It has definitely been a lost season for the New York Knicks and new team president Phil Jackson. After losing on Sunday afternoon to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Knicks fell to an NBA-worst 10-45 for the season. The loss though set in motion a rant of sorts from Jackson on Twitter. Here is what Jackson said about his team’s performance.
He can’t be happy with what he is seeing. The team’s worst season in regards to wins is 21 so it would take the Knicks going 11-16 the rest of the year just to tie the record. That likely isn’t going to happen. Jackson has admitted that his “experiment has fallen flat on its face.” However, changes are coming to the Big Apple.
There will be plenty of salary cap space this offseason and a high draft pick. Maybe Jackson finds a way to get a superstar to come to New York this summer or uses the draft pick to trade for a big-time player. Right now though, nothing is working for Jackson with the Knicks. Jackson is going to need to make something special happen soon or the fans are really going to start letting him have it.
