Tesla Sues Former Employee For Allegedly Trying To ‘Sabotage’ The Company

Martin Tripp is the former Tesla employee who is being sued by the company. Tesla accuses Tripp of hacking the automaker’s computer systems and stealing company secrets.

According to the lawsuit, Tripp allegedly tried to sabotage the company because he was angry about not getting promoted.

Court records say that within a few months of being hired, Tripp was accused of being disruptive and combative with colleagues and was assigned a new role in May 2018. The lawsuit alleges that Tripp was angry about the reassignment, prompting him to hack Tesla.

According to The Washington Post, Tripp maintains that he did not tamper with internal systems and is instead a whistleblower who spoke out after seeing “some really scary things” inside the company, including dangerously punctured batteries installed in cars.

via The Washington Post:

Tesla attorneys wrote in their lawsuit that Tripp, a former technician at the company’s Gigafactory battery plant in Nevada, wrote software to aid in an elaborate theft of confidential photos and video of Tesla’s manufacturing systems. The firm’s attorneys said Tripp worked at Tesla from October to last week, when company investigators confronted him with evidence.

Tripp, attorneys wrote, also gave journalists false information about the company, including claims that defective batteries had been used in Tesla’s Model 3 sedans. The company did not respond to requests for comment.

Speaking Wednesday night to The Post, Tripp confirmed that he provided information to Business Insider for a story the news website did earlier this month about the company’s raw-material waste.

Tripp claims to have found “hundreds” of Model 3s that had “punctured batteries.” However, Tesla representatives have said they would not ship cars that have safety concerns.

In their lawsuit, Tesla specifically cites the “punctured batteries” claim as an example of the misinformation that they believe Tripp shared.

Michael Rosfeld, 30, has been identified as the East Pittsburgh officer who fatally shot 17-year-old Antwon Rose.

Rosfeld is on paid leave while Allegheny County homicide detectives investigate the death of Rose.

Rose, 17, was shot three times and killed after he allegedly ran away from a traffic stop. Rose was a student at Woodland Hills High School last year.

According to WTAE, Rosfeld was sworn in hours before the shooting on the night of Tuesday, June 19. He previously worked for the Oakmont and University of Pittsburgh police departments.
Police say that while an East Pittsburgh Police Department officer was handcuffing the driver of the vehicle, two male passengers — one of which was Rose — ran from the car.

Rosefeld then shot and killed Rose despite the fact that he did not have a weapon on him. Rose did not have a weapon on him and was shot three times.

viaa Allegheny County Police:

Information on the vehicle that fled the North Braddock scene was put out over the air for neighboring police departments to assist/respond.

An East Pittsburgh police officer saw a vehicle matching the description on Grandview Avenue which also had ballistics damage to the rear window. The officer stopped the vehicle near Grandview and Howard Street in East Pittsburgh. The officer took the driver into custody.

While he was putting the driver into handcuffs, two other occupants ran from the car. One individual – a 17-year-old male – was shot by police. He was transported to McKeesport Hospital where he was declared deceased.

After being shot, Rose was taken to McKeesport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said two firearms were found in the car Rose fled from. The investigation is currently ongoing.

Michael Rosfeld via Facebook

Duquense Mayor Nickole Nsby wrote about Rose on Facebook, saying “He volunteered for me as well. He prepared excel spreadsheets and scheduled for our Movies in the Park on Friday’s. My heart is broken.”

As for the suspect police arrested, his name has not been released and it is not known what charges he is facing.

Melania Trump visited immigrant children in Texas on Thursday, June 21, in the midst of the controversy regarding camps that kids are being held in after being separated from their families. But rather than being a positive PR move, Melania’s choice of jacket was the hot topic.

The first lady made a bizarre choice to wear a jacket which read “I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?” while boarding a plane at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland.

Twitter immediately took notice and the backlash began to come.

Trump publicist Stephanie Grisham responded to the controversy with a statement which read: “I’d hope you guys would want to cover her visit with children today. It’s a jacket. There was no hidden message. After today’s important visit to Texas, I hope the media isn’t going to choose to focus on her wardrobe. (Much like her high heels last year).”

With the 2018 NBA Draft set to take place on Thursday, June 21, get to know Mirjam Poterbin. Mirjam is the mother of top NBA Draft prospect Luka Doncic, the 19-year-old sensation from Real Madrid who is set to be one of the top picks when the draft begins at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Doncic is considered to be one of the best European prospects of all-time, but his mom is going to be generating some attention, too.

Throughout his entire career, Doncic’s mother has been one of his biggest supporters.

“I think that Luka was born with it,” she said in an interview with EuroHoops.net. “Ever since he started walking, when he was one year old, he was playing with a ball in his hands. He was doing all types of sports. He liked soccer a lot but was too tall to play. As I said, I think that Luka was born to play basketball.”

According to Slam, Mirjam was a hurdler, dancer, and model. Doncic’s father, Sasa, was a longtime professional basketball player in Europe.

Simply put, Mirjam is a dime, and she’s poised to be one of the breakout stars from draft night.

Mirjam is a former hurdler, model, dancer, and currently the owner of a “prestigious beauty salon” in Ljubljana. His father, Sasa Doncic, is a former professional basketball player and coach who played in the Slovenian League and EuroLeague.

If you follow Mirjam on social media, it doesn’t take long to realize she is one of her son’s biggest supporters.

Luka Doncic Broke Up With His Girlfriend Just Days Before The NBA Draft Like A True Savage

Anamaria Goltes is the girlfriend, or should we say former girlfriend, of 2018 NBA Draft prospect Luka Doncic. Doncic, one of the top picks in the 2018 NBA Draft, was considered to be one of the most complete European prospects to ever enter the NBA.

According to various sports blogs, Doncic and Goltes broke up in June 2018, just days before Doncic was drafted into the NBA. While nothing official was announced, the two stopped following each other on social media and deleted all their photos together.

Prior to their break up, Doncic and Goltes had been dating since 2016. Goltes is a model and has modeled for a brand called Lisca, which is a Slovenian lingerie company.

A source told SportsGossip that “judging by their profiles on Instagram, the former lovers do not follow each other anymore, and Anamaria has deleted all of their shared photos.”

Doncic, born February 28, 1999, is a Slovenian professional basketball player who played for Real Madrid of the Liga ACB and EuroLeague before entering the NBA. At just 19-years-old, Doncic became the youngest recipient of the EuroLeague MVP and EuroLeague Final Four MVP awards.

Dončić was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to his father Saša Dončić, a basketball coach and former player with experience in the Slovenian League and EuroLeague, and his mother Mirjam Poterbin is a former hurdler, model, and dancer.

For international competition, Doncic represents the Slovenian national team.

Jameis Winston Suspended 3 Games For Violating NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy

Jameis Winston has been suspended for the first three games of the 2017-18 NFL regular season. On Thursday, June 21, the National Football League announced that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback will miss the first three games of the year for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Adam Schefter of ESPN was first to report the news.

“The Winston camp is prepared for the NFL to levy a suspension of some kind,” ESPN Tallahassee radio host Jeff Cameron said earlier in the week. “The thought from the Winston camp is that would be a maximum of three games. I do not know at this time whether or not they plan to appeal, and I do not know that three games is an accurate number. I’ve been told that would seem to be the maximum number of games that the suspension could be. It’s also likely that it’s less than that and it’s one game.”

Schefter adds:

Jameis Winston would lose $124,000 in base salary for 3-game suspension with 2017 salary at $705,000; salary for next season scheduled to be $20.9 million, reducing the chance that Winston would consider appealing this suspension and dragging it out.

The suspension stems from an Uber incident that occurred nearly two years ago. The reports indicated that Winston grabbed an Uber driver’s crotch while waiting to pick up food from the drive-thru of a Mexican restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Winston has adamantly denied the accusations.

This is a developing story. More information will be added as it becomes available.

Charles Krauthammer, Pulitzer Prize winner, Harvard graduate, Fox News Contributor, and best-selling author, has died at the age of 68. He had succumbed to cancer.

Krauthammer had been paralyzed from the neck down after a diving board accident during his first year at Harvard Medical School. Krauthammer severed his spinal cord at C5 in the accident.

After 14 months of recovery, Krauthammer returned to medical school and become a psychiatrist involved in the creation of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders III.

Following college, Krauthammer began a career as a columnist and political commentator when he started writing a weekly editorial for The Washington Post. In addition, Krauthammer was a weekly panelist on PBS news program Inside Washington from 1990 until 2013.

During his career, Krauthammer was also a contributing editor to The Weekly Standard, a Fox News contributor, and was a panelist on Fox New’s Special Report with Bret Baier.

via Fox News:

His death had been expected after he wrote a heartbreaking letter to colleagues, friends and viewers on June 8 that said in part “I have been uncharacteristically silent these past ten months. I had thought that silence would soon be coming to an end, but I’m afraid I must tell you now that fate has decided on a different course for me…

“Recent tests have revealed that the cancer has returned. There was no sign of it as recently as a month ago, which means it is aggressive and spreading rapidly. My doctors tell me their best estimate is that I have only a few weeks left to live. This is the final verdict. My fight is over.”

In recent years, Krauthammer was best known for his nightly appearance as a panelist on Fox News’ “Special Report with Bret Baier” and as a commentator on various Fox news shows.

Twitter/NBATV

Wendell Carter Jr. stole the show at the 2018 NBA Draft on Thursday, June 21, with his impeccable style. The Duke big man showed up to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with a look inspired by the Marvel hit movie Black Panther. Carter’s family also joined in on the fun.

“I saw a ‘Black Panther’ commercial, saw he had something wrapped around the top of his suit, so I was like, ‘Might as well try it out,’” Carter said on the red carpet before the draft.

This was what inspired Wendell Carter’s sharp look.

And just in case you didn’t pick up on the inspiration for his look, Carter made sure to throw up the “Wakanda Forever” salute as he took the stage with his parents.

He even discussed the standout look before stepping into the Barclays Center.

That’s one way to steal the show.

Now, he will be taking his talents to Chicago where he will look to make the Bulls a force in the Eastern Conference once again.

Police were called to the Kappa Alpha Order house in the 300 block of East Church Street at Miami University due to a reported burglary.

Reports indicate that police were contacted by the person who is in charge of the fraternity house during the school’s summer break. That person who had been notified of the robbery by the property management firm that oversees the house.

My Dayton Daily News reports that police were shown video of someone entering the house using the proper combination at 2:30 a.m. on June 2.

Surveillance video from the fraternity showed an unidentified man walking around the house, attempting to turn on the television. The police report says that when the TV did not turn on, the suspect is seen in the video “stabbing the TV with the remote control”, which caused damage to it.

Furthermore, an additional video that was taken at 2:20 a.m. on June 3  shows two men enter the house using the front door combination code and then “stuffing the kitchen sink drains with paper towels and turning on the water” causing water damage to the floor and some to the downstairs area.

University police say they believe that one of the two suspects seen on the June 3 surveillance video is the same person from the TV incident the previous night.

After sending a photo of the suspect to were told to Kappa Alpha members, police say that they believe it to be a person expected to return for his senior year at Miami University this upcoming fall.

Jessica Eye has been with the UFC since October 2013. The Cleveland, Ohio native has had an up-and-down career inside of the octagon, including a brutal 1-5 stretch from 2014 through 2016. Following her fourth loss in a row, Eye went on a nearly two-year hiatus before returning on January 2018 in a new division.

In her return to the cage and the flyweight division, Eye scored a split-decision win over Kalindra Faria to extend her record to 12-6 (1 NC). Now, she will be looking to put together the start of a winning streak when she faces Jessica-Rose Clark at UFC Fight Night 132 in Singapore.

Rejuvenated in her return to 125-pounds, Eye is feeling more confident than ever.

“All of those bantamweight fights I lost, remember something: They were all by decision,” she said, via Yahoo! Sports. “No one went out there and demolished me and held me down and beat me up. It’s never been that way. Had I been more evenly matched, I think it’s pretty obvious what would have happened.”

The 31-year-old flyweight trains out of Strong Style Fight Team, a gym that is also home to UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic. With a big win over Clark and two wins in a row at 125-pounds, “Evil” could soon find herself eyeing a title shot.

UFC Fight Night 132 takes place Saturday, June 23.
