The Best Drinks To Have During Thanksgiving Holidays

Thanksgiving is one of the best times of the year, food, Football, shopping, family, and drinks. In the past it was the usual egg nog, apple cider and old faithful, beer–but lets change tradition a bit and start a new.

Liqueurs are usually best as an added ingredient to some of the best cocktails in the world but creamy liqueurs are different.Cream liqueurs bring in the holiday spirit with a smooth, silky and thick taste, they are ready to serve and are usually best neat or on the rocks and come in many different forms and flavors. Creamy liqueurs make life simple at a time when meal prep can be such a hassle.

Below are some drinks, and cocktails that are simple, and make a great pairing to any Thanksgiving meal:

PS add a little rum or vodka (depending on the base of the liqueur) if you want an added kick to the drink when drinking a liqueur neat or over ice.



Rose (36 proof)- Courvoisier cognac and premium French red wine grapes. It taste like cognac liqueur, great for someone who thinks cognac is too strong.

Best Served: Chilled, or on the rocks.

Cocktail–1 part Courvoisier Rose, 1 part Champagne or 1 part orange juice.

Gold (36 proof)- An original blend of Moscato wine from the south Of France and Courvoisier cognac. It’s a bit thick but not too thick, and not too sweet.

Best Served: Chilled, or on the rocks

Cocktail “The Golden Bellini”–1 part Courvoisier® Gold, 1 part DeKuyper® Peachtree Schnapps, 1 part Champagne,

Directions–Shake the Courvoisier and Peachtree with ice and strain into a chilled flute, then top with champagne. Garnish with a lemon twist.


BAILEYS CHOCOLATE CHERRY (34 proof)- Is a blend of dark chocolate, black cherries, roasted dark chocolate and the classic Baileys Irish Cream flavors.

Best Served: Chilled or on the rocks

Cocktail “Baileys Cherry Bombshell”–1oz Baileys® Chocolate Cherry Liqueur, 1/2oz Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, Chocolate Syrup and Cherry for Garnish.

Directions–Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice then Shake well and strain into a chilled shot glass rimmed with chocolate syrup, lastly, Garnish with a cherry.


ST-RÉMY À LA CRÈME (only available in Canada, 30 proof)- a creamy blend of hazelnut, creamy chocolate, coffee and cookies.

Best Served: Chilled or on the rocks

Cocktail: 1 part St-Rémy À La Crème, and 1 part coffee or Cointreau.



XO Café (70 proof)- a blend of Patrón Silver tequila and coffee.

Best Served: Chilled or on the rocks

Cocktail “Espresso Martini”–¾ oz. Patrón Silver tequila, ¾ oz. Patrón XO Café, ¾ oz. espresso shot, Fine sugar, Powdered chocolate

Directions–Rim the serving glass with sugar. Combine liquors with espresso in a mixing glass; add ice, shake and strain. Garnish with powdered chocolate.

XO Café Dark Cocoa (60 proof)- Taste of Fresh-Roasted Coffee, Rich Chocolate and Light Tequila.

Best Served: Chilled or on the rocks

Cocktail “Sweet Dreams”–2 oz. Patrón XO Cafe Dark Cocoa, ¾ oz. Ultimat Vodka, 1 oz. Caramel syrup

Directions–Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a caramel rim.

XO Café Incendio (60 proof)- combines spicy, Mexican arbol chile with the rich, Criollo chocolate, and Patrón Silver tequila.

Best Served: Chilled or on the rocks

Cocktail “Happiest Ending”–1oz Patron XO Café Incendio, 1oz Aged Rum, 1oz Freshly Whipped Cream, Top with Freshly Grated Nutmeg.


AVION EXPRESSO (70 proof)A combination of Italian espresso and Avión Silver Tequila, with a touch of sweetness. It taste exactly how I sounds.

Best Served: Chilled or on the rocks

Cocktails “The Double Shot Martini”–1.5oz Avión Espresso Tequila, 1 part milk or half & half.

Directions–Add all ingredients to shaker. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with 1-3 espresso beans.

Cocktail “The Afterhours”–1oz Avión Espresso Tequila, and 2oz Avión Anejo.

Directions–Pour ingredients into a rocks glass over ice. Stir.

GODIVA CHOCOLATE WHITE CHOCOLATE (30 proof)- Just imagine the traditional Godiva chocolate in liquid form.

Best Served: Chilled or on the rocks

Cocktail “Berry Diva”–1oz.
Godiva® Milk Chocolate Liqueur, 1 oz.
raspberry liqueur, 4 oz.
club soda.

Directions–Pour Godiva Chocolate Liqueur and raspberry liqueur over ice, top with club soda.


KAHLÚA PUMPKIN SPICE (40 proof)- natural pumpkin, autumnal spices blended with 100% Arabica coffee and sugarcane rum.

Best Served: Chilled or on the rocks

Cocktail “Pumpkin Whiskey”–1 part Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice, and 1 part Jameson Irish Whiskey.

Direction–Mix Kahlua Pumpkin Spice and Jameson Irish Whiskey and serve in an old-fashioned glass with an ice cube.

Cocktail “Pumpkin Cider”–2 parts Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice
Top with apple cider and a
lemon squeeze.

Build over ice in a highball glass, and stir. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
