Here’s another reason to get excited over the holidays: the Budweiser Clydesdales are going to be around as this season’s most impressive designated drivers. Just in time, too, since there always seem to be rumors that the Budweiser brand is about to give up on their iconic Clydesdales. In fact, that recurring rumor recently got some serious coverage from media types who should’ve known better.
Fortunately, this gives the Budweiser brand a good excuse to remind people about the chances of the Budweiser Clydesdales taking them home for the holidays. “We can confirm they will return to the Super Bowl in 2015,” said Budweiser vice president Brian Perkins, “and they are stars of our new online holiday campaign that has been in production for months.”
That includes the Budweiser Clydesdales joining Lyft in a fun ad promotion. Use the Lyft service to get home from the bars (or wherever), and there’s a chance that the Budweiser Clydesdales will show up as your ride. That’s a pretty big holiday happening.
