If the Beatles are considered to be the rock band Kings, then there is a certain British band that can comfortably take the title of being Queens. Indeed, Queen, consisting of vocalist Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May, bass guitarist John Deacon and drummer Roger Taylor, practically ruled the world from their debut in 1970, until 1991, when frontman Mercury died from AIDS complications. Considered one of the most popular rock groups in history, Queen has more than a few hit songs that make people around the world want to jam out. Without further ado, here are the top 10 Queen songs of all time!

10. “Flash” (Flash Gordon)

It’s often debated as to whether the album that this song originated from is a true studio album for the group or not. That’s irrelevant when the song in question is as irresistibly catchy as this one, however. It’s safe to say that the person who wrote this is a savior of the universe.

9. “Fat Bottomed Girls” (Jazz)

This track is fast-paced, humorous and electrifying. One of Queen’s staples at concerts, the song has an air of fun to it that begs it to be sung again and again. If that’s indeed the case, then the song succeeded completely, as it makes the rocking world go round.

8. “Killer Queen” (Sheer Heart Attack)

The song that helped teens learn about French revolution, “Killer Queen” is a killer track. Laser beams and guillotines abound as the story of a corrupt female head of state unravels. Either way, this song will put you in a mood for more Queen, which is NEVER a bad thing.

7. “Radio Ga Ga” (The Works)

In 1984, all some critics heard from Queen was radio ga ga, in the sense that there was growing criticism against the new wave undertones of their work. But this song was proof that Queen still had it and in turn, the critics were TRULY just hearing radio goo goo.

6. “Don’t Stop Me Now” (Jazz)

This is what I say to people whenever I’m listening to this song. At a breakneck speed, this song captivates the listener and takes them on a fast-paced, manic adventure, with figures such as Mr. Fahrenheit adding to the fun. Seriously, don’t stop me when I’m listening to this song.

5. “Another One Bites the Dust” (The Game)

Another one bites the dust as the list winds down. See what I did there? Either way, the sense of foreboding next to the disco beat makes this song a keeper. ‘Nuff said.

4. “I Want to Break Free” (The Works)

You’ll never utter this phrase when you’re listening to this track. The epitome of 80s new wave done right, it’s a classic case of perfecting a musical formula and keeping us invested the whole way through.

3. “We Are the Champions” (News of the World)

I’ve paid my dues going down this list to reach this point. Perhaps I’ve made a few mistakes on this list according to some, but there should be no debate as to where this anthem of stadium rock belongs.

2. “We Will Rock You” (News of the World)

The twin brother to the previous song, “We Will Rock You” is the hipper, cooler twin, what with its kicking guitar solo towards the end. If this song doesn’t rock you, you’ve got mud on your face, kicking your can all over the place.

1. “Bohemian Rhapsody” (A Night at the Opera)

Is this the real life, or is this just fantasy? It might be a cliche to rank this song as the top dog on a Queen top 10 list, but cliches have their reasons for existing. This song’s reason? It takes you on an insanely catchy adventure.
