The 2016 Golden Globes are finally here, and host Ricky Gervais is starting it off right: with a beer in hand and a ton of offensive jokes. Singling out Caitlyn Jenners, Jennifer Lawrence, and his three Golden Globe awards – one of which he does nasty, nasty things to – audience members were less than thrilled (especially Jane Fonda, who couldn’t shake that scowl off her face for the life of her).

So basically, this is going to be awesome.

Ricky Gervais started out the 2016 Golden Globes as one would expect: getting hammered while insulting everyone in the room. Genius!

The controversial host started by singling out Caitlyn Jenner – commenting on her highly-publicized transition and the fact that she does not help the “women are awful drivers” stereotype – and Jennifer Lawrence, who recently made headlines for demanding equal pay to that of her male co-stars. While Lawrence took the comments in stride, we have a feeling viewers will have a lot to say about Gervais’ string of “interesting” gay jokes.

Before the broadcast, Gervais was warned about pushing boundaries with his jokes and while on the red carpet revealed to Ryan Seacrest there were about 10 bits he was banned from doing at the show. Fingers crossed he lets them slide anyway.

Matt Damon took home the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and while we think he was fully deserving of it (that movie was awesome), we’re still confused as to why anyone would think some dude being trapped on Mars would be funny.

Like, isn’t that pretty f*cking dramatic? Dude had to ration out his food, space suits, and try to get in contact with people back on Earth without sending a smoke signal. Sounds pretty traumatizing to us… but whatever you’re into, Hollywood.

The actor – who Ricky Gervais targeted earlier on in the show for being the only person Ben Affleck has ever been faithful to – walked up to the stage to thank his super hot wife and kids.

We would’ve thrown a shoutout to Ben Affleck, but that’s just us.

When we saw Jamie Lee Curtis’s Golden Globe date, we needed to know who she was.

The Scream Queens star brought her daughter Annie Guest with her to the awards show, and she stunned in a tight white dress. So what do you need to know about the beauty, other than she is a full-on knockout?

Well, she’s a dance teacher who works for MNR Dance Factory. From her bio on their site: “She has taught at Archer School for Girls, Paul Revere Middle School, and Windward School. Annie is Co-Director of the award-winning MNR DF dance team and teaches Ballet, Jazz/Contemporary, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, and Hip-Hop.”

She also graduated from from Kenyon College with A BFA in Dance, so to say she’s talented would be an understatement. It would also be an understatement to say she’s kind of flexible.

And as Curtis often proclaims on her personal Instagram account, she’s beautiful and talented. Just in case you’re still not convinced, we have more evidence:

Ricky Gervais proved he had no fear tonight when he introduced Mel Gibson after offending the sh*t out of him in shows’ past. Based on that insanely awkward five minutes, Gibson is not over it.

Introducing Gibson, Gervais said: ” “I want to say something nice about Mel before he comes out. Here we go. I’d rather have a drink with him in his hotel room tonight than Bill Cosby.”

As soon as he walked onstage, you could tell the actor was pissed. “I love seeing Ricky once every three years because it reminds me to get a colonoscopy.” Gervais rook the bait and embraced the confrontation, walking back onto the stage and eventually putting his arm around the crazy actor.

“Can I ask you a question? I think we all want to ask you this.” He then whispered in Mel’s ear.

Unfortunately the later comments were censored, leaving viewers trying really hard to read lips. But based on the reactions of audience members – like Alan Cumming, who covered his mouth in shock – things got pretty ugly.

Luckily, like most things in life, Twitter had the answer:

Gibson awkwardly responded with “Ask the guy who said it… it wasn’t me.”

Ummm…. not according to this.

The first time Gervais hosted the award show, he had no problem attacking big names, and number one on his hit list was Mel Gibson. In his first joke, he stated, “I like a drink as much as the next man … unless the next man is Mel Gibson.”

The following year he struck again, with the punchline, “Our first presenter is beautiful, talented … and Jewish, apparently. Mel Gibson told me that. He’s obsessed.”

So really, Gervais was asking for it. I’m surprised Gibson didn’t clock him square in the face. How entertaining would that have been if he did?

UPDATE: Gervais took one more stab at Mel Gibson before the show ended – “Shalom, from me and Mel Gibson!”

Jennifer Lawrence just won Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and we can’t say we’re surprised.

Hollywood’s sweetheart – and one of the hottest actresses currently in the industry (we mean that both literally and figuratively) – Lawrence won for her role as a single mother turned millionaire entrepreneur in Joy.

The synopsis is a little chick flick-like, but Lawrence is reason enough to see it.

A story of a family across four generations, centered on the girl who becomes the woman (Jennifer Lawrence) who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. Facing betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love, Joy becomes a true boss of family and enterprise. Allies become adversaries and adversaries become allies, both inside and outside the family, as Joy’s inner life and fierce imagination carry her through the storm she faces.

Will she also win the Oscar? We’re guessing yes on this one.

The Martian just took home the award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and WTF HOW IS THIS A FUNNY MOVIE?!

Let’s just break this down for a second – Matt Damon is presumed dead after a fierce space storm, except he’s not dead, he’s well and alive, and trying to stick it out on a foreign planet because his team left him there.

In what world is that funny? Compared to movies like Trainwreck – which had a comedienne as the main star – and Spy, The Martian seems totally out of place.

But whatever. Matt Damon also won Best Actor for the film.

Brie Larson may not be a Hollywood newcomer, but she’s rather new to the public eye after her epic role in Room.

Her role proved so noteworthy that Larson took home the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama.

It is getting to that time of year again where the NFL Draft becomes one of the biggest stories around the sports world. The college football season is ending and the NFL playoffs are already underway meaning plenty of teams are already working on which players to take when the draft begins in Chicago on April 28. The top ten picks in the draft should see some of the stars of this year’s college season fly off the board very quickly. Here is a look at how the top ten could look in late April…..

Abigail Lee Kemp, a pretty hot jewel thief suspected of five robberies, was arrested by the FBI over the weekend in Georgia.

Authorities believe that Abigail, an amateur model who posed for at least one photo shoot back in 2012, stuck up multiple jewelry stores in multiple southern states. As early as last year she was a waitress at Twin Peaks, the same restaurant chain that was the scene of the deadly biker shootout in Waco, TX. You can see one of Abigail’s photo shoot photos below:

It’s believed that Abigail’s first robbery was at Jared’s Vault in Woodstock, GA where she pretended to be an innocent bystander when an armed black man entered the store. Soon, however, she stood up and acted as the lookout when he started emptying the display cases.

After that, Abigail’s spree continued to at least five other stores:

Aug. 11 in Panama City Beach, Fla
Sept. 2 in Bluffton, S.C.
Oct. 16 in Sevierville, Tenn.
Dec. 30 in Macon (failed robbery attempt after a customer entered the store)
Jan. 4 in Mebane, N.C.

During some of those robberies, her accomplice was present. During others, she acted alone. Each time she was seen armed with a handgun.

The College Football Championship is finally here and after the game is over, both Clemson and Alabama fans are going to be pretty drunk and rowdy. The only difference is that one group will be celebrating, the others will be crying and yelling.

Two rappers named Kevin Flum and Indy have “gone all” in with a viral 30-second freestyle hyping up the Tigers ahead of College Football Championship tonight. The video itself has been shared and retweeted in numbers up in the hundreds of thousands.

We’re not so sure that these two are actually Clemson fans and we believe that the two just came up with an awesome marketing idea ahead of their show in Clemson this week. We could be wrong.

Either way, the lyrics are straight fire.

Luis Enrique has won The Ballon d’or for Coach of The Year, according to FIFA. However, according to ESPN, the Barcelona boss did not even attend the awards ceremony.

In his first season as coach of Barcelona, Luis Enrique’s debut on the Nou Camp bench couldn’t have gone any better. A former midfielder, who played eight  years with the club as a player, guided the club to a treble last season.

It’s a sad day today. Not only has music icon David Bowie passed away after an 18-month battle with cancer, but we also found out that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is off the market.
