Oklahoma University has already had quite a week, and the story continues. After the university expelled the two SAE fraternity brothers who were allegedly responsible for the racist chant video that went viral, the fraternity is now lawyering up.
Apparently the brothers have hired high profile attorney Stephen Jones to represent them in court against David L. Boren and Oklahoma University. Jones essentially believes that the students are being treated unfairly.
According to KFOR News in Oklahoma:
Jones says the two students who were expelled because of the incident have apologized sincerely for their remarks, and now the incident is being exploited.
He said they lacked judgment in a social setting, but they should not be tarred and feathered as racists.
The decision to hire Jones came after an emergency meeting held by SAE members and alumni.
