On top of a rather impressive boing career, Fury has also made an appearance on WWE during its Crown Jewel match against Braun Strowman. But just how much is Fury worth?

Tyson Fury Net Worth as of 2019: $40 Million

Early Life: 1988 – 2000s

Tyson Fury was born in Manchester, England on August 12, 1988. He was born the oldest of two siblings. Born three months premature, Tyson earned his name after the then-undefeated heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson. He grew up in Wilmslow, England alongside his brother Tommy. Tyson’s father was a professional boxer as well, and Tyson would often accompany his dad to the gym. Eventually, Tyson would go on to leave school at the age of 10 to pursue boxing himself.

2006 – 2008

Fury would see a very successful amateur career during the early 2000s. By 2006, he was already making a name for himself as a very ambitious boxer for his age. He had represented both England and Ireland in numerous competitions. In 2006, he won the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships. And in the following year, he won the EU Junior Championship as the representative for England. But still, Fury wanted more. In 2008, he attempted to represent both Great Britain and Ireland as their representatives for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. However, both countries already had their representatives for the event, and Fury was denied.

2008 – 2015

After being denied the chance to compete in the Olympics, Fury decided it was time for a change of pace. After competing in and winning the 2008 ABA super-heavyweight title, Fury made the decision to go pro. His debut match was in December 2008, where he achieved victory. From there, Fury would go on to win match after match, racking up and impressive record of 24 wins and no loses. His 25th match, however, would be one of his biggest. His championship bout against the then-champion Wladimir Klitschko took place during July 2015. Fury would go on to win the match, granting him the title of a heavyweight champion. And with that, he earned the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, Lineal and the Rings magazine champion titles.

Since then, Fury has seen no shortage of success. While his reign as champion may have not been the longest, his track record is no less impressive, with no losses and only 1 draw to his name after his bout against Deontay Wilder in 2018. Fury has also made waves outside the world of boxing, having gone toe-to-toe with Braun Strowman in WWE as part of their Crown Jewel match. He is currently married to his wife, Paris Fury. At the time of writing, the two of them have five kids, four boys, and one girl. Fury has proven, both during and after a match, to be an outstanding presence, one time, serenading his wife after a win. A bombastic and hard-working competitor, Fury has shown us what happens when ambition and drive meet hard work and dedication to one’s craft.
