A grandfather in Dublin, Ireland pulled off an epic prank at his own funeral that gave his family members one final laugh from beyond the grave. Shay Bradley planned the prank to lighten the mood during the celebration of his life. His daughter, Andrea Bradley, shared the video on social media.
“My dad’s dying wish, always the pranksters, ya got them good Poppabear and gave us all a laugh just when we needed it!! I will love you forever,” Andrea wrote in her tribute when sharing the video. “It was his dying wish that we played this at his funeral. What a man, to make us all laugh when we were incredibly sad. He was some man for one man. Love you forever Poppabear.
“My grandad wanted everyone leaving his funeral with a smile on his face and that’s exactly what he got, I’m so proud. Never a day went by he wasn’t cracking a joke or have a smile on his face no matter the circumstances.”
After Bradley’s coffin was lowered into the ground, family members were stunned to hear his voice.
Before Bradley had passed away, he pre-recorded a message that had his family members in tears from their uncontrollable laughter. Bradley’s voice could be heard on the message saying that he was in the box and trying to get out.
“Hello?”, the audio began. “Let me out! It’s ******* dark in here. Let me out. Where the **** am I? Is that that priest I can hear? I can hear you! I’m in the box.” He then ends the video with the Neil Diamond lyrics “Hello again… hello. I just called to say… goodbye.”
