Miz TV kicks off WWE Raw

The Miz shows us all a clip of Dean Ambrose costing Miz the match last week against Elias Samson. Miz says that this is the reason why he asked for the stipulation at Extreme Rules. If Ambrose gets disqualified this Sunday then he’ll lose the Intercontinental Championship. Now, The Miz is going to introduce his guests: Sheamus & Cesaro.

Miz thanks his guests and calls them the “most hardest working workers in WWE.” Miz says The Hardys stole their spotlight at WrestleMania. Sheamus thinks the only bigger shame is that fans turned on Cesaro. The crowd chants “Delete!”

Sheamus says he’ll take back those tag team titles. Miz starts running his mouth as Ambrose and the IC title, which prompts The Lunatic Fringe to come out. Miz reminds the wild IC Champion that he’s outnumbered and if he attacks than he’s either crazy or stupid. Ambrose says he may be crazy, but he’s definitely not stupid.

Out comes The Hardy Boyz will immediately kick ass. Ambrose kicks ass as well. The champions are back on top.

The Hardy Boyz & Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz, Sheamus & Cesaro

Cesaro mixes it up with The Hardys to start off tonight’s match. Cesaro turns the tables on Matt after a little help from “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus. The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus then take turns putting the hurt on Hardy.

Finally, Dean Ambrose gets the hot tag from Matt. Ambrose comes in like a bolt of lightning, attacking Cesaro and sending The Miz flying off the apron. Ambrose leaps out of the ring onto Miz. Ambrose tangles up with Sheamus & Cesaro, trying to set Cesaro up for a Dirty Deeds, while blocking a Brogue Kick from The Celtic Warrior. Ambrose knocks Sheamus over the top rope with a clothesline.

Sheamus and Ambrose trade shots. Dean hits a spinning neckbreaker, but Sheamus fires back with a high knee.

Back from the break, and The Miz is unleashing a series of YES kicks on Ambrose. The Miz is in complete control. He doesn’t want Ambrose to make the tag, so he runs around the ring to knock The Hardys off the apron. Sheamus & Cesaro hit a double-team White Noise on The Lunatic Fringe. Sheamus tries an even bigger White Noise on Ambrose from the top rope. But the Lunatic Fringe counters and leaps off the top onto Sheamus with a flying elbow drop. Ambrose takes out Cesaro with a yuge clothesline.

Eventually, the ring is enveloped in chaos and all teams are fighting it out in the ring. But The Hardy Boyz clear house and target The Miz. The match ends when Matt hits the Twist of Fate on The Hollywood A-Lister. Jeff gets the tag and hits a Swanton Bomb.

Before the match, Samson is in the ring beneath a spotlight. The crowd is raising their lighters and cellphones to glow in the darkness like Bray Wyatt’s fireflies. Samson sings about what happened next week in his in-ring debut.

Elias beats the ever-loving sh*t out of Zac Evans. This is a completely one-sided affair. Elias with a sick knee to the gut of Evans. Samson unmercifully dissects his opponents, and ends the match with a swinging neckbreaker.

Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Samoa Joe

Joe and Balor battle to start off the match while Bray watches on. Wyatt is clapping in approval. Finn eventually hits Wyatt with a yuge kick, but Joe quickly attacks “The Demon King” Finn with hard knees. Wyatt and Joe are dissecting Balor.

Balor has to fight both men. But the team of Joe and Wyatt break down, and Joe has the Eater of Worlds locked into the Coquina Clutch. Balor breaks up the clutch with a hard kick. Wyatt and Joe eventually return to teaming up with Balor and then turning on each other once again. Balor is resilient against the odds, he reminds me of a modern day David from the David vs. Goliath story.

Finn gains control over Wyatt, taking him out with a Coup de Grace. But then Joe slides in the ring, grabs Balor and tosses him into the steel ring-post. Joe pins the prone Bray.

Noam Dar vs. Rich Swann

Dar and Swann trade shots. Dar locks Swann in a sick submission hold. Towards the end, Alicia Fox climbs up on the apron in an attempt to distract Rich. But “The Boss” Sasha Banks knocks Alicia off the apron. The Foxy one hits he floor, while Swann performs a flawless 450 splash.

Kalisto vs. Titus O’Neil

The fiery Kalisto attacks the much-larger Titus. O’Neil just executes a quick roll-up on the luchador and that’s it for the match.

New footage shows the moment a California high school student unleashed a racist tirade on his science teacher.

The teen, a student at Eastside High School in Lancaster, California, has been identified on social media as Gideon Yapp.

In the video, Yapp is seen screaming at a man he calls Dr. Hsu. According to, school records, there is a Franklin Hsu who teaches physics at the school.

The video begins with Yapp screaming, “I stopped talking,” at the teacher. Yapp then gets into Hsu’s face and yells, “You do not come up to me and get in my goddamn face.” Hsu, who is trying to continue with his lesson, says “All right, go sit down.”

This is when Yapp loses it:

“No, you go sit down, come up to me like that, who the f*** do you think you are. I’m not f***ing playing. Come up to me and do that to me, I’ll do it to you, b***h. Shut your f***ing mouth, f***ing tell me, who the f*** do you think you are?

F***ing n****r, f***ing b***h, F*** n****r,” he yells as he dumps out the garbage can.

“Fix up your f***ing room,” he yells.

The teen can also be heard calling the teacher a “b***h” and the “N-word,” telling him to “shut the f**k up” before ripping something of a faucet in the room and kicking a wall. He eventually walks out, delivering a last epithet from the hallway.

Eastside High student Ashley Figgers says she doesn’t know what happened to him.

“He’s just, like, so sweet,” she tells CBS2 News. “You would never think of him doing anything, and then to hear this, it’s like, ‘Him? No!’”

Likewise, a watch commander with the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station familiar with the student tells CBS2 News he was stunned at the news, claiming the boy is normally an upstanding student.

Eastside High School released a statement after the footage went viral:

‘We take this type of situation very seriously. Our teachers’ safety is of the utmost importance to us. The incident has been investigated and appropriate action by school administration has been taken,’ Eastside Principal Kristen Tepper said.

It is not known at this time if Yapp, who has since deleted his social media accounts, has been punished by his school.

Keaton Tilson, a U.S. Army mechanic from Granite City, Illinois, was stuck in a Dallas airport over the weekend but was able to make it home to his family thanks to the kindness of a stranger.

Tilson, who is stationed at Ft. Hood in Texas and received last minute leave to come home, was stuck at a Dallas airport for two days. Tilson was attempting to fly standby, however, his chances of catching a flight were diminishing by the hour.

That’s when Glendale, Missouri resident Josh Rainey, offered to give up his ticket. When the ticket agent for the airline explained that wasn’t allowed, Rainey called his wife and they decided to buy Tilson a plane ticket to St. Louis.

“We agreed both that it was the right thing to do to go back and buy the ticket,” said Josh Rainey.

“I’m very appreciative because if it wasn’t for him, I probably wouldn’t be here right now,” said Tilson, from a family lake house in Illinois.  “Honestly I feel like I would still be at the airport because it’s Memorial Day weekend.”

“He walked away and came back and asked if he could hug me, and I think we both had to fight back the tears after that,” said Rainey.  “It was pennies, pennies on the dollar compared to what I got back from that hug.”

Tilson, just 19 years old, said the experience gave him the sense that people still appreciate military service.

The Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity chapter as East Carolina University has been shut down due to risk management violations.

John Mountz, the Director of Greek Life at ECU, said in a letter that the Sigma Phi Epsilon national fraternity has revoked the charter of the chapter at East Carolina.

The letter says the decision was reached in unison with the local Sigma Phi Epsilon alumni and volunteer committee. The decision to revoke the fraternity’s charter was made after reviewing their recent history of risk management violations.

ECU Greek Life officials were notified by the Sigma Phi Epsilon National Fraternity that ECU’s Sigma Phi Epsilon would have its charter revoked.

In an email to Greek life, ECU Greek Life Director John Mountz said, “While we are saddened to lose an active chapter from our community, we agree with and support Sigma Phi Epsilon’s decision to hold the chapter accountable to the Fraternity’s expectations.”

Mountz went on to say he fully expected Sigma Phi Epsilon to return to ECU in the future as they expand.

Sigma Phi Epsilon, which had been at ECU since 1961, had its charter revoked in December 2010 and remained suspended for the next four years. Similarly, the chapter was temporarily suspended in 2015 after a rape allegation and was reopened after the investigation.

The actions of a few brothers, some of whom have moved on in life and no longer are associated with the fraternity, were included in the reasoning for our chapter’s closure. These dates of allegations were traced back to 2010, before our oldest active member had even graduated high school,” the chapter said in a statement.

Annie Krantz, an 18-year-old high school student, died while swimming with three friends at the Whitten Reservoir in the Douglas State Forest of Massachusetts. She died just 24 hours after her prom and a week before her graduation.

According to CBS Boston, Krantz was with three male friends when they went swimming around 2 PM on Saturday, May 27.

Friends told authorities that Krantz went under and did not return to the surface. Douglas Police received the 911 call and sent officers and dive units to the scene.

First responders arrived at the scene around 2:45 PM. Her body was pulled from six feet of water. Paramedics attempted to revive her before she was transported to Hubbard Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The exact cause of the drowning is still under investigation, but Douglas Deputy Fire Chief John Furno says the lake water was still too cold for swimming.

“That area where she was, about six to eight feet deep, the dive team tells me it was about 57 or 58 degrees. That’s cold and you can cramp up. Things can happen when you’re in that water and it can happen quickly,” Furno said.

Douglas Police received the 911 call Saturday afternoon and sent officers and dive units to the scene. Her body was pulled from six feet of water at about 2:45 pm and paramedics tried to revive her. Furno said Krantz was then sent to the hospital.

“She was brought to shore, transported to Hubbard Hospital, Harrington Campus, in Webster, where she was pronounced deceased,”

Douglas Deputy Fire Chief John Furno said the exact cause of the drowning is still under investigation.

Oxford High School school’s officials made grief counselors available on Sunday, May 29.

The school says their thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Tiger Woods’ girlfriend, Kristin Smith, was understandably upset on Monday when she found out about her golfer BF’s DUI arrest. Something like that would get any boyfriend thrown into the dog house, but with Woods’ troubled history, we wouldn’t surprise if it’s a permanent stay.

Smith, 33, was having fun shopping at Neiman Marcus in Dallas when she reportedly got a phone call about Woods, 41, and his run-in with the law.

Several eyewitnesses told TMZ that Smith went “crazy” in the middle of the department store and began yelling, “I knew it, I knew it.”

Smith works as a personal stylist and the couple reportedly began dating a little more than a year ago. When she found out about his arrest, she is said to have begun crying in front of everyone. We can’t help but feel bad for her (and for Woods) even if she should’ve known what she was getting into. We also hope Woods gets the help he clearly needs.

But at the same time, we gotta give Smith respect for grabbing a slice of revenge. The personal trainer wracked up a $5,000 shopping bill before bouncing Neiman Marcus. That’s not a bad way to take out your anger and frustration. As Aziz Ansari famously said, “Treat yo self.”

Smith has been careful with the media when it comes to her relationship with Woods, telling D Magazine last March: “I’m happy in my personal life; it’s really full. But I think if I shared it, I’d be damned if I did, damned if I didn’t. I don’t want it to define me.”

Fair enough.

Woods has released an apology statement for his arrest, claiming the incident was not related to alcohol but to an unexpected reaction to prescription medicine. He was pulled over at around 3:00 A.M. on Monday near his home in Florida and then held in the Palm Beach County Jail before being released around 11:00 A.M.

Here’s Woods’ statement:

“What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications affected me so strongly.

“I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends, and the fans. I expect more from myself, too. I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again.

“I fully cooperated with law enforcement, and I would like to personally thank the representatives of the Jupiter Police Dept. and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for their professionalism.”

A Belgian university has apologized after an email was sent to female students suggesting they wear low-cut outfits to a graduation ceremony.

Medical students at the Free University of Brussels (ULB) received the message that asked women to wear “revealing” clothing.

“From an aesthetic point of view,” the message read, “it is better for young women to wear a dress or skirt, and a nice revealing neckline.”

Male students were told that a simple suit would be appropriate wear for the ceremony.

“Of course, ladies, this advice is not obligatory,” the email continued.

Regardless of the intention, the message sparked significant backlash on social media. The university later posted a statement on Facebook and Twitter directed at its medical students to apologize for the email and its suggestions. ULB said the subject matter was inappropriate and did not represent the school’s values.

A screenshot of the message was then shared to the humor-centric Facebook page ULB Confessions, which brought further light to the “little scandal.” The post drew hundreds of responses from students and accusations that ULB was sexist.

Here’s one popular student response:

“No one has the right to tell you how you should feel in your skin. Nobody has the right to tell you how to dress. No one has the right to tell you how to play your role as a woman. No one has the right to take away this freedom that has been (and is still being) obtained with such difficulty.”

Marco Schetgen, the dean of the medicine faculty, told Belgian news outlet RTL that the email was likely sent by a woman as there are no male employees in the secretariat.

“No, it’s not a hoax,” he said, confirming the email had been sent out but adding that it had shocked him too when he found out.

German authorities have detained a 17-year-old Syrian citizen outside of Berlin as he was suspected of planning a suicide attack in the German capital, according to officials.

What Happened?

Brandenburg police said that the teenager was detained in the county of Uckermark, which is northeast of Berlin. The police reportedly learned that the teen had sent a message to family members bidding them farewell and saying he “had joined the jihad.”

“Evidence of the planning of a concrete act has not yet been identified during the police investigation,” police said in a statement.

The Syrian teenager was identified by the state Interior Ministry’s office, though his name has yet to be released to the public. He is said to have come to Germany in 2015 as an unaccompanied minor and registered as an asylum-seeker. He has been living in the country since 2016 in a home for refugees in Uckermark.

German security officials have been arguing that the country is at the center of attention for several international terrorism groups. In December, a Tunisian citizen attacked a Berlin Christmas market, killing 12 people and injuring dozens.

No official cause of death has been revealed. Her passing was announced on the official James Bond Twitter page.

Peters was born in Walsham-le-Willows, Suffolk, England and began her career as a model. Director Terence Young discovered her and cast her as Patricia Fearing, the sexy nurse who helps mend 007, played by Sean Connery, in the 1965 hit Thunderball. In the movie, she famously became the first Bond girl ever to appear nude, albeit with strategically placed bed sheets covering her. Still, the scene caused a controversy with the the British Board of Film Certification (BBFC) handing out an “X” certificate on Thunderball if changes weren’t made to the script.

Despite the great success of Thunderball and Peters’ obvious appeal, she appeared in just two more films after her breakout role. They were 1966’s Target for Killing and 1968’s Don’t Raise The Bridge, Lower The Water. She also had a small handful of TV appearances but did not act professionally after 1968.

Peters said in a DVD featurette that her career was derailed because of a disagreement with her agent and she declined to go into specifics. She was married and lived in Ispwich. She had a son, who is deceased.

Peters’ death comes just days after Roger Moore’s death on May 23. Moore played Bond in seven films and died at age 89.

Edith Hernandez, a 37-year-old Illinois mother, faces charges of driving under the influence with her three children in the car after police spotted her throwing a beer can from her car.

Hernandez was stopped by officers in the early hours of Sunday, May 28.

One of Hernandez’s children, an unidentified 17-year-old, had to be taken to hospital by paramedics because he was suffering from severe abdominal pain. Hernandez’s 9-year-old and 11-year-old were also in the car, as well as another intoxicated man.

After she was stopped by police, Hernandez failed a field sobriety test, blowing a .096. Hernandez told the officer she’d had at least four beers and was on her way home back to Streator, Illinois.

A Riverside officer saw a white 1999 Chevy van headed south in the 3100 block of Harlem Avenue stop, its door opened and a beer can was thrown into the street about 12:45 A.M. Sunday, police said. When the officer pulled the vehicle over, he could “immediately” smell liquor on the driver’s breath, police said. The driver’s eyes, according to police, were bloodshot and glossed over and she had a difficult time conversing with the officers as he questioned her.

Police say the woman told the officer she had been partying in nearby Berwyn. When asked why she threw the beer can in the street, the woman told the officer she was trying to get home because one of the three children in the back seat of the car was sick with severe abdominal pain, police said. Paramedics arrived on the scene and took the 17-year-old girl to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn to be evaluated. Police arranged for relatives to meet the girl at the hospital.

Hernandez, of Streator, Illinois, has been charged with endangering the life of a child, driving under the influence of alcohol, unsafe opening of a door in traffic, littering on the roadway, and driving with no vehicle insurance.

Her first court appearance is scheduled for July 7 at the Maybrook Court House at 9:00 A.M.

A bomb threat at the Daybreak Salon and Spa has forced the evacuation of several businesses in the strip mall at West and Allen roads in Woodhaven, Michigan.

What Happened?

UPDATE: 10:46 A.M.: Police say the situation is over and that the area has officially been cleared.

UPDATE 10:30 A.M.: Police say workers at Daybreak Salon & Spa received a fax demanding $25,000. It threatened a bomb if they didn’t pay the fine or called police. About a dozen businesses have been evacuated.

A bomb threat has been made at Daybreak Salon and Spa in a strip mall in Woodhaven, Michigan. The threat has spurred the evacuation of several businesses in the location.

Woodhaven police are currently on the scene investigating. The evacuations are considered a precaution, but bomb sniffing dogs are sweeping the area.

Police have asked people to avoid the area.

The Gettysburg Bullets have one of the best DIII lacrosse programs in the country, a fact that was proven over the weekend when the Women’s Lacrosse Team won the Division III National Championship against The College of New Jersey. The final score of the game was 6-5. This is the second National Championship that the Women’s Lacrosse Team has delivered to Gettysburg College.

The Bullets were needed #7 nationally entering the tournament and would finish the year defeating 2 different #1 ranked teams. That’s a first in program history–just like allowing an extremely stingy 4.78 goals against (a program and conference record that will stand for a long time).

The finals, which were held at Roanoake College in Virginia, started out with a bang as the Bullets went up 4-1 before halftime. TCNJ mounted a serious comeback, but Gettysburg held strong by earning the final two goals. Sophomore Steph Colson stepped up to the plate and scored the game winner with only 2:57 left on the clock. You can see that photo below.

As a Gburg alumnus, obviously I’m a little biased here, but I can’t tell you the number of close calls that both the Men’s and the Women’s team has had to raising the DIII trophy in a few years. My senior year back in 2010, the Gettysburg Men’s Team played against Salisbury in the Finals. They lost that game (held in Gillette Stadium) to Salisbury, a garbage institution with a great lacrosse team (again, biased), who actually won the championship again this year.

Manuel Noriega, the former military ruler of Panama who was ousted by a US invasion in 1989, has died aged 83, according to the country’s President.

Noriega had suffered a brain hemorrhage following the first of two surgeries to remove a benign brain tumor in March.

Juan Carlos Varela announced Noriega’s death on Twitter late Monday night, saying that his passing closes a dark chapter in Panama’s history.

The former dictator ruled the Central American nation from 1983 to 1989. He was released from prison in January and transferred to house arrest in Panama for the first time in three decades ahead of his operation.

Noriega spied for the CIA before his drug trafficking and harsh regime elicited a US invasion in 1989. He originally served a 17-year-drug sentence in America and was later sent to France to face charges. He spent the final years of his life in a Panamanian prison for murder of political opponents during his cruel and brutal reign.

Noriega accused the U.S. government of hatching a “conspiracy” to keep him incarcerated. He blamed his refusal to cooperate with an American plan to topple Nicaragua’s leftist Sandinista government in the 1980s as the source of his legal troubles.

Following Noriega’s downfall, the country of Panama experienced widespread changes, including assuming control over the Panama Canal from the U.S. in 1999, vastly expanding the waterway and enjoying a boom in tourism and real estate.

Noriega is survived by his wife Felicidad and daughters Lorena, Thays and Sandra.

Newly released reports indicate that fallen golf superstar Tiger Woods was asleep at the wheel of his 2015 Mercedes Benz when he was arrested by Jupiter police early Monday morning in Jupiter, Florida.

According to the Probable Cause Affidavit obtained by Daily Mail, the 41-year-old Woods had to be woken up by an officer. His car was running at the time and Woods’ right blinker was flashing.

After Woods was awoken by police, he failed four field sobriety tests. After failing those four tests, Woods submitted to a breathalyzer and blew a .000 two times, which suggests that there was no alcohol in his system, however, Woods was on four prescription drugs: Soloxer, Vicodin, Torix, and Viox.

The affidavit states that at 2:03 A.M., Woods was approached by a member of the Jupiter Police Department, who found him sound asleep at the wheel of his $222,000 Mercedes.

The star’s car was idling in the middle of Military Trail about one mile from police headquarters, a deserted stretch of road at night but an extremely busy traffic artery during the day. Both his brake lights and flashers were on.

After he was woken by cops, Woods — who was alone in the car — told them he had no idea where he was, according to the paperwork. “Woods asked how far from his house he was,” the report reads.

According to police at the scene, Woods was described as cooperative and confused. Woods has been charged with DUI and now faces a six-month suspension of his driver’s license. Reports also suggest he will be losing many of his sponsorships.

Terry Frei, a sportswriter for the Denver Post, was fired over Memorial Day weekend for tweeting that he felt ‘uncomfortable’ that a Japanese driver won Sunday’s Indianapolis 500.

Shortly after Japanese Indy Car driver Takuma Sato’s victory at the Indy 500, Frei tweeted the offensive remarks, saying:

“Nothing specifically personal, but I am very uncomfortable with a Japanese driver winning the Indianapolis 500 during Memorial Day weekend,” he wrote.

The tweet sparked immediate outrage on Twitter. First, Frei tried to double down on his insensitive remarks, tweeting: “THIS is what Memorial Day is about. Dave Schreiner’s death in Battle of Okinawa. Not for squeamish or ‘sensitive.’

After his second tweet caused an even further backlash, Frei attempted to apologize, albeit halfheartedly, by merely tweeting ‘I apologize’. He has since deleted that tweet.

Frei finally decided to tweet a full statement, attempting to explain his insensitive tweets:

Frei, who has published 8 sports books and written for The Sporting News, The Portland Oregonian, and Rocky Mountain News, has not commented since being fired.

As for Sato, he became the first Asian driver to win the Indy 500.

NBC’s America’s Got Talent (AGT) is back for season 12 with a host of new contestants hoping to make it big and winning the advertised prize of $1 million and the chance to headline a show on the Vegas Strip. But for the first time since the show debuted in 2006, the most interesting storyline may not have anything to do with the hopeful contestants.

Tyra Banks is stepping in as host of AGT. This marks Banks’ return to reality series hosting after a long and lucrative run on America’s Next Top Model, which she also co-created. Banks will be replacing long-time AGT host Nick Cannon.

“Since I was a little girl, I’ve been obsessed with grandiose acts and performers who make the seemingly impossible possible,” Banks said. “I love how AGT brings that feeling into everyone’s home, capturing the best of people who come out and give it their all to make those big, fierce and outrageous dreams come true.”

Initially, NBC had said that host Cannon and judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B. and Howie Mandel would all be returning in 2017. However, Cannon left the series through an emotional post last month after claiming the network threatened to fire him over an AGT and NBC-related racial joke in his new Showtime stand-up special. Cannon hosted the series for 8 seasons.

Banks is a veteran in the reality TV game following her 22 seasons on Top Model and her own syndicated talk show The Tyra Banks Show.

“Welcome to the America’s Got Talent family, Tyra! This is really exciting,” said Cowell.

Woods continued to dominate the PGA Tour as he came into his prime. He won a total of 20 times from 2003-2006, included seven consecutive wins. Woods won his 14th major in 2008 at the U.S. Open and underwent knee surgery after that tournament. He still finished second on the money list that year, despite only playing in six tournaments. In 2009, Woods came back from the knee surgery and led the tour in money and victories. His perfect career track and brand would change in late 2009.

Woods’ image was forever changed on November 27, 2009. A car accident on his front lawn was the result of a dispute between Woods and his then-wife Elin Nordegren.
