We are less than a week away from the November Democratic Debate as the top presidential candidates return to the stage to address the biggest issues facing potential voters ahead of the 2020 general election. According to the Democratic National Committee, 10 candidates have qualified for the November stage.
The top tier of candidates — former Vice President Joe Biden, South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders — all qualified for the November debate.
Falling short of the debate stage was former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro, who participated in last month’s debate, while former Texas Representative Beto O’Rourke will not return to the stage after dropping out of the race.
Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar met the qualifications, along with businessman Andrew Yang and billionaire Tom Steyer.

To qualify for the November Democratic Debate, candidates needed at least 165,000 donors and at least 3 percent support in four approved polls. The previous threshold was 130,000 donors and 2 percent support in four approved polls.
Moderating the debate will be Rachel Maddow, host of “The Rachel Maddow Show” on MSNBC; Andrea Mitchell, host of “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on MSNBC and NBC News’ chief foreign affairs correspondent; Kristen Welker, NBC News’ White House correspondent; and Ashley Parker, a White House reporter for The Washington Post.
The November debate — which is the fifth of the Democratic primary debates — will take place on November 20 in Atlanta, Georgia. The debate will be hosted by MSNBC and the Washington Post beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET.
