Hours before HBO aired the finale of The Jinx, Robert Durst was arrested in New Orleans for allegedly murdering his friend Susan Berman in 2000. Authorities believe his motive stemmed from Berman knowing something about the mysterious death of his wife Kathleen, who disappeared in 1982.
The story thickened once the finale was set in motion – before the docuseries ended, viewers heard an apparent confession from the eccentric New York City billionaire:
Despite everything, Durst’s lawyers are bound to refute the confession on the grounds of illegal recording, but we’re certain he won’t be getting off this time around.
