Huston-Tillotson University Professor Lives in Dumpster for One Year

Dumpster
A biological science professor at Huston-Tillotson University lived in a dumpster for one year to prove to his students that you could live in a small space and still be happy. A little extreme, sure, but apparently not extreme enough; his concept has also been adapted by other university educators with “The Dumpster Project,”  in which other professors will have their turn in the supposedly homey space.

Jeff Wilson spent 365 days calling an Austin, Texas dumpster home. The space was only 33-square feet, and while most amenities were virtually nonexistent, Wilson managed a mailbox, air conditioner, and eventually solar power. He aims to become to create only one percent waste of the average home, and use one percent of the energy and water.

Pretty nuts, but you gotta give the guy credit; he’s ambitious, and trying to do what we definitely cannot. Have to give credit where credit is due.
