The Cincinnati Cyclones know that if you want to ensure people show up to your minor league hockey game, offer them dollar beers. Along with somewhat questionable mascots (a la the Adirondack Flames), cheep brews are a surefire way to get butts in seats. To their credit, hockey fans aren’t really the pickiest of drinkers.
It’s also a pretty outstanding way to get the crowd involved with social media. Take for example these bros just doing their thing and making a beer pyramid. We did the quick math and saw that believe it or not, there are over 150 empties represented in this photo. I count only four bros. You do the math.
Word is that Wade Boggs will be singing the next national anthem for the Cyclones next Dollar Beer Night.
