieces, Pierce took the next step in his career by solidifying his defensive skill set. As a result, the Celtics bounced back from a woeful 2006 season by going 66-16 in 2007. Once again, Pierce’s composure was needed to allow the Celtics to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in game seven of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. Pierce was able to compile a point total of 41 points, the second-highest point total in franchise history in a game seven.

While the Celtics would go on to reach the NBA Finals, Pierce was injured in the third quarter in the first game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite the injury scare, Pierce was able to rejoin his team quickly and scored 15 in the third quarter to lead the Celtics to a victory. From there, Pierce took charge in the NBA Finals and ultimately allowed the Celtics to win the NBA Championship in six games. Pierce was named the NBA Finals MVP after the Celtics dominated the Lakers in a close out Game 6 131-92.

With an NBA Championship, Pierce was determined to help his team repeat during the 2008-2009 season. Despite missing only one game and leading the team in scoring, the Celtics were unable to get past the second round of the playoffs due to a devastating injury to Kevin Garnett.

One year later, the Celtics would once again be in contention to win a second NBA title in three years. Naturally, Pierce would hit an impressive buzzer beater against the Miami Heat to take a commanding 3-0 series lead in the first round. The Celtics would go on to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round while eliminating the Orlando Magic in six games in the Eastern Conference Finals. As a result, the Celtics once again drew the Los Angeles Lakers as their NBA Finals opponent. While the Celtics were up 3-2 in the series, the Lakers crushed the Celtics in game six. Game seven saw the Celtics uncharacteristically blow a 13-point second half lead, which allowed the Lakers to win their second NBA Championship in a row.

Understandably frustrated, Pierce decided to become a free agent during the 2010 offseason. However, Pierce and the Celtics eventually agreed to a four-year extension.

During the 2010-2011 playoffs, the Celtics once again found themselves in an intriguing matchup against the Miami Heat, this time in the second round. However, the loaded Heat quickly eliminated the Celtics in five games, sending an opportunistic Celtics team home sooner than they would have liked. Unfortunately for Pierce and the Celtics, this would not be the last time the Miami Heat played spoiler to their aspirations of winning another NBA title.

During the 2012 NBA Playoffs, the Celtics would go against the Heat for the third year in a row, this time in the Eastern Conference Finals. Despite Pierce nailing a clutch three point shot over Lebron James to give the Celtics a 3-2 series lead, it would not be enough for his team to close out the series. The Celtics dropped the last two games of the series to the Heat.

The consistency of the Celtics success quickly deteriorated during the 2012-2013 season. After losing point guard Rajon Rando for the entire season due to injury, the Celtics struggled mightily to clinch the seventh seed in the NBA playoffs after finishing just one game above .500. In devastating fashion, the Celtics lost to the New York Knicks in the first round in six games. This early exit was due in part to Pierce’s poor shooting from the field (36.8%) and from 3-point range (26.8%).

During the 2013 offseason, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Jason Terry were traded to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for several first rounds picks and a number of bench players. While Pierce obtained numerous individual accolades (became the fourth active player to score 25,000 points, sixth player in NBA history to score 1,000 points in 15 consecutive seasons), the Nets struggled. However, Pierce and the Nets clinched a playoff berth and dug deep to beat the Toronto Raptors in seven games thanks to a last-second blocked shot by Pierce in game seven. However, after losing to the Miami Heat in five games in the second round, rumors began to circulate of Pierce wanting to depart from the Nets.

2014 – Present

Pierce would eventually sign a two-year, $11 million contract with the Washington Wizards. Once again, Pierce was able to pad his stats to pass Reggie Miller and Alex English for 16th and 15th on the all-time scoring list. Pierce was only able to average 11.9 points per game on the season, a career low.

However, Wizards fans would eventually get a taste of Pierce’s never say die attitude. During the first round in 2015, Pierce calmly made a buzzer-beating two-point shot over three defenders to give the Wizards a 2-1 series lead over the Atlanta Hawks. Unfortunately, Pierce was unable to ignite his team to a series victory as the Wizards ultimately lost to the Hawks in six games.

Pierce would make one final attempt to join a championship caliber team when he signed a three-year, $10 million dollar contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. For the first time in his career, Pierce was a role player rather than a starter as he played behind Lance Stephenson at the small forward position. His inaugural 20 games with the Clippers saw Pierce go scoreless in five of those games. While Pierce would go on to accumulate 45,000 minutes of playing time in his career (17th player in NBA history to reach mark), his once coveted abilities as a shooter and defender were declining rapidly.

Despite finishing the season with a 51-31 record during the 2016-2017 season, Pierce and the Clippers failed to get past the Utah Jazz in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Pierce averaged just 11.1 minutes in the series and scored six points in game seven of the series.

Although Pierce was never able to garner another NBA Championship, he was a consummate competitor who gave everything he had to the game of basketball. Without question, Pierce is a future Hall-Of-Famer and will be regarded as once of the most exciting players to watch in NBA history.

Roughly 30% of survey participants said snoring and teeth grinding were their biggest complaint about their partners. In fact, women of all age groups were annoyed by these two involuntary habits. Unlike needling us during a football game, this complaint is 100% warranted.

2. Californians Are In Need Of New Beds

California is stereotyped as the most laid back state in the country, but for some reason it’s apparently very uncomfortable when they literally lay back.

According to the survey, Californians were the most likely to keep the same mattress for more than a decade – which is longer than recommended. In second was New York and in third was Ohio. We get it, mattresses are expensive. But wouldn’t you rather shell out some cash rather than suffer through an endless deluge of sleepless nights, eventually turning you into an insomniac who creates an entirely new personality to cope with life only to lose control to that new personality who has created and organized a nation-wide domestic terrorist organization?

Okay, I may have just stolen the plot of Fight Club, but my argument still stands.

3. What Do Hugh Hefner and the Midwest Have in Common?

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner is apparently a massive fan of waterbeds. You know who else enjoys waterbeds? People that reside in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio and South Dakota. According to the survey, 5.2% of people in Midwestern states own a waterbed, which is a lot higher than the national average of 2.9%.

According to a tweet from the Dallas Police Association there is an active shooter situation in Dallas. Reports say one Dallas firefighter has been wounded in a shooting in east Dallas, in the 3100 block of Reynolds, just south of I-30 near Dolphin Rd.

What Happened?

According to reports, the shooting took place in east Dallas. City officials received a call “at approximately 11:31 A.M.”

Officials say the injured firefighter was transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. His condition is not known, though the Dallas Morning News reports that he is in surgery. NBC 5’s Ken Kalthoff noted a large DFR presence at the hospital.

UPDATE: A Dallas Fire-Rescue EMT Unit was shot at and a paramedic was injured. He is currently undergoing surgery and is said to be in critical condition.

Police are looking for a black male that is bald, wearing dark green shirt and jeans. He may be armed with a rifle.

Dallas police are currently exchanging gunfire with the suspect, according to the Dallas Police Association. WFAA reported that police have surrounded a home in the area.

The incident is taking place not far from the intersection of Dolphin Road and Interstate 30. Dolphin Road is closed in both directions and a temporary flight restriction is likely forthcoming. Traffic on Interstate 30 appears unaffected.

No other injures have been reported at this time.

Diana Falzone, a popular Foxnews.com host, recently wrote an op-ed about her endometriosis, which is related to demoted fertility, and then found herself barred from appearing on air. In a new lawsuit, she alleged that the network executives thought the divulging of such information “detracted from her sex appeal and made her less desirable.”

Falzone first began appearing on Fox News, Fox Business and Foxnews.com in 2008 and became an on-air personality four years ago, according to her Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit, which was filed Monday.

Falzone, 34, also launched and hosted several “successful and popular” Foxnews.com shows such as In the Zone and Four4Four Entertainment. She also appeared as a guest on Fox and Friends Weekend and Hannity.

In 2016, Falzone became sick with endometriosis, “a chronic condition that occurs when endometrial tissue grows outside of the uterus on other organs or structures in the body.” She underwent emergency surgery that March and also learned from doctors that “she would likely be infertile,” according to court papers.

Falzone wrote an op-ed about her ordeal that was posted on Foxnews.com on January 24, 2017.

While the article “went viral” and prompted praise, Falzone’s boss told her shortly thereafter “she was permanently banned from ever appearing on air on any Foxnews.com, Fox News Channel, Fox Business or any other Fox (platform) … and would never again be permitted to host her own shows or conduct her own interviews,” the suit charges.

Falzone’s boss said the mandate came from the “Second Floor,” which is where the network executives work.

She agues that male hosts at Fox have frequently discussed health problems in op-eds including Neil Cavuto’s 2016 discussion of his heart surgery and multiple sclerosis.

“The male-dominated senior management of Fox News obviously objected to the fact that a female on-air host had disclosed that she suffers from a women’s reproductive health condition, which, in their eyes, detracted from her sex appeal and made her less desirable,” she charges.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama is commanding a staggering $200,000 per speaking engagement, Mike Allen reported for Axios.

That number represents roughly half of what husband Barack Obama earns in appearance fees and around the same as former United States President George W. Bush, according to Allen. Bill Clinton reportedly is paid slightly more.

Shortly after concluding his two terms in January, Barack and Michelle signed a considerable $60 million book deal while also hiring high-powered attorneys to help them negotiate their representation by the Harry Walker Agency (which also represents Bill and Hillary Clinton). They also began planning Barack’s presidential center and library in Chicago. Just because they are no longer in the White House doesn’t mean they aren’t incredibly busy.

The NBA conference semi-finals are ready to go, and the Cleveland Cavaliers are set to host the Toronto Raptors in Game 1. We’ve seen this situation before, as the two eastern conference teams are playing each other for the second consecutive year. The Cavaliers got the better of Toronto en route to their title last year, but things can change quickly in the NBA.

The Raptors are 1-11 all time in Game 1’s in the playoffs and posted just a 2-4 record against the Cavs in the regular season this year.

Despite sweeping the Indiana Pacers in the first round, Cleveland experienced some very close calls and were just able to edge out wins. The Raptors are looking to hopefully one-up the Pacers effort and close games in the fourth quarter. As the three seed taking on the two, anything can happen.

Toronto will continue to look to DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry to get the offense going. The biggest question will be if the Raptors can find any way to slow LeBron James down, who was the first player to average at least 30 points, nine rebounds, nine assists, three steals, and two blocks in a playoff series. The rosters are bit different on both squads, but Cleveland will certainly remain the favorite, for now.

One person has died after several other people were injured in a stabbing incident at the University of Texas at Austin on Monday, according to multiple reports. The university’s police department said it took a suspect into custody after two people were stabbed and another was assaulted.

What Happened?

A stabbing incident on the campus of the University of Texas at Auston on Monday has claimed the life of one person and left several others injured. The suspect is was taken into custody after two people were stabbed and another was assaulted.

Police said “there is no ongoing threat to the campus.”

Austin-Travis County EMS told ABC News that three people were taken to a hospital after the incident. The three survivors are said to be in serious condition.

Austin-Travis County EMS said that the incident took place at 1:46 P.M. local time.
