Hurricane Harvey has downgraded to a tropical storm, but not before causing serious havoc all throughout southeast Texas. The region has been hit with heavy flooding that has potential to threaten the lives of many people, at least 20 people have died and many more have reportedly been injured.

Meteorologists predict even more heavy rainfall in the days to come. They are predicting roughly 50 inches of rain by Wednesday. So far, Houston has seen 25 inches of rain within two days time. Other areas have been flooded with 20 inches of liquid. Meanwhile, Mary’s Creek at Winding Road just broke a new record! The town received the most recorded rainfall ever in a tropical storm with 49.20 inches of rain overall. The previous record was 48 inches.

Some people are panicking in the storm as rescue boats arrive. Clyde Cain, of the Cajun Navy, a Louisiana-based rescue force is on the scene , assisting and evacuating people. “They’re making it difficult for us to rescue them,” he said. “You have people rushing the boat. Everyone wants to get in at the same time. They’re panicking. Water is rising.”

Cain described the level of tension and danger that goes beyond heavy force winds and flooding. Some boats are under attack by desperate people. He said, “We have boats being shot at if we’re not picking everybody up. We’re having to pull out for a minute. We’re dropping an air boat right now to go rescue a couple of our boats that broke, and they’re kind of under attack.”

At least 5,500 people have sought shelter in Houston, while 1,000 people have found shelters in Friendswood. Federal officials predict that the storm will send 30,000 people into shelters and spur 450,000 victims.

The August 2017 Nintendo Direct has come and gone but Nintendo has announced some brand new indie titles that you’ll be playing on your Nintendo Switch in the near future! Revealing over 15 games during the 23 minute broadcast, Nintendo is bringing independent developers from around the globe to create fresh and exciting content for the Switch’s growing library.

From surprise announcements to some quirky, interesting titles Nintendo is pulling out all the stops to make the Nintendo Switch the home for independent games.

Here is our list of the Top 5 titles announced during the Direct:

1. Super Meat Boy Forever

Team Meat

Kicking off the Nindie showcase was the reveal of Super Meat Boy Forever, the sequel to the beloved Super Meat Boy form Team Meat. Coming in 2018, this hardcore side-scrolling platformer will bring all the nail biting jumps and countless deaths to the Nintendo Switch. No release date besides “Early 2018” has been provided at this time.

2. Shovel Knight: King of Cards

Yacht Club Games

Concluding the epic saga of the Shovel Knight games, Yacht Club Games brings the final chapter, Shovel Knight: King of Cards, to the Nintendo Switch when it launches early next year. Featuring the refined platforming mechanics of the original games, Shovel Knight: King of Cards will also feature a brand new card game featuring the games iconic characters.

3. No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

Suda 51 returns to direct the next installment in the No More Heroes franchise. Featuring lovable sleazebag, Travis Touchdown, and his nemesis The Bat; No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again will follow the two as they are stuck in a game console and must battle their way out through six different game worlds. The trailer shows off Hotline Miami in the background which hints at one of the worlds we could be playing in!

4. Battle Chef Brigade

Adult Swim Games

From the brilliant minds at Adult Swim Games and Trinket Studios comes this one part side-scrolling action game and one part cooking game called Battle Chef Brigade. As players play as either a orc, elf, or human they must battle enemies to collect ingredients to cook meals to survive. This quirky and violent action game looks to be a great addition to the Switch’s library.

5. Morphies Law

Nintendo has always had some policies on the shooters they release on their consoles, never wanting to expose potential child players to extreme violence they look for other ways to make shooters more friendly for all players (see Splatoon). This new game from Cosmoscope seems to do just that while keeping true to the shooter nature. Rather than shooting to kill, you are shooting to gain mass from other players. Honestly… you just gotta watch the trailer on this one if you want to fully understand it.

Legend Football League coach Chris Michaelson has a storied history of meltdowns. It’s what drives the ratings besides the fact that there’s women in lingerie playing football. Michaelson has a lot of attitude, and hopes that his ruthless aggression rubs off on the ladies when they take the field. Here’s a guy that doesn’t pull punches and he’ll scream in your face and tell you it’s for your own good.

This guy Michaelson would work very well as a drill instructor. Perhaps, there’s a role open for him in any potential remake of Full Metal Jacket. Either way, getting yelled isn’t all that bad if you’re receiving a nice paycheck in the mail….oh wait…none of the players from the LFL receive a salary for their work on the field. They don’t receive a single cent. Actually, they have to pay a $45 registration fee each year. And…no medical coverage whatsoever. Bummer, ladies.

The Seattle Mist is the poor team that has to put up with all of Chris Michaelson’s sh*t. They were even winning 20-6 in the Western Conference Championship. But despite the lead, Michaelson still decided to lay into his team like there was no tomorrow. He didn’t want his gals to slip up. So, he nearly blew a gasket.

Well, coach Chris Michaelson’s pep-talk paid off, as the Seattle Mist won the game and became the Western Conference Champions. They’ll now go onto Legends Cup 2017.

Three police officers were shot at a Ramada Inn on Wednesday in Sacramento, California. The shooting occurred off of the Capital City Freeway on the 2600 block of Auburn Boulevard near the Ramada Inn at noon.

Update (8/30/17; 4:57 P.M.): Three suspects have been apprehended by police. One suspect is reportedly injured.

Update (8/30/17; 4:36 P.M.): The three officers are still alive. Two officers are with the California Highway Patrol, while the other is employed with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, the CHP confirmed to KCRA.

Soon after the shooting, a helicopter flew overhead the scene informing residents to “lock their doors, stay inside and report any suspicious activity.”

Several streets are currently being blocked off by Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies, probation officers, Sacramento police officers and California Highway Patrol officers.

At the time of the shooting, it was believed only one officer was shot. The condition of the officer has not yet been released to the public at that time.

Multiple law enforcement agencies and news crews have arrived on the scene.

The crime scene is still active. A massive amount of law enforcement is responding to the shooting.

Witnesses report hearing multiple shots in the area, according to KCRA. Meanwhile, El Camino High School and Arcade Middle School have been given a shelter-in-place order.

A legendary former Villanova and Keiser University coach by the name of Rollie Massimino passed away today at the age of 82. On Tuesday, Massimino entered hospice care, according to WPEC, the CBS affiliate in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is well known for his coaching work for Villanova, as he pushed his boys to the 1985 national championship. Massimino has coached Keiser University for the past 11 seasons.

Rollie Massimino’s health issues first came to light when Kentucky coach John Calipari tweeted an update on Tuesday reflecting on the health condition of the famed former Villanova coach.

Earlier Wednesday afternoon, Keiser University announced Massimino’s passing on their Twitter page.

Massimino had been battling with cancer for years.

San Fransisco police are advising people to avoid the area of Market & $th Street due to a suspicious package. A San Fransisco bomb squad is on the scene.

The San Fransisco police department has issued a “shelter in place” urging pedestrians and vehicles in the area of Market between 4th and 5th Street to stay inside and away from windows and to avoid the area if possible.

EOD is en route to the scene.

Nearby transit is delayed to due to the investigation. Market Street service is delayed near Market and 4th due to police activity at Powell Station. Passengers should expect reroutes.

According to the SFMTA, Muni Metro has been disrupted in the area. Inbound trains from West Portal will switch back at Castro back to outbound service. Furthermore, passengers at the Montgomery and Embarcadero stops also stuck.

The San Fransisco BART system says that explosives experts have x-rayed the suspicious package at Powell Station.

The BART system is also delayed, as trains are not stopping at Powell St. in the SFO, Millbrae, Daly City and East Bay directions due to the activity.

Passengers should expect reroutes and delays for street-level bus routes as well. Trains are still not allowed to enter the Powell station at this time.

Twitter user Cheeky Tubemouse said she is “trapped in a store on Market Street” do to the suspicious package.

Similarly, Twitter user Morgan Davenport said after she exited a store, a police officer ushered her off the street because of the bomb threat.

Star defender of the Houston Texans, JJ Watt, has come to the aid of many people trapped in Hurricane Harvey. He has helped raise a combined total of $12 million to assist those who are affected by the devastating hurricane/tropical storm (currently over $6 million on his particular fundraiser). He set up a fundraiser at YouCaring.com, for people to send money to the victims of this awful storm that has already taken 21 lives.

Watt sent out a video, informing his audience where those funds will be sent. “We’re filling up semi-trucks — semi-truck drivers have donated their times, their trucks… and then we’re using your money to purchase water, generators, food, clothing, cleaning supplies — things like that,” he explained. “We’re gonna set up shop in a few areas around Houston. My teammates are gonna help me distribute those materials so that we can get this directly to the people.”

What a great guy! Life has rewarded him with millions, and meanwhile, he’s still giving back so much to the area he represents whenever he plays professional football. Let’s see how much money this dude has in the bank…

JJ Watt Net Worth as of 2017: $108 Million

Depending on the source, JJ’s net worth can be in the incredibly high millions or low millions. But you need to take into account his astonishing contract with the Houston Texans. In 2014, Watt signed a six-year contract extension worth $100 million. The guy took home $30.9 million right off the bat at signing. He received $21 million at the start of the 2016 NFL season. This cat is rolling in the litter! Let’s take a look at Watt’s road to riches…

2007 – 2012

JJ started his collegiate football career at Central Michigan University, where he played 14 games, compiled 77 receiving yard and 8 receptions. He then signed on with the University of Madison-Wisconsin, where he performed as a defensive end. While playing with Wisconsin, Watt really stood out as a star athlete, earning himself the Ronnie Lott Trophy in 2010. Watt was also voted AP and Sports Illustrated second-team All- American. He was considered the team’s MVP and it was only a matter of time before he broke ground in the NFL.

In 2011, JJ was signed with the Houston Texans, which included a four-year, $11.24 million contract. This was a solid investment, as that year, the Texans went to the playoffs for the first time in history. And a year later, Watt had one of the best seasons in NFL history when it comes to playing the defensive end. In 2012, Watt was able to pull off 69 solo tackles, 12 assisted tackles, 20.5 sacks, 16 passes defended, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

For the 2012-2013 NFL season, Watt received a slew of prestigious titles, including Texans Team Most Valuable Player, PFW First-Team All-Pro, Pro Football Weekly/PFWA Most Valuable Player, NFL 101 AFC Defensive Player of the Year, AP First-Team All-Pro, and the AP Defensive Player of the Year.

In 2013, the Texans had a losing streak, but Watt still kicked ass on the gridiron. That year, he earned himself a spot in the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl and was the Pro Bowl Captain. In 2014, Watt received his mouth-watering six-year contract extension worth $100 million

2014 – Present

Watt became the first player in Texans history to score a touchdown from scrimmage in September 14, 2014, game against the Oakland Raiders. Watt kicked so much ass that he was positioned on the top spot in the NFL Top 100 Players of 2015.

This Texans powerhouse suffered a groin injury and a fractured left hand in 2015. Despite his injuries, he still played all 16 games that year, making 76 tackles, an NFL-leading 17.5 sacks, 8 passes defended, 3 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. That guy’s a football super hero!

JJ was also named as one of the top athletes in the NFL Top 100 Players of 2016. That year, he took home the number three spot.

On July 21, 2016, Watt received back surgery to correct/mend a herniated disc. Yet, he still made it to Week 1 and helped his team to victory against the Chicago Bears. On September 26, he was placed on the injured reserve list. He only played three games that year, but was still ranked 35th on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2017.

JJ Watt also showed a tremendous amount of compassion and good will when he set up a fundraiser for victims of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey. So far, he has raised over $6 million dollars for those affected by the storm.

An Arkema chemical plant outside of Houston is at risk of exploding. The situation at this power plant in Crosby, Texas, is said to be “serious” according to a statement made by the company. The plant is at risk of catching fire and exploding.

On Wednesday, Arkema’s North American operations Chief Executive Rich Row said that the company has “no way to prevent” any potential explosion at the Crosby facility.

“We have an unprecedented 6 feet of water throughout the plant,” Rowe said in a teleconference on Wednesday, according to the Wall Street Journal. “We’ve lost primary power and two sources of emergency backup power. And as a result, critical refrigeration needed for our materials on site is lost. Materials could now explode and cause a subsequent and intense fire. The high water that exists on site, and the lack of power, leave us with no way to prevent it.”

The power plant had been hit hard as a result of Hurricane Harvey, particularly when it comes to flooding. The company reported that they “receiving approximately 40 inches (of water) by Monday afternoon.”

However, when Tuesday came around, the company said it didn’t think there was any “imminent danger,” but still warned of  “the potential for a chemical reaction leading to a fire and/or explosion within the site confines is real.”

According to the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office, residents within a 1.5 radius have already been asked to leave. If you live within a 1.5 mile radius of the Crosby power plant than you must evacuate the area or risk any and all consequences of a chemical plant explosion.

Local agencies are currently dealing with the situation at the facility in Crosby, Texas. They are being supported by the Environmental Protection Agency.

An EPA spokesperson said in a statement that, “We are aware of the situation and are working with TCEQ, who is the lead in this situation, to support them and other state and local officials to mitigate risk to human health or the environment.”

The U.S. Chemical Safety Board is aware of the situation and is gathering information from news reports. That agency’s responsibility is to investigate and help clean up chemical accidents.

“The CSB is aware of the situation through news reports. We don’t have any other information other than what we are gathering from news reports. We are prepared to deploy to any incident that might result from Hurricane Harvey.”

The world of competitive gaming is heating up. Season one of the Overwatch Contenders series is in full swing. Meanwhile, the Nielsen entertainment empire appears to be entering into the esports community. And in other news Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is coming out in less than a month, and the character roster is looking phenomenal.

What’s going on with Season One of the Overwatch Contenders?

Season One of the Overwatch Contenders series kicked on Saturday, August 19, 2017. The stage has been set for an ultimate esports showdown; eight of the best North American teams will face off against the best teams from Europe. The winning team receives a grand prize of $100,000.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

Who doesn’t love a good fighting game? Welp, there’s the Mothers Against Violent Video Game Addiction and Violence, but that’s a whole ‘nother story.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is set to hit stores on September 19, 2017. The roster is looking amazing. Ghost Rider and Dormammu were recently added to the Marvel side, while Firebrand and Jedah Dohma was added to the Capcom side.

Infinity Stones will be added to this game, to enhance your fighting experience. This is the first Marvel vs. Capcom game to ever feature Infinity Stones. These stones give your character special powers and/or stat boosts. They featured appeared in the 1995 game Marvel Super Hereos.

The Nielsen entertainment empire has just joined the esports community. Nielsen Esports has become a new addition to Nielsen entertainment, and they look to set the egaming world on fire. There is a ton of demand for esports sponsorships and Nielsen looks to be filling that void.

This entertainment empire has a juggernaut of an advisory board. This board is comprised of ESL, ESPN, Facebook, Fifa, Major League Gaming and Activision Blizzard, as well as NBA 2K League, The Next Level, YouTube, Sony PlayStation, Turner Sports, Twitch, and Unilever.

Nielsen heading into the egaming sphere means more potential sponsorships and money for the esports community, which can lead to more professional tournaments, profits, and prizes.

After a couple months of being unemployed after being fired from The Blaze, Tomi Lahren has landed at Fox News as a contributor. Lahren will also have a “signature role” on a digital product currently being developed.

Lahren 25, is an American conservative political commentator, political operative, and former television host. Best known for hosting Tomi on TheBlaze, she previously hosted On Point with Tomi Lahren on One America News Network before joining Fox News as a contributor in August 2017.

Lahren garnered widespread attention in 2016, with The New York Times describing her as a “rising media star” and BBC News calling her “the young Republican who is bigger than Trump on Facebook”.

2014 – Present

Lahren, who grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota in a military family, graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.A. in broadcast journalism and political science in 2014.

Hoping to find an internship in political commentary, Lahren applied to One America News Network (OAN), obtained an interview, and was instead offered the opportunity to host her own show. She moved to San Diego, California and began working for OAN. On Point with Tomi Lahren debuted in August 2014.

In July 2015, a video of her commentary concerning the 2015 Chattanooga shootings garnered widespread attention. Before this, Lahren caused a smaller wave of press attention in March 2015 when she appeared at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference.

On August 19, 2015 Lahren announced that she had completed her last show with OAN. She moved to Texas and began a new show with TheBlaze in November 2015. She has become known for ending her program with three-minute segments called “final thoughts” in which she speaks extremely quickly. These segments have become widely popular on social media, but have been variously referred to as “screeds” and “rants”.

In January 2016, Lahren endorsed Marco Rubio for president in the Republican Party presidential primary.

On March 17, 2017, Lahren made a guest appearance on The View, where she stated that women should have access to abortion and accused those who held pro-life positions of being hypocrites. TheBlaze, whose owner Glenn Beck is pro-life and openly criticized Lahren for her comments, immediately suspended her with pay, leading Lahren to file a wrongful termination suit.

Lahren was suspended from TheBlaze in March 2017 shortly after expressing her belief that women should have legal access to abortion. In May 2017 she began working in a part-time communications role for Great America Alliance, an offshoot of Great America PAC, a large pro-Donald Trump super PAC.

On August 30, 2017, Lahren joined Fox News.

Following out the outcry of the removal of Confederate or slavery related statues, Stockton University has removed a statue of its namesake, Richard Stockton, who was a slave-owner and signer of the Declaration of Independence R

Tthe university’s announced the removal of the bust from the school library this week. The announcement was made by Harvey Kesselman, the university’s president.

In an open letter, Kesselman promised that the stature would return once the school decided on “an appropriately safe and secure public space” to keep it. Richard Stockton, who the school is named after, was a lawyer, jurist, and slaveholder.

According to the announcement from the school, the removal of the bust is temporary, and will return with an exhibit that is being developed that will show a more historical perspective.

Stockton Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Lori Vermeulen sent a letter to the campus community Thursday to inform them of the decision to remove the statue.

Vermeulen said the mission of Stockton University — “to develop engaged and effective citizens with a commitment to lifelong learning and the capacity to adapt to change in a multicultural, interdependent world” — affords the university the responsibility to provide an opportunity for students to learn about the facts surrounding Richard Stockton’s place in American history as well as in Stockton’s history.

One student on Thursday, incoming Stockton senior Sarah Amin of Egg Harbor Township, said she thinks the removal of the statue is an “overreaction.” Kesselman said the timing of the removal is relevant, thanks to recent events in Charlottesville, Virginia, and other cities around the country. He said he expects backlash, but the university tries to give an educational perspective to all issues and have a transparent conversation.

Similar to ESPN removing announcer Robert Lee from an upcoming Virginia game, this move reacts as another case of political correctness gone wrong. Sometimes, historical perspective needs to be taken into consideration.

Every week, as I sit wide-eyed watching Game Of Thrones, I always find myself wishing the characters would break the fourth wall, Deadpool-style.

I wish someone would tell Cersei her hair looks stupid. I wish someone with a d*ck was like, “Yo Missandei, I have a d*ck and Grey Worm doesn’t. Sup?” But most of all, I wish Jon Snow would just scream at the top of his lungs: “Look everyone, I’m the god damn Prince Who Was Promised so everyone just needs to shut the hell up and keep their garbage opinions to themselves because I’m out here trying to lead us through the long night.” And the number one person he needs to tell that to is Sansa.

Sansa has been questioning his every single move at every single turn, and now that she’s got this letter from Jon, her criticisms of the King in the North are only going to become harsher, because you KNOW she is not having any of this whole ‘pledge our forces’ nonsense that Jon’s selling.

If you weren’t ripping the Game Of Thrones into Rick and Morty combo this past summer, then you were doing TV all wrong, as nothing wipes away the stress of an intense GoT episode like a Rick & Morty adventure.

Whoever’s idea it was to take a shot at the most successful show of all time clearly didn’t have their head on straight, as the backlash was loud and immediate.

A bomb alarm has gone off at Saint Charles Station due to a suspicious package. The station is evacuated while police investigate.

Saint-Charles is the main railway station and intercity bus station of Marseille. It is the southern terminus of the Paris–Marseille railway. It opened on January 8, 1848, having been built for the PLM on the land of the Saint Charles Cemetery. The station is perched on top of a small hill and is linked to the city center by a monumental set of stairs.

Since 2001, when the TGV reduced dramatically the travel time between Marseille and northern France, traffic increased (7.1 million annual passengers in 2000 to 15 million in 2007).

The Saint Charles station is currently the 11th busiest in France.

The lawyer for Brendan Young, the former president at Beta Theta Pi at Penn State, claims that his client was unaware that Timothy Piazza was in danger the night of his death.

Frank Fina, Young’s defense attorney said during a preliminary hearing that there was no evidence that former Beta Theta Pi president Brendan Young acted maliciously the night 19-year-old Tim Piazza, of Lebanon, New Jersey, was fatally injured.

“He wasn’t there through the whole night. He did not observe any injuries to Mr. Piazza. He did not observe anything that would lead him to believe that he was at substantial risk,” Fina told a district judge who will have to decide whether to send the case against Young and 15 others to trial.

Fina said Young’s entire exposure to Piazza’s drinking lasted only 12 seconds, and there are unanswered questions about how much Piazza drank and how he obtained it.

‘We can’t say at what point his tragic injuries were fatal that night,’ Fina argued. ‘And we can’t identify all of the intervening events and the unknowns that contributed or even caused some of Mr. Piazza’s injuries.’

However, Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller argued that Young was “in charge of the fraternity” and that he sent texts afterward indicating he was responsible.

Piazza, 19, passed away on February 4, 2017, after suffering major internal injuries from a fall during pledge night activities at the Beta Theta Pi house at Penn State.

Piazza was a 2015 graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School in Readington Township who died after suffering a fall at the Beta Theta Pi house. Emergency services were not contacted until nearly 12 hours after the student fell down the steps at the fraternity house. Piazza was flown to the Hershey Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

God damn do I wish I was Irish? Those bastards just have more fun. You ever seen their fans at a soccer game? The Irish team absolutely STINKS, but despite that, every fan treats every game like its the World Cup final.

However, as fun as a drunken Irishman, or any drunk person, may be, there’s also that dark side. Take me, for example. In high school, I accidentally drank lighter fluid and in college, I gave a $50 bill to a homeless guy (in my defense, he claimed it was for his daughter, which was a lie). My point is, we all do stupid shit when we’re drunk, but the key is to make sure its harmless stupid shit.

This is an example of the opposite.

Agust Gudmundsson (hell of a name) was arrested while visiting Thailand after he pepper sprayed checkout girls to steal cigarettes and something called “alcopops.”

Gudmundsson, 49, stormed into the Tesco Lotus store on Tuesday at around 6pm demanding booze. Staff refused to serve him because he was aggressive and drunk – which sent the middle-aged man into a rage.

He fired a bottle of pepper-spray at the two girls before walking behind the counter and grabbing packets of cigarettes and several bottles of ‘Spy Wine Cooler’, a sparkling wine. But the robber failed in his getaway bid and was caught a few metres after stumbling and falling over outside the store in Pattaya, Thailand.

Footage shows the man, who police said was Irish, handcuffed on the ground spitting and swearing at the reporter while yelling ‘hey, f*** you’. Shaken shop assistant Wassana Haru, 28, said: ‘We saw him walking outside then he came in and asked for alcohol.

Pattaya City Police kept Gudmundsson in the drunk tank until he sobered up before charging him with drunken behavior.

Greg Abbott, a police lieutenant in Georgia, has been put on administrative duty after video of him saying “we only shoot black people” during a traffic stop was made public.

Dash-cash footage from a July 2016 DUI traffic stop shows an unidentified white female passenger telling Cobb County officer Greg Abbott that she “was scared to move her hands in order to get her cell phone because she didn’t want to get shot.”

Abbott responds by saying ‘But you’re not black. Remember, we only shoot black people.

Cobb County Police Chief Mike Register said the officer heard on video is Lt. Greg Abbott. Register said Abbott has been assigned to administrative duties pending the outcome of the investigation.

According to Register, the recording is part of a DUI stop. The woman said she was hesitant to put her hands down to pick up a cellphone because she didn’t want to get shot. “No matter what context it was said, it shouldn’t have been said,” Register said.

Suri Chadha Jimenez, who is representing the woman in the case, said he believes the officer was being sarcastic after the woman “gave him some lip.” “It makes you cringe when you hear it. It’s unacceptable,” Jimenez said. Jimenez says the fear minorities have when stopped is real.

Furthermore, Register said that Abbott will remain on administrative duty pending the investigation.

Lance LoRusso, an attorney for Lt. Greg Abbott, released the following statement:

“Lt. Greg Abbott is a highly respected 28-year veteran of the Cobb County Police Department. He is cooperating with the department’s internal investigation and will continue to do so. His comments must be observed in their totality to understand their context. He was attempting to de-escalate a situation involving an uncooperative passenger. In context, his comments were clearly aimed at attempting to gain compliance by using the passenger’s own statements and reasoning to avoid making an arrest.”

The charges against the unnamed driver were dropped and the charges against the female passenger in the video were resolved.

Rapper G-Eazy is a household name, so these days the Bay Area-native pretty much only plays huge venues. But thanks to the Bud Light Dive Bar Tour series, G-Eazy played a super intimate show in New Orleans at the infamous Blue Nile. Fans in attendance (like ourselves) were able to catch the amazing show, enjoy some complimentary Bud Lights, and be treated to special guests Cardi B and Halsey.

For those of you living under a rock, Cardi B is the Bronx rapper whose song “Bodak Yellow” is killing the airwaves right now. The former stripper turned musician entered last night’s show to “No Limit,” a she performs with G-Eazy on his upcoming album The Beautiful & Damned. She then turned up for a rendition of “Bodak Yellow,” which obviously was a huge hit. I know a few people in this office who would have paid some good money to have gone to the show just for her appearance, but obviously there was more to come. G-Eazy went on to premiere new tracks, “Bone Marrow” and “Good Life” before Halsey took the stage to perform “Now or Never” and “Me, Myself and I” with New Orleans-based brass ensemble the Soul Rebels.
