When I first clicked on this video of a family driving through a wildlife park, I thought I knew for sure where things were heading. I assumed these two lions were going to make sweet, passionate love, and the family was going to awkwardly make excuses to their kid about what was happening. I’ve been down that road a million times before in my blogging days. But man, oh man, was I ever wrong.

That was the greatest twist since the revealing of Keyser Söze at the end of The Usual Suspects. Those poor, poor parents. That was a metric ton of vomit, and I could practically smell it coming through my computer screen. I think I’d rather walk out of my car and meet my grisly demise than clean that mess up. Just let Mufasa and Sarabi rip me from limb to limb and call it a life.

It hasn’t even been two weeks since the election and we all thought the mayhem was over but, of course, we were dead wrong. Remember the controversy of that white/gold/black/blue/rainbow colored dress? The one that had everyone divided and unable to decipher colors? Well, it’s back. But this time with a vengeance… It seems to have evolved like a damn Pokémon and turned itself into some mysteriously colored flip flops.

Now, I don’t know what you all see… I still think I see a white and gold color scheme that I WOULD NEVER WEAR, just throwing that out there.

1. Resident Evil 2 Remake

The frustration for a Resident Evil 2 remake is more than understandable. It’s frustrating. Despite being a higher commercial success than its predecessor- a remastered version hasn’t yet hit the market. (And no, sorry, that rail shooter does not count) RE2 was first released on the Sony Playstation in 1998 so it’s not surprising to know more than one remake project were in production. Of all the canceled projects Capcom went after, this one was featured because it appears to be the closest to completion. That and this nifty ability to change the camera angle to Resident Evil 4‘s over-the-shoulder style.

2. M.U.G.E.N.

M.U.G.E.N. was any fighting fan’s dream until recently when the community website was shut down. Created back in 1999 and packed with a roster of thousands of fictional characters, M.U.G.E.N. was one of the most popular fan-made games and the oldest. No matter how clunky the animations appeared, the sheer bet of who would win was simply fantastic. Thank you M.U.G.E.N. for the memory of Magento perishing under Phoenix Wright.

3. Sonic Utopia

Nobody expected something like Sonic Utopia. Fans have felt cursed since the dark days of Sonic 06. All hope seemed lost and then BAM. A beautiful open world with hills, ramps, and good controls? What is this!? The beta was released to universal praise for its strong sense of nostalgia and its minimal technical issues. I’ve personally played Sonic Utopia and I gotta say, it felt like a reunion. This fan-made love letter created by the fans for their fellow dedicated players is still available, so treat yourself.

4. Metroid Return of Samus

The last major role of Samus Aran was in 2010 and it left more than just a bitter taste with fans. It only got worse after a nonexistent 30-year anniversary celebration. Yet fans still loved Metroid and plans for a Metroid II remake were set under the title Return of Samus. The aim was simple: bring better graphics and gameplay to a fan favorite title. Although the project was near completion, it was unfortunately canceled after a beta release. Return of Samus not only promised to bring a refined, better experience but new areas and an updated soundtrack.

5. Pokemon Uranium

Just like with Return of Samus, Pokemon Uranium was shut down shortly after it was released. This nine-year-old project was packed with new content including 150 new (fake) Pokemon, a nuclear type, and even some dark situations, one being the death of the characters. Another interesting addition was that of starter Pokemon being determinable by test results. Whatever the consensus, Pokemon Uranium would have been a very interesting take on the Pokemon universe.

Late night talk show host James Corden has his next guest lined up for his mega hit segment “Carpool Karaoke,” and it just so happens to be superstar singer Bruno Mars. Here are my thoughts on this news: LET’S F*CKING GO.

He’s only been doing his talk show for almost two years now, but I absolutely love James Corden. I find him to be extremely talented, and easily one of the top three talk show hosts going today (For the record, it’s Corden, Kimmel, and Fallon at the top of the list, in my opinion). His show is great, and he has a variety of different hit segments, but “Carpool Karaoke” is an absolute game changer. With the exception of the abysmal Britney Spears showing (which was  her fault, not Corden’s), every celebrity he’s had for the segment has been a home run. From One Direction to Adele to Justin Bieber, he hits every one of these out of the park. I love “Carpool Karaoke” and I love James Corden, but the only thing I may love more than James Corden is Bruno Mars.

Bruno Mars is the man, no other way to put it. Try and find just one bad song of his. Oh, wait you can’t? That’s because each and every song of his is a certified fire jam. Both of his Super Bowl Halftime performances were the definition of electricity. He has the voice of an angel and dance moves that are incapable of being owned by any other living human. So yeah, I’m a Bruno Mars fan.

I’ve talked with my friends about how this was the one guy I wanted to see on “Carpool Karaoke” and I guess the entertainment gods (or in this case, head guys at CBS) heard my wish and made it come true. I’m not sure when the segment will air, but it will be must-watch television for all to see.

EPIC. In a truly shocking move, Netflix has announced that Dave Chappelle is bringing an all-new stand-up special to the platform “soon.” In fact, the streaming platform  announced THREE new Chappelle specials:

This comes on the heels of Chappelle’s remarkably well-received Saturday Night Live appearance, especially his 10-minute-long monologue/stand-up routine about Donald Trump, ISIS, and America as a whole.

According to Vulture, Netflix’s order includes one all-new performance to be produced by the service and two never-before-seen specials from Chappelle’s “personal comedy vault.” Sounds legit.

Interestingly enough, the logo of Chappelle’s Show is in the bottom left corner of the promotional image. While we are not sure exactly what Chappelle will be doing for Netflix, we are certain of one thing: we absolutely CANNOT wait. The Cowboys would go on to defeat the Ravens 27-17 to extend their record to an NFL-best 9-1. Jesus, Dak Prescott, and Ezekiel Elliott might currently be deadlocked in a three-way tie for Dallas’ most beloved savior.

You know a team is balling when your players are angry about HOW they’re scoring touchdowns. Like, they know they’re gonna score, but they want to score dopely. Gotta respect it. Besides, at this point the Seahawks are the co-favorites in the NFC as they run away with the NFC West.

My best bet is that Doug Baldwin plays fantasy football and owns himself in his leagues. In fantasy, passing touchdowns are only four points compared to receiving touchdowns which count for six. Otherwise, he was just being salty for no reason, so fantasy football is probably his most relatable excuse.

Chandler said he was fed up with the political system and decided to go to bed on election night without finding out. He intended to find out who won the next morning, but when he woke up Chandler said he felt so peaceful he decided to wait until the afternoon. A few hours turned into a week.

“Having subtracted myself from this political fracas and all of the mayhem of the digital media, I kind of found the center of the cyclone, it is very peaceful in my bubble of ignorance,” said Chandler.

Chandler works from home and said he has stayed away from televisions, newspapers and social media. When he does go out, which is seldom, he wears headphones and a sign that says “I don’t know who won and don’t want to. Please don’t tell me.”

Bill Walton is truly one of a kind. There are plenty of old-school California hippies, but among them, only Walton holds the distinction of also being one of the greatest college basketball players of all time.

Walton is basically the Gary Busey of sports announcers. Listen to him call a basketball game and you’ll either be like me and love his random pontifications and abstract metaphors, or you’ll want to throw your TV out of the window.

But even if you’re not a fan of his style, you have to admit college basketball wouldn’t be nearly the same without this bizarre character.

And as I write this, Walton is making his season debut at the Maui Invitational. It didn’t take long for him to show that he’s already in midseason form.

Mohamed had been arrested previously for his plan, but only after the Eastern District of New York unsealed his court documents did people actually learn the crimes he had been charged with.

Who Is Mohamed Rafik Naji?

Mohamed Naji is a 37-year-old Yemen citizen who came to the United States. He was arrested in Brooklyn for planning a terrorist attack in one of New York City’s most populated areas: Times Square. He wanted to recreate a scene that was all too familiar to people who remembered the Nice, Frace attacks. That Bastille Day attack left 86 people dead and over 400 injured.

But before he had been recorded talking about his Times Square attack, the FBI and the federal government had started following him because he had previously pledged his allegiance to ISIS on social media.

Mohamed has a wife who he talked with about the difficulty he was having trying to contact ISIS while he was in Turkey. TheDailyBeast writes that he allegedly told his wife that “It’s very hard to get in [to ISIS] I’m on my 5 try. Its mad difficult mad pop pop military and people here very scared.”

What Happened?

The FBI alleges that between March 16, 2015 and September 12, 2015, Naji travelled overseas to places like Yemen and Turkey, to get in contact with ISIS. His time there was rough and after being unsuccessful in trying to get in contact with ISIS troops, he returned to JFK International Airport a couple thousand dollars poorer, more determined to join, and on a federal watch list.

While he was in Yemen, a confidential human source (CHS) started talking to Naji via Facebook. They continued their chats about ISIS and joining the caliphate once Naji returned home. The two kept in contact through July 19, 2016 which is when they started to talk about planning an attack in Times Square, just five days after the attack in Nice.

Thousands of alleged pedophile and child p0rn0graphy Twitter accounts have been discovered today on social media, says Anonews.co, a hacktivist website. The mass discovery took place earlier Monday morning, when multiple users starting sending their findings to 0hour, an active member of Anonymous. Anonews reports that 0hour then compiled the names and Twitter accounts into an easy-to-read list, tweeted it, and tagged the FBI, Twitter and Disney, giving the authorities everything they needed to shut the ring down.

Just another day in hacktivism, right? Bust a ring of pedophiles, tag them on social media, and let the government do its job. Except, that’s not what happened.

0hour claims that while he was just trying to help the Twitter and the FBI do their jobs, his Twitter account was banned from the social media site. Furthermore, many of the social media accounts he called into question were allowed to remain on Twitter, causing a huge uproar on 4chan and various other message boards. Thus began #TwitterGate or #PizzaGate (because some forums choose to use the words “cheese pizza” as another word for CP).

In addition to the fact that human beings are upset that anyone is posting CP, Conservative Twitter users are ultra-pissed that conservative voices are being banned on Twitter but pedophiles aren’t.

21-year-old Hanna Krueger of Glencoe, Missouri was trying to tear up Bistro 63 at the Monkey Bar last Thursday. But Hanna had some trouble getting into the Amherst, Massachusetts bar when a bouncer wouldn’t accept a slice of pizza as a form of identification. Here’s the Daily Hampshire Gazette with the scoop:

Around 12:16 a.m., police had been summoned to the bar when another woman was asked to show her ID to the doorman, and instead attempted to present a slice of pizza. After being informed that pizza was not a valid means of gaining entry to the establishment, the woman slapped the doorman in the face, according to police, and was issued a trespass notice to stay away from the location.

Krueger was charged with disorderly conduct, which seems a little harsh to me. As far as I’m concerned, if you have the judgment skills to procure a delicious slice of pizza, you should be deemed capable to drink alcohol. Getting a late night slice to soak up that booze is a veteran move. On the strength of that decision alone, the bouncer should have been able to realize this wasn’t her first rodeo.

Somebody needs to put Hanna in contact with that naked dude who tried to rob a pizzeria ASAP. I’ve got a hunch these two pizza enthusiasts would really hit it off.
