Radio host Paul Finebaum is known for speaking his mind. And when it comes to SEC Football, Finebaum is never shy about telling his audience how he really feels. That was once again the case this week during his weekly radio spot with 94.5 WJOX.

Finebaum was discussing a moment during this past weekend’s loss for the Tennessee Volunteers when he blasted Vols head coach Jeremy Pruitt.

Pruitt came under fire during the loss after he was captured on camera grabbing the facemask of quarterback Jarrett Guarantano after a fumble against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Finebaum didn’t seem to believe that the facemask grab was appropriate and he laid into the head coach while questioning whether or not Pruitt is actually the guy who can turn the Tennessee program around.

“It’s embarrassing,” Finebaum said, via Saturday Down South. “I think Jeremy forgets sometimes he’s the head coach of the University of Tennessee, he’s on national television. He needs to act in an appropriate way.

“I’m not saying it’s a fireable offense, because it’s not, it’s just one more thing that you look at in his overall resume, and you wonder how much upside does this guy have.”

Here is video of the moment Finebaum has issues with:

Pruitt, who was the former defensive coordinator at the University of Georgia and University of Alabama, is now just 7-12 during his time as a head coach.

After their latest loss, the Vols sit at just 2-5 on the season.

Up next for Tennessee as they attempt to turn things around is a meeting with the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday, October 26. Kickoff at Neyland Stadium is set for 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS. Things won’t be easy for Pruitt and company, however, with the Gamecocks riding the momentum of an upset win over the No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs.
