There was a lot of A-list female talent at the 2014 American Music Awards. Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Selena Gomez, Fergie, Nicki Minaj, Mary J. Blige, and many more traveled to the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles to be a part of the star-studded awards show.

Iggy Azalea
I don’t think we’re hurting anyone’s feelings or making ridiculous claims when we say that Iggy Azalea was probably the MVP of the 2014 American Music Awards. Not only did she receive two awards for Favorite Album–Rap/Hip Hop and Favorite Artist–Rap/Hip Hop, Iggy stepped onstage and performed her new single “Booty” with J. Lo. Katy Perry
Katy Perry was the 2014 American Music Awards’ biggest trophy winner (Single of the Year, Favorite Female Artist–Pop/Rock, Favorite Artist–Adult Contemporary) but she was also the most absent. Katy wasn’t available to pick up her awards in person as she’s currently touring.
Fergie
After being introduced by her husband Josh Duhamel (“She makes really cute babies!”), Fergie Ferg took the stage to perform her new single “L.A. Love.” She rocked the microphone in gold sneakers and tight-fitting suit while dancing on top of a schoolbus. It’s pretty clear to us that Fergie’s looking as good as she ever has. Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez didn’t win any awards at the 2014 American Music Awards, but she did get the crowd going with the performance of “The Heart Wants What It Wants”–a single that many believe is written in reference to Justin Bieber. [image via Getty Images Entertainment / Kevin Winter]
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift took home the Dick Clark Award for Excellence, but still managed to steal the show as probably the most-aired face on the entire American Music Awards show. No action, event, or introduction was made without at least two Taylor Swift reaction shots.
