Well, The Colbert Report ended its run last night, and nobody killed off Stephen Colbert’s persona of Stephen Colbert. That’s what people were expecting after Grimmy the Grim Reaper was announced as the final guest. Instead, Stephen Colbert gained immortality. That’s nice. And it’s no spoiler, either, since the really big finish was a music number that featured a ton of musical guests.
Here is it, and we won’t list too many names. Some are expected. Some are not. Some are reminders that Stephen Colbert–as the host of The Colbert Report–was a particularly toothless court jester in a lot of ways. He sure made some powerful friends, though.
