Tom Brady’s mother Galynn got to watch her son play in person for the first time this season due to her ongoing battle with an undisclosed illness.

It was revealed on Tuesday that Brady’s mother, Galynn, had been dealing with an unspecified medical condition.

Brady’s mother had been fighting an undisclosed illness for 18 months that kept her from attending any of her son’s games. However, playing in his record 7th Super Bowl, Galynn was able to find the strength to make it down to Houston.

via NY Post:

“It’s kind of madness after the game, I didn’t get too much quality time,” Brady said after leading the Patriots, 34-28 overtime winners, to the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history. “But we’ll get it this week and I was happy everybody was here. I had my wife, my parents, my sisters, my brothers-in-law and one of my sisters-in-law. A lot of friends and it was a full contingent of support.”

“I was trying, but I couldn’t,” Brady said. “It was all Patriots fans and everyone was waving at me, so I couldn’t really make anybody out.”

Asked about dedicating the game to his mother, Brady said: “Yeah, they’re all happy. It’s nice to have everybody here, and it’s going to be a great celebration tonight. Thank you to all of our fans. Everyone back in Boston and New England, we love you. You’ve been with us all year.

No matter how you feel about Brady, Belichick, and the Patriots, it was genuinely awesome to see Brady’s mother bravely make her way to Super Bowl 51 to support her son.

The Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction returns!

During the broadcast of Super Bowl 51, cameras spotted Chrissy Teigen’s wardrobe malfunction as she watched watching the New England Patriots take on the Atlanta Falcons with her husband John Legend.

In between shots of various celebrities attending the game, the cameras focused on the supermodel as her nipple became exposed.

Obviously, Chrissy reacted like only she could.

Don’t Want To Speak Too Soon, But This New ‘Pirates’ Movie Looks Pretty Awesome

The latest trailer for the fifth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean aired during the Super Bowl, giving fans their best look yet at Javier Bardem’s Salazar and his army of the dead.

Salazar, a ghost pirate, is looking to settle an old score with Captain Jack Sparrow. The film features the return of Orlando Bloom as Will Turner and Geoffrey Rush as Hector Barbossa.

Did they kind of rip off the Logan trailer? Sure. But does that make it any less awesome? Of course not. At this point, I’ve been essentially Pavloved into thinking any movie with Johnny Cash in the trailer is going to be f*cking sweet. You give me Johnny Cash, and I’ll give you $12 dollars.

All that said, I have high hopes for this one after the shit shows that were Pirates 3 & 4. We could all use a Johnny Depp renaissance in our lives.

Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) feels the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost sailors led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Capt. Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it, he must forge an uneasy alliance with a brilliant and beautiful astronomer and a headstrong young man in the British navy.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will hit theaters on May 26, 2017.

Chanel Lewis Charged With Murder In One Of New York’s Highest Profile Cases In Years

Chanel Lewis, 20, was arraigned at a Queens court on Sunday night and formally charged with murdering Karina Vetrano in Spring Creek Park on August 2.

Cathy Vetrano, Karina’s mother, was joined by her husband Phil as Lewis was charged. Approximately 20 members of Vetrano family were in the courtroom, as were several members of Lewis’ family, including the suspect’s father.

“Now your nightmare begins,” Vetrano screamed as Lewis was charged.

According to police, Lewis was filled with lethal rage when he grabbed Vetrano as she went for a jog in Queens, New York. Lewis raped her and strangled the 30-year-old woman before leaving her body in weeds.

Via NY Daily News:

Detectives had little to work with to find the man who crossed Vetrano’s path. She scratched him and captured some of his DNA, but he had no record so no match could be made. The randomness of the attack added to the difficulty of solving the crime. It took months of searching the area and records, a cop’s suspicions, to finally land Lewis.

“He gave a detailed incriminating account of what happened — but he doesn’t really explain why it happened. It was a very random thing. He just came up on her and acted out. There wasn’t any conversation. It was a chance encounter. There was no reason to believe he was stalking her. He just happened to come up on her,” a law enforcement source told the Daily News about Lewis.

While police were able to recover Lewis’ DNA from Vetrano’s body and cell phone, the samples didn’t match anyone in both the New York or national DNA databases of convicted criminals.

Snitch UCF Freshman Rats Out Phi Delta Theta Fraternity For Hazing

Listen, getting caught hazing is one thing. I’m of the opinion that if you get caught hazing, it’s your own fault, and therefore you probably deserve to be punished. However, getting snitched out, especially by a freshman, is an absolutely brutal way to get popped.

When you start college as a freshman, you literally have zero f*cking clue about anything. I remember the first party I ever went to at Rutgers, I thought it was the dopest shit ever, only to later find out that the party was actually a joke in comparison to others. So this freshman chick coming out of left field to reign down chaos on an entire fraternity because her friend is too big of a pussy to get through hell week is an all-time preposterous move.

Via KnightNews:

A University of Central Florida official confirmed that the UCF chapter of Phi Delta Theta will be under review for allegations of hazing. The Office of Student Conduct will investigate the accusation of violating the university’s “Golden Rule,” relevant to the Organizational Rules of Conduct (UCF 5.012), hazing component.

The Golden Rule warns that “any action or situation which recklessly or intentionally endangers the mental or physical health and/or safety of a student” may be subject to felony charges, including by means of recruitment into an organization.

The UCF Phi Delta Theta President, Gary Burns, enumerated to Knight News that safety remains an utmost priority in the how the organization runs.

Via UCF Organizational Rules of Conduct:

10) Hazing- The University does not condone hazing in any form and defines hazing to include but not limited to:

(a) Any action or situation which recklessly or intentionally endangers the mental or physical health and/or safety of a student for the purpose of initiation or admission into, or association with, any organization. Hazing may result in felony charges.

(b) Brutality of a physical nature such as whipping, beating, branding, forced calisthenics, exposure to the elements; forced consumption of any food, liquor, liquid, drug, or other substances; or other forced elements; or other forced activity which could adversely affect the mental or physical health or safety of the individual.

(c) Any activity that could subject the individual to mental or physical stress such as sleep deprivation, forced exclusion from social contact, forced contact which could result in embarrassment, or any other activity that could adversely affect the mental or physical health or dignity of the individual.

(d) Forcing or requiring the violation of University policies, federal, state, or local law.

(e) Any activity, as described above, upon which the initiation or admission into or association with a student organization may be directly or indirectly conditioned, shall be presumed to be a “forced” activity, the willingness of an individual to participate in such an activity notwithstanding.

College Basketball Schedule Week 14

Getty Images

This past week of college basketball can be summed up in one word: awesome. It was so, so, so awesome and I think that still doesn’t do it justice. We saw six Top 10 teams go down… ON SATURDAY ALONE! Has that ever happened?! If you thought that the Super Bowl was going to be the only exciting sporting event going on this past weekend, you got a nice little appetizer on Saturday with an outstanding day of college hoops. This season alone has been absolutely incredible, and I really have no idea who’s going to be cutting down the nets in March. This week gives us a lot of great matchups, including everyone’s favorite rivalry, Duke-UNC. Here’s how the rest of the week looks for the Top 25 in college basketball.

Alt-Right, Reasonable As Always, Claims Lady Gaga’s Halftime Show Was A Satanic Ritual

I’ve always secretly wondered what it’s like to be delusional. It must be quite liberating to be able to say and do things without being concerned about how insane you sound. Being able to say and do whatever you want without worrying about the consequences is true freedom.

Shout out to InfoWars founder Alex Jones and his delusion. I agree with him and his followers on literally nothing and have zero respect for any human who considers themselves ‘alt-right’ but I’m man enough to admit I’m slightly jealous of the Joneses and Trumps of the world who are able to throw logic and reason to the wind without any hesitation. Gotta be exhilarating.

Prior to the Super Bowl, Jones posted on Facebook to warn followers not to watch Gaga’s show because she’s the spawn of Satan and part of the “New World Order.”

Via Independent:

After claiming Gaga “does rituals” and pointing out she once wore a meat suit, Jones said the Super Bowl “organisers are deciding to defile America and break our will by having us bow down to this.”

“They say she’s going to stand on top of the stadium, ruling over everyone with drones everywhere, surveilling everyone in a big swarm,” he said. “To just condition them to say ‘I am the Godess of Satan’ ruling over them with the rise of the robots in a ritual of lesser magic.”

Truly remarkable display of lunacy.

ICYMI: Melissa McCarthy Brought The House Down With Her Sean Spicer Impression On SNL

Who would have thought that Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump would be SNL’s second funniest political impression?

Full disclosure: I’ve watched this sketch about 10 times. In fact, I actually have been retroactively watching Sean Spicer press conferences just so I could fully appreciate the intricacies of McCarthy’s impression. And honestly, this skit is just as funny the 11th time as it was the first.

As Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, McCarthy chugged gum, offered an apology “on behalf of the press, to me” and sprayed journalist with a water gun. The result is one of the funniest SNL sketches I’ve ever seen in my entire life.

And for reference, here is what Spicer is like in real life:

Quite shockingly, Spicer didn’t seem all too bothered about McCarthy’s impression. Maybe he could teach his boss a thing or two about not melting down over an inconsequential comedy sketch.

via Yahoo:

Speaking with Extra at the Super Bowl on Sunday, the White House press secretary suggested McCarthy’s faux press briefing from the weekend’s Saturday Night Live went too far, saying that the actress “could dial back” on her portrayal of him.

Specifically, Spicer thinks McCarthy “needs to slow down on the gum chewing; way too many pieces in there.”

It Sureeee Does Look Like James White Was Down Before Reaching The Endzone

Does this change anything? No. The Falcons still blew a 28-3 second half lead and that is absolutely inexcusable.  In a year where both the Warriors and Indians blew 3-1 leads, the Falcons proved to be the biggest choke job of them all.

That said, James White is clearly down before crossing the goal line. No question. How the referees didn’t review this is beyond me. Aren’t all scoring plays supposed to be reviewed? What happened, Goodell? Of all the times to utilize instant replay, a Super Bowl-deciding run is probably one.

The NFL: consistently taking two steps forward and one step back.

College Basketball Rankings & Standings: Top 25 Teams, Week 14

It seems like I’ve been saying this every week now, but man this college basketball season has been absolutely fantastic. This past Saturday alone, we saw six of the Top 10 teams go down, and I’m sure there will be more that go down this week. I love the madness of it all because I love that there is absolutely no clear-cut winner. Yes, I know Gonzaga is #1 and undefeated, but do you really see them running the table and going all the way? Didn’t think so. Anyways, this week’s Top 25 is still pretty similar to what it was last week, except Notre Dame and Northwestern both fell out of the rankings. With two losses last week, Baylor only dropped to #6, so good for them I guess.

Here’s how the rest of the Top 25 looks for this week.

Best Video Game Expansions: Top 5 Must-Play DLCs Right Now

Best Video Game Expansions

Downloadable content is a divisive topic. On one hand, it is great when developers put some extra time into an already released title and give you the option to pay a little more to gain access to a wealth of extra content for your favorite game. On the other hand, many believe that the DLC that is eventually released (especially day-one DLC) should have been included in the game in the first place. Whatever your stance on the issue, downloadable content has found its foothold in the industry and it seems as though it is here to stay.

While the early days of DLCs were little more than quick cash-grabs (Oblivion’s horse armor fiasco of ’06 comes to mind), recent forays into the world of downloadable content have been much more worthwhile investments and can be a great way to reinvigorate games, giving players a reason to go back to the titles they have already finished.

Here is our list of the top five best DLCs of all time.

Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss

As any Dark Souls fan will tell you, the franchise can only be described as a cathartic experience. Souls offers a level of difficulty and bare-bones lore that keeps us all coming back for more and its gameplay is pure digital addiction. If all you want is more Dark Souls, Artorias of the Abyss is exactly the fix you need. The expansion sent players back in time to play through some of the key moments that were hinted at in the ambiguous lore presented throughout the base game. The expansion also included tons of new weapons, armor, and NPCs to interact with. On top of all that, players got to fight Artorias himself, which was easily one of the hardest bosses the series had ever delivered.

Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea

Bioshock Infinite was a hell of a great surprise. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the original Bioshock, but the second installment really left me disappointed and I kept my hopes way down for the third. Bioshock Infinite was fantastic and it was serendipitous that Infinite’s DLC would take me back to Rapture for another horrific jaunt through its underwater halls. Involving characters from the Infinite base game, Burial at Sea gave players a glimpse into the world of Rapture on the eve of its downfall. It was great to have a chance to engage in the faster paced Inifinite-style gameplay while also getting a chance to experience Rapture like never before.

Destiny: The Taken King

Destiny was a strange animal when it was first released. Part Halo and part… something else entirely, people flocked in droves to grind out level after level. However, ask anyone and they would probably admit that the game was missing something. Enter The Taken King. This expansion fixed many of the problems that people had with the base game and provided a story that was actually coherent, something that the base game lacked. The DLC also brought on Nolan North to not only be the ongoing voice of the ghost in the game, but he also re-recorded and replaced all of Peter Dinklage’s awful lines from the base title. It’s rare that a piece of DLC changes the face of a game so consistently across all aspects of its design and adds a great story and more content to top it all off.

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

With the sequel to Red Dead coming out later this year, I have found myself reflecting on the original as of late. Beautiful landscapes and a thrilling tale of Wild West-style revenge tickle my nostalgia button as I dream about the dozens of hours I logged into Redemption. Maybe some of the best hours I’ve ever played in the Red Dead universe would be the eerie Undead Nightmare expansion. Unlike most DLCs that give players more of the same, Undead Nightmare turned the classic Wild West world into a zombie playscape. Toss in a muzzle-loading blunderbuss to fight off the droves of undead and this little piece of DLC is truly a time-tested gem.

The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine

The second of two major DLCs for The Witcher 3 (the other being the almost as good Heart of Stone DLC), Blood and Wine is what a DLC should be. The final expansion for an already massive game adds an entirely new nation to explore with countless new side quests, armor sets, weapons, and a cast of new characters that are both interesting and memorable. Not to mention that the main story of the expansion is utterly massive adding at least 20 hours of gameplay on top of the original 60+ hours that the base game already offers. Add in the “new game plus” mode, which was released alongside the expansion, and you may find yourself revisiting those low-level quests you never got around to as the new mode increases the level of all enemies in the world. It is rare that a DLC seems like a game on its own and Blood and Wine truly feels like a full-fledged, standalone title from the epic opening boss fight all the way to the last.

Super Bowl 51 Memes: Funny Photos, Best Images & Jokes

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots’ legendary comeback from being down 28-3 sparked some of the best memes we’ve seen in a while. After Super Bowl 51, the Atlanta Falcons have now joined a list spanning from the Golden State Warriors to the Cleveland Indians, entering the category of teams known for giving up massive leads in championship games from 2016-17.

The Patriots were absolutely shredded in the first half of the Super Bowl, leading to memes ripping apart Brady and Bill Belichick. From cheating to deflating footballs, the material was gold. Just when you thought the game couldn’t get better, the Patriots came all the way back. The Falcons were left as the ones being laughed at in memes for the ages. Oh, and Roger Goodell wasn’t left out of the mix in what seemed to be the most awkward handshake ever with Brady.

The Falcons have continued last year’s streak of blown leads and even Hillary Clinton was not spared by the internet.

Best Super Bowls Ever: Top 5 Super Bowls Of All Time Ranked

Unless you’re a Falcons fan, last night was one of the best sporting events I ever watched, and that’s coming from someone who isn’t a Patriots fan (Pats -3, all time backdoor cover). Super Bowl 51 was everything I wanted as a sports fan: big plays, a huge comeback, money in my pocket, and a kick ass halftime show from Lady Gaga. It’s all I could have asked for with my New York Giants choosing not to participate in the big game and graciously allowing Tom Brady to win his fifth Super Bowl.

Now that the NFL season is over and I’m a sad miserable shell of myself, I’m going to do what most sports writers in the world are probably doing today after that great game we got last night, and that’s ranking the five Best Super Bowls in NFL history. I should probably preface this by saying that I’m only 25 years old, so I’ve only seen so many Super Bowls in my life. However, I am a historian of the NFL, so any game on this list that I was not alive for I have a pretty good understanding of how the game went. Without further ado, here are the best Super Bowls in the history of the NFL.

5. Super Bowl XXV – New York Giants vs. Buffalo Bills

Getty Images

Getty Images

WIDE RIGHT. Yes, I know that I said I’m a Giants fan, so I might be a bit biased on this one. I wasn’t alive for this game, but by all accounts this was one of the best Super Bowls ever played. The high-flying Buffalo Bills offense was led by their three-headed monster in quarterback Jim Kelly, running back Thurman Thomas, and wide receiver Andre Reed. They were favorites heading into the game. On the other side of the field, you had the Giants, who were known for their defense and had backup quarterback Jeff Hostetler filling in for the injured Phil Simms. The Giants won by taking away the passing attack from the Bills and jamming their receivers at the line. And yes, we all know what happened at the end when Buffalo kicker Scott Norwood missed a game-winning field goal wide right. It was the first of four consecutive Super Bowl losses for the Bills.

4. Super Bowl XLIX – New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks

Getty Images

Getty Images

This isn’t the last time we’re going to see the Pats on this list, so if you can’t stand them, brace yourself. The Seahawks were on the verge of repeating as Super Bowl champions and held a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter, and then some Brady guy you may have heard of flipped the script and took a 28-24 lead late in the game. Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson gave New England trouble all game, led a very impressive drive late in the game, and put the Seahawks yards away from winning a second straight Super Bowl. The big play of the drive was an incredible juggling catch from wide receiver Jermaine Kearse, which would have been one of the greatest catches in NFL history, but coach Pete Carroll decided to call a pass play from the one-yard line with Marshawn Lynch in the backfield. Wilson threw a pick to cornerback Malcolm Butler and the game was sealed. Credit to Butler though, because it was an incredible play he made on the ball.

3. Super Bowl XLIII – Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Arizona Cardinals

Getty Images

Getty Images

This game provided us with two of the best plays in both Super Bowl and NFL history. With the Cardinals about to punch it in for a touchdown right before the half, linebacker James Harrison picked up Kurt Warner in the end zone and returned it 100 yards for a touchdown to close out the first half, giving the Steelers all of the momentum. However, the second half was all about Arizona wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who scored two huge touchdowns, one giving the Cardinals the lead late in the game. As it turned out, it wasn’t enough as Ben Roethlisberger led the Steelers on a game-winning drive, where he found wide receiver Santonio Holmes in the back of the end zone for the winning score, giving the Steelers their record sixth Super Bowl.

2. Super Bowl XLII – New York Giants vs. New England Patriots

Getty Images

I really wanted to put this one at number one because it was one of my greatest moments as a sports fan, but I’m as objective as they come, and didn’t want to play favorites. We all know the story. The 18-0 Patriots were on the cusp of immortality and just had to get through the underdog New York Giants to become the second team in NFL history to go undefeated, but my man Eli Manning had something to say about that. After putting serious pressure on Tom Brady all night, the defense had their only slip-up of the game, letting Brady drive the Pats down the field and find Randy Moss in the end zone to take a 14-10 lead late in the game. All hope seemed lost for me and Giant fans everywhere on a third and long when it looked like Eli was about to take a sack, but he broke out of the tackle and just chucked the ball deep down field to find receiver David Tyree, who jumped up and pinned the ball against his helmet for a 32-yard gain. A few players later, Elite Eli found Plaxico Burress for a late touchdown, and the G-Men won 17-14, crushing the Pats’ hopes of an undefeated season. It was also the first of two times that Eli took down Brady and Belichick in a Super Bowl, something no other quarterback has been able to do, just in case any of you forgot.

1. Super Bowl LI – New England Patriots vs. Atlanta Falcons

Getty Images

Getty Images

Maybe I’m being a prisoner of the moment here, but goddammit, Super Bowl 51 was something special. First ever Super Bowl to go to overtime too, not that you haven’t been told that for the millionth time or anything. I didn’t think there was any chance the Patriots could come back and win that game, especially after the pick six from Robert Alford. They were down 25 points in the second half for God’s sake! Then Brady pulled off the most incredible comeback I’ve ever seen and led the Patriots to their fifth Super Bowl title. The play of the game came from Julian Edelman on the game-tying drive where he pinned a ball to a Falcons’ defender’s leg, then juggled it, and came down with the catch to pick up a huge first down. A lot of people are saying the Falcons choked away their 28-3 lead and that may be true, but I personally give more credit to the Patriots for taking it from them. I still can’t believe that they needed two touchdowns to go with two two-point conversions to tie the game, and they freaking did it. I’m pretty sure everyone and their mother knew that once the Pats won the coin toss in overtime, that was all she wrote for Atlanta, as running back James White scored the winning touchdown to cap off a great drive led by Brady. Did it help that I had money on New England this game? You bet your sweet ass I did, but even if I didn’t, that was truly one of the greatest games I’ve ever seen.

Louisville vs. Virginia Live Stream: How To Watch Online For Free

Louisville vs. Virginia

Should we all be upset that football is over? Damn right we should be, football is the best and will always be the best, and last night’s Super Bowl proves my point. Fortunately for us sports fans, March Madness is right around the corner and tonight we get a big college basketball game between two tough ACC teams as the #4 Louisville Cardinals look to get a win on the road against the #12 Virginia Cavaliers. This is the second matchup between the two programs, with Virginia pulling off the upset at Louisville earlier this year by the score of 61-53.

After losing to Virginia earlier in the season, Louisville bounced back by winning eight of their last 10 games, including their past three in a row, all by 23 points or more. The Cardinals seem to have found their identity in their defense, which only allows 62.3 points a game, while also pulling down 41.1 rebounds a game, which is ninth-best in the country. The signature win for Louisville this year came against in-state rival Kentucky, so needless to say they’re used to playing in big games this season. It’ll definitely be a tough game for them as Virginia is a place that’s been very tough to play over the last few seasons, but the revenge factor from their loss earlier in the season could be the motivation they need to give them the W tonight.

While I just gave credit to Louisville for being a good defensive basketball team, there isn’t a team in the country that plays better defense than Virginia, as they give up 54 points a game, which is the best in the country. Unfortunately for the Cavaliers, they’ve lost two of their last three games, one being a buzzer beater to Villanova, and then a fairly bad loss to unranked Syracuse 66-62. Although they play excellent defense, I have a hard time buying into Virginia as a national title contender because they average less than 70 points a game (68.9), and only have two players that average in the double digits in scoring. I think to be a considered a real contender, you need to have someone who can create their own shot whenever you need a big bucket, and yes team leading scorer London Perrantes is a nice player, I don’t think his 11.9 points a game will get it done when it matters most. It will be interesting to see if they’re able to bounce back from their rough three-game stretch against a very good Louisville team.

Brilliant Entrepreneur Steals Tom Brady’s Jersey To Sell It On eBay For 50k

I truly want to give this man credit. Stealing an article of clothing from a wildly successful quarterback to gain a massive profit is a brilliant idea. Anybody bitching and moaning about theft being a crime needs to tuck their panties in. Tom Brady is worth tens of millions of dollars, is married to a supermodel, and just won his fifth Super Bowl. He’s going to be just fine.

Carlos Alberto Garcia had the brilliant idea of stealing Tom Brady’s game-worn jersey and immediately followed that shrewd decision with the incredibly poor decision of posting about it on social media. You go from anonymous dude with a jersey that’s about to net you thousands of dollars to a guy wanted by the Texas Rangers with one click of a button.

You know what they say: Don’t press send.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick released an official statement about the jersey which, reminder, is simply an article of clothing.

Via NFL:

“In Texas we place a very high value on hospitality and football,” Patrick said in a statement released Monday. “Tom Brady’s jersey has great historical value and is already being called ‘the most valuable NFL collectable ever.’ It will likely go into the Hall of Fame one day. It is important that history does not record that it was stolen in Texas. I’ve called Colonel Steve McCraw to ask that the Texas Rangers work with the Houston Police Department on this case.

“I’m a Texans and Cowboys fan first, but the unquestionable success of the Super Bowl in Houston last night was a big win for our entire state and I don’t want anything to mar that victory. Whoever took this jersey should turn it in. The Texas Rangers are on the trail.”

The Texas Rangers are a major division within the Texas Department of Public Safety with lead criminal investigative responsibility for a number of crime and public corruption/integrity investigations. Similarly, NFL security is looking into the theft.

The guy committed a crime to make some serious money, only to throw it all away to get a couple likes on the ‘Gram.

Update: Garcia changed the Instagram caption to say that this is not the stolen jersey.

A Penn State University student from New Jersey tragically died due to injuries he sustained from a fall while at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity this past Friday, according to reports from the Centre Daily Times and MyCentralJersey. Another report actually states that the student suffered the fall on Thursday night, but the emergency services were not contacted until 10:49 A.M. EST on Friday, nearly 12 hours after the student fell down the steps at the fraternity house. The student was transported to by ambulance to the Mt. Nittany Medical Center Friday morning, and was later flown to the Hershey Medical Center, but was pronounced dead on Saturday morning. An autopsy will be performed by the county.

Timothy Piazza, 19, was a 2015 graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School in Readington Township. He was a pledge of the fraternity’s Alpha Upsilon Chapter. An investigation is continuing, and all social activities for the fraternity this past Saturday were canceled. It was also announced on Monday that all activities for the fraternity would be temporarily suspended during the investigation.

Piazza was studying engineering while attending the university. He also played football and track when he was in high school. He was a member of the homecoming court in 2014, and also served as a Red Devil ambassador at Hunterdon Center and on the school’s Teen Prevention Education Program. He did volunteer work to help teach children with special needs how to play sports such as football, basketball, and baseball.

Timothy’s older brother Michael is also a student at Penn State. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Piazza family during this extremely difficult time.

On paper, this game shouldn’t even be close. Kansas is the better team and everyone knows it, but guess what? That doesn’t matter in a rivalry game, especially one in which the Kansas State Wildcats get to play in front of their hostile home crowd tonight. Yes, football may be over until September, but that’s not something that a good rivalry game can’t cure for us sports fans. The #3 Kansas Jayhawks are heading to Manhattan, Kansas to take on their in-state rivals, the Kansas State Wildcats.

I don’t care that they’re coming off a loss to unranked Iowa State on Saturday, Kansas is one of the best teams in the country, and will be a favorite to cut down the nets in March. Two of their three losses have come over their last four games, but during the other two games in that stretch, they defeated two Top 10 teams in #4 Kentucky and #2 Baylor, respectively. Senior guard Frank Mason III has led the way for the Jayhawks all season by leading the team in scoring (20.4) and assists (5.2). He’s been the guy that makes this team go, and I expect him to have a big game tonight, much like he’s done all season. While tonight will definitely be a tough one for Kansas, you have to love their chances coming off a puzzling loss this past weekend. Still, they can’t look past this Wildcats team tonight.

Kansas State may have saved their season this past weekend by going on the road and upsetting #2 Baylor. The win was so significant because they were currently in the midst of a three-game losing streak, and lost five of their last seven games. Including the Baylor game, the Wildcats have a brutal three-game stretch with their matchup tonight against the Jayhawks, and then have to go on the road to take on West Virginia this weekend, but they seemed to get off to a good start with the win against Baylor. Kansas State narrowly beat Kansas earlier this year, but ultimately fell 90-88, so you’ve got to think that’s still in the back of their minds going into tonight’s game. I’d also imagine that their fans are going to be quite loud tonight as well, giving them some much-needed energy to feed off of. Do I think Kansas State is better than Kansas? No, I do not, but taking the momentum from their win against Baylor to go along with playing in front of their home crowd in a huge rivalry game, it’s tough to rule them out tonight. Guess we’ll have to see which Kansas State team shows up at 9:00 P.M. EST.

WWE Raw: Results, Live Updates & Highlights - Feb. 6, 2017

WWE

You’re not going to want to miss what happens tonight on Raw! Goldberg is returning to Portland to raise hell like he always does. Plus, Samoa Joe will be opening tonight’s event. Joe made his WWE debut last week, attacking and injuring Seth Rollins; effectively putting Rollins on the shelf for up to eight months. Rollins might be out of WrestleMania again this year. Dammit, Joe!

If Rollins is out, what is next for the Samoan Submission Machine? Joe’s already brought utter destruction to the shores of WWE. Who’s next? Goldberg? Probably not.

WWE Monday Night Raw Results

Stay tuned to find out what happens tonight’s on Monday Night Raw. We’ll be giving you live updates as they happen.

In-Ring Segment: Mick Foley & Stephanie McMahon call Samoa Joe down to the ring

Raw begins with authority figures Mick Foley & Stephanie McMahon standing in the ring. They call out Samoa Joe to the ring. Stephanie looks much more enthused by Joe’s presence. The fans chant, “you sold out” at Joe. Stephanie is bothered by Foley’s lack of enthusiasm.

Joe begins to cut a promo. He says it took him 18 years to get here, and if took putting Rollins on the shelf to make it here, then so be it. He puts the entire lockerroom on notice. “The destroyer has arrived, and there’s nothing you can do about it!”, says Joe before his signing his contract.

Foley extends a hand to Joe, and gets ignored. But then…Roman Reigns music hits!

Roman talks some serious trash. He gives Joe two choices, he’ll either shut him mouth or cave it in. Foley interjects himself into the conversation with another short, but intense promo. He announces Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe for later tonight.

Bayley vs. Nia Jax

Before the match: A Raw Women’s Championship match is announced for next week. On Febuary 13, 2017, Charlotte will defend her Raw Women’s Championship against the lovable Bayley.

Bayley got ragdolled by Nia for much of the match. But Bayley is a fighter, she had the big girl reeling quick a bit as well. Towards the end of the match, Bayley was well in the lead, Nia was flat on her back outside, and the referee was about to count her out. Before the referee could count 10, he got distracted by Charlotte walking down the entrance to the ring. She jumps up on the ring apron, and Bayley goes on the attack, and pulls The Queen into the ring. As Bayley is beating on Charlotte, she totally forgets Jax on the outside. Nia sneaks back in the ring and surprises Bayley. Jax lays out her smaller opponent with the Samoan Drop.

Nia Jax defeats Bayley

4-on-1 handicap match: Braun Stowman vs. 4 Jobbers (Dusty Wallace, James Stock, CC Bonin and Rob Pelley)

Strowman totally decimated all four men in this contest. One of his opponents even ran to the back because of the beating in the ring. Braun is a total beast! He made mincemeat out of everyone. One of his opponents, who kinda reminds me of CM Punk hit the big man, and only made him angrier. Strowman stacked all three men on top of each other and made the pin.

Braun Strowman is an absolute beast. Of course, he wins.

Post-match: Braun says that he’s going to the back to find Foley. 4-men are not enough. Braun tells Foley that he wants to fight everyone. Mick gives Strowman another appetizer at the next pay per view. At Fastlane, Braun Strowman will face off against Roman Reigns.

Akira Tozawa vs. Drew Gulak

Gulak held his own in this contest, but this match was more of a showcase for Akira Tozawa. Simply put, Akira is an amazing performer and has a solid future in the business. He’s very intense, and he’s charismatic without even saying a word on the mic. Hopefully, WWE puts better focus on their Cruiserweigt division. Either way, Tozawa is likely to be champ in a few months or less. He put a suplex-pin combo for the win.

Akira Tozawa defeats Drew Gulak

Post-match: Following Tozawa’s victory, Brian Kendrick entered the ring and shook Tozawa’s hand. Judging by that: Kendrick and Akira are likely to engage in a feud any week now.

In-Ring Segment: Kevin Owens & “Y2J” Chris Jericho

The crowd is really into Y2J. Chris puts 2017 Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady on the list! Jericho vs. Owens is teased for WrestleMania, but Kevin doesn’t think he’ll be about to fight his best friend. Jericho thought it’d be an epic encounter. Ko thinks that match can quite possibly be the best WrestleMania main event of all time. And then…Goldberg’s music hits.

Bill Goldberg enters the ring, and he accepts Brock Lesnar’s challenge for a match at WrestleMania. Jericho looks pissed off at Goldberg. KO doesn’t look too pleased either. Big bad bill wants a shot at the Universal Championship at WWE Fastlane. Jericho is about to put Goldberg on the list, but Bill grabs it from him, and writes his name on the list himself. Jericho looks furious. No one can write on the list, but him! Jericho never liked Goldberg…that’s why at Fastlane, Goldberg will face off against Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship. Y2J accepted for KO.

Backstage: KO is both upset and disappointed that Y2J just made that match for him at Fastlane. He didn’t ask what KO thought, whether he’d want that match or not. It looks like there’s some trouble in paradise. And no, not because of Kofi Kingston circa 2007-2014.

Breaking News: WWE Fastlane main event announced: WWE Universal Championship match: Kevin Owens (c) vs. Goldberg

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship match: Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Sheamus & Cesaro

The ever-popular tandem of Enzo & Big Cass will be sitting at ringside for this match.

Gallows & Anderson dominate their opponents early-on. Sheamus is laid out by a stiff kick from Luke Gallows. The tag champs are firmly in control as we go to commercial break.

We’re back from the break, and Anderson is in control of Cesaro or at least that’s why I thought. The Swiss Superman quickly fought back with uppercuts. But Karl was too much for Cesaro, and Anderson is back in control. But the whole complexion of the match changes when Sheamus gets tagged (literally and metaphorically). Sheamus dominates Anderson. He beats the crap out of him. Sheamus is a real bad ass.

Michael Cole announces that the winner of this match will have a future match with Enzo & Cass. Cesaro & Sheamus look like they’re about to regain the gold, but Gallows rushes to the ring and breaks up the 2 count. Luke goes back to the outside and kicks Enzo Amore in the face. Noice! Big Cass fires back with a boot. The referee rings for the bell.

Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson defeat Cesaro & Sheamus by disqualification

Emmalina makes her long-awaited debut on next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW

The New Day vs. The Shining Stars

Before the match, The New Day make fun of The Shining Stars’ timeshare travel pamphlets. They make reference to a potential New Day icecream and the crowd loves it!

When we come back from commercial break, the match is already under way. Big E is in control. Big E tosses Epico around left and right with belly-to-belly suplexes. The New Day totally dominate The Shining Stars. The match ends with The Midnight Hour finisher courtesy of Xavier Woods PhD.

The New Day defeat The Shining Stars

Backstage Interview Segment w/ Chris Jericho

Jericho is being interviewed backstage. He implies that things between Owens and himself are a little rocky at the moment, but they’re still best friends. Sometimes, friends have disagreements. KO arrives, and Jericho tells the interviewer to hit the bricks.

KO says that he’s no longer upset and he will beat Goldberg at Fastlane. They hug it out to end the segment.

Breaking News: The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express officially announced for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017

WWE United States Championship match: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Sami Zayn

Sami was a very tough opponent for Jericho. Zayn can really knock you on your ass. If KO wasn’t by ringside, he may have actually had a shot in this match. By the end of the match, Jericho has Sami squirming on his belly, locked in the Walls of Jericho. Zayn breaks free, but KO cracks him in the head with a stiff kick, while the referee is busy with Y2J. Jericho nails Sami with a codebreaker, and that’s all, folks!

Chris Jericho defeats Sami Zayn to retain his WWE United States Championship

In-Ring Segment: Austin Aries interviews WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville

Austin Aries in the ring, interviewing the devious champion Neville. They use this segment to plug tomorrow nights WWE 205 Live main event, which will be a fatal-five way to determine the #1 contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. The wrestlers competing for a shot at the title will be TJ Perkins, Tony Nese, Cedric Alexander, Noam Dar, and Jack Gallagher.

All the competitors in tomorrow’s five-way match comes down to the ring. Soon, a brawl breaks out. The champion Neville stands tall at the end of this segment.

Neville, Noam Dar, & Tony Nese vs. TJ Perkins, Jack Gallagher, & Cedric Alexander

An impromptu six-man tag team match is underway as we get back from commercial break. We got some raw, high-flying crusierweight action in the house once again! Neville abandoned his tag team partners towards the end of the match. “The King of the Cruiserweights” must think he’s too important to wrestle with the plebeians. Nese and Dar look ticked off. Perkins takes out Nese, and tags in fresh Alexander. Cedric finally got some revenge on Noam Dar for stealing his girlfriend Alicia Fox.

Cedric Alexander, TJ Perkins & Jack Gallagher defeats Noam Dar, Tony Nese & Neville

Main Event: Samoa Joe vs. Roman Reigns

Before the match gets started, Samoa Joe ambushes Reigns as he makes way to the ring. This is just like last week’s assault on Seth Rollins. Reigns should have been prepared for something like this. Joe is beating the crap out of Reigns, and The Guy is being torn apart. Joe hits Reigns with a running senton splash to Reigns on the outside. Roman looks beated up, and doesn’t look like he’s going to be able to compete. We go to probably the final commercial break of the night, as Reigns is still laid-out like a punk.

We’re back from commercial, and Joe is in control. Joe dominates most of this match, but then Reigns come back towards the middle of the match. Reigns looks like he’s going to win, but then out comes Braun Strowman. Braun climbs up on the apron and eats a superman punch to the face via Roman Reigns. The Guy turns around to a hungry Samoa Joe.

Samoa Joe defeats Roman Reigns

Post-match: Braun Strowman beats the crap outta Reigns right after the match. He drills Roman into the barricade with a running powerslam. Referees check on the fallen Reigns as Raw goes off the air.

Former High School Coach Who Had Sex With 13-Year-Old Claims She Doesn’t Remember It

Rebecca Noonan, a former soccer coach for Champlin Park High School, has pled guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old boy, although she claims not be responsible due to being under the influence.

Noonan, 33, of Minneapolis, pled guilty last week to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct after having sex with the boy in his Ramsey, Minnesota home in 2014 while his mother was away.

However, in her guilty plea, Noonan agreed in filled out a court questionnaire stating that she  “was so drunk or so under the influence of drugs or medicine that I did not know what I was doing at the time of the crime.”

Via Star Tribune:

Noonan’s acknowledgment came in what is called a Norgaard plea, which defendants make when contending that intoxication or amnesia prevents them from recalling what they are alleged to have done.

Her plea deal also allows for what is called a “stay of adjudication,” meaning that Noonan’s case will be dismissed if she meets all requirements demanded of her after sentencing. Currently, the court has ordered that Noonan undergo a psychosexual evaluation ahead of sentencing in April.

Plea deal or not, Noonan “really wanted to have her day in court,” said defense attorney Scott Lewis. “She has always maintained her innocence… It’s essentially an acquittal without the risk of a trial.”
Noonan’s lawyer Kirk Anderson said his client came to know the boy because she “knew the boy’s mother for a long time.” According to the charges, Noonan climbed in his bed naked and had sex with the unidentified boy, and then told the boy to keep the encounter secret, otherwise she could go to prison for a long time. Of course, the boy told his siblings what happened and asked them not to tell anyone.
Noonan, who became head coach at Champlin Park in 2012, is no longer coaching at the school and no longer has any other duties at the high school or in the district.
