There are many things that Lebron James has done over his long Hall of Fame career. He has won NBA titles, won scoring titles and now is trying to bring Cleveland a championship for the first time in a long time. However, there is one thing that James has never done that he is now regretting not doing. That would be participating in the annual Dunk Contest at the All-Star Game.
James said in an interview “I was mad at myself because I believe it would’ve been great.” He had committed to take part on several different occasions but backed out each time. The fans would have loved to have seen James in a dunk contest and it should be the stars of the league anyway who take part in the contest anyway.
James now says he is “over the hill” so he can’t do it at this point of his career. He will be 31 in December. That’s not too old for a dunk contest especially if he can come up with some creative things that others haven’t attempted in the past. Maybe James will give it one run at next year’s game when it is in Toronto. It would be one big thank you to the fans.
