In the era of comic book movies such as “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight Rises“, comic book properties and other related properties we all grew up with have taken on this dark path and the latest to do so is Power Rangers? Who would’ve thunk in? But, this short film directed by Joseph Kahn – who also directed “Detention” and “Torque” is f*cking badass, excuse my french.
Kahn, who dubbed the short a “deboot FAN FILM” explains that his project is “…not a pilot, not a series, not for profit, strictly for exhibition. This is a bootleg experiment not affiliated or endorsed by Saban Entertainment or Lionsgate nor is it selling any product. I claim no rights to any of the characters (don’t send me any money, not kickstarted, this film is free).”
Now i can’t wait to see a feature length Power Rangers movie, never in a million years did i think i’ll ever utter such a statement.
