By now you’ve heard that Rolling Stone has since retracted some of what was said in their piece exposing a gang rape culture within UVA fraternities, Phi Kappa Psi specifically. That explosive article caused a lot of backlash–for the fraternity and for the school-culminating in a ban on all of Greek Life at UVA.
But now, in light of the botched attempt at investigative journalism, a UVA spokesman has come out to say that this indefinite ban will be lifted for the Spring Semester. The Los Angeles Times reports that “On Monday afternoon, the school released a statement saying fraternity and sorority activites would resume on Jan. 9,” and that resuming these activities was part of their plan the whole time.
Surrrrre.
