Melissa Benoist has been officially announced as the small-screen Supergirl in the CBS network’s upcoming show about the (usually) blonde babe from the planet Krypton–and that’s just part of what’s already been a fantastic year for this fantasy girl. She’s also in the cool indie film Whiplash, which surprised a lot of people with an Oscar nomination for Best Picture. That’s a lot of action for a gal who once seemed like one of the more forgettable gals of Glee.
Well, that’s true if you missed her sexy naked turn as a honeypot on Homeland, or the “Grease” episode of Glee where Melissa slutted out as Sandy. Yeah, now it’s hard to believe that Melissa was once overshadowed by gals like Dianna Agron, Naya Rivera, and Demi Lovato. Now she’s set to have a better post-Glee career than most of the cast.
