The new Terminator: Genisys trailer is here, with old Arnold Schwarzenegger vs. young Arnold Schwarzenegger–which is a pretty neat trick. The actual story seems to get pretty wild. From what we can tell, Terminator: Genisys pretty much lands us in the midst of Terminator and T2: Judgment Day, except this time there’s a Sarah Connor who’s already lived through those movies. She’s also lived through Game of Thrones, since she’s Emilia Clarke.
There’s lot of cool stuff, though. We won’t give away the action highlights, but the futuristic post-SkyNet world is pretty impressive, and the entire film has a great look. We’re kind of sorry to see that Robert Patrick isn’t back. It’s just another T-1000 that resembles Robert Patrick. That kind of makes sense.
We’re really baffled by that Old Arnold vs. New Arnold scene, though. The young Arnold isn’t from the first Terminator movie. It’s the long-haired young Arnold from Conan, and that Pumping Iron documentary from the 1970s. What does it all mean? We’re not sure, but it’s action-packed, and we’re happy to have a trailer that keeps us guessing. Check out that poster below, too. They dare to go Arnold-less…
