If you were watching Game 5 of the World Series over the weekend, chances are you noticed an interesting moment during the 7th inning. Julia Rose, the founder of something called ShagMag, and brand executive Lauren Summer both went viral for a risque moment.
The two women lifted their ShagMag t-shirts and flashed Houston Astros pitcher Gerrit Cole from behind home plate.
The moment was captured on a live television broadcast, and now the two women are paying the price. According to both Rose and Summer, they were booted from the game and have been banned indefinitely by Major League Baseball for their stunt.
“During the game, you violated the fan code of conduct by exposing yourself during the 7th inning, in order to promote a business,” a letter from MLB read.
Both women shared a photo of the letter on social media.
And if Rose and Summer were hoping to distract Cole, it didn’t have much of an effect. Houston went on to secure a 7-1 win over the Washington Nationals to take a 3-2 series advantage. Houston can close out the series in Game 6 on their home field on Tuesday, October 29.
As for what’s next for Rose and Summer, you can be certain that their Instagram followings will be on the rise.
Summer currently has 1.5 million followers, while Rose sits at a cool 2.8 million.
