Anybody who’s lived in San Francisco–or maybe even just visited–knows the irritating experience of getting stuck as the Golden Gate Bridge goes through the daily routine of changing the day’s traffic barriers. They have to add extra lanes in different directions each day. That means a truck plodding along as an employee drops plastic tubes to create the flimsy makeshift barrier.
East Coasters might have endured the same thing in New Jersey out past the Lincoln Tunnel, but now there’s new hope. Check out this amazing video of the new brilliant new vehicle that can quickly shift a superior traffic barrier across lanes at blinding speed.
Or at least it’s a lot faster, and there’ll be less head-on collisions on the Golden Gate Bridge, and it looks really damn cool. Take a look and finally really happy about a change in San Francisco…
