ESPN College GameDay is in Memphis, Tennessee for the first time ever as the 2019 college football season rolls on with a top 25 clash between the SMU Mustangs and Memphis Tigers at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.

Ahead of the game between the in-state rivals, the College GameDay crew of Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, and David Pollack — joined by WWE legend Jerry Lawler, who was serving as the guest picker — went through their weekly picks before it came down to Lee Corso and his headgear pick.

When it came time to unveil his choice for today’s big game, who did Corso roll with?

Memphis currently sits at 7-1 on the season and is ranked No. 24 in the latest AP Top 25 poll, while SMU sits at No. 15 as one of just nine unbeaten teams in the nation. The game’s winner will have the inside track to represent the West Division of the American Athletic Conference in the conference championship game.

Despite being the higher-ranked team, SMU will enter the game at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium as 6-point underdogs. Kickoff on ABC is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
