Sajad Gharibi is a powerlifter who looks larger than life. The 27-year-old man known as “The Iranian Hulk” stands at just 6-foot-1 but weighs a whopping 385 pounds and sports a physique that doesn’t even look real. Now, some poor soul is going to get an up-close and personal look at Gharabi while attempting to avoid his fists.
Over the weekend, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship announced that “The Iranian Hulk” has signed with the promotion and will be making his bare-knuckle boxing debut in early 2020.
An official date and opponent have not been named at this time.
“This guy’s going to make his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut in early 2020,” Bare Knuckle FC president David Feldman said, via MMAFighting.com. “We’re going to do a show entitled ‘USA vs. Iran: World War III.’ He’s literally our biggest signing we’ve ever had. But he’s going to make his way over to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, he’s gonna make a home here, and we expect really, really big things from ‘The Iranian Hulk.’”
This should be interesting.
Earlier this year, it was reported that the Iranian Hulk was supposed to make his mixed martial arts debut against Romario, who is known as the Brazilian Hulk. However, the fight fell through at the last minute and Gharibi never stepped into the cage.
But anyone who wanted to see Gharibi fight will now get their wish thanks to the powers that be in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
